Small font that is cursive, thin, and italicized is at least three strikes. To keep it simple, never use cursive or thin for reading, period. Italic is for emphasis in paragraphs only, not for hierarchy or style. Thank you for coming to my graphic design Ted Talk.
it is me, or this looks like some kind of a 2d video game? you have your own small world, you can go to town, interact with stuff... I'm getting a late 90s, early 20s video game vibes :)
Being on the hotness of bgg I was intringue and the art and theme looks good but theres a lot I'm not sure about... I dont understand why you would go exploring if it doesnt give only the opportunity to send your drone yet gives new ressource draft to everyone. Also, I find odd how you discard the map token on the map to take another map token. Also why is there a distinction between a point and half a point, why not just 1 and 2 point ? Why is the icon for a point a circle and half a point some kind of trophy ? Why are bubbles icons some kind of crystal ?
you're in a race to explore because you get a 1/2 point for discovering a new terrain board, and there's nothing in the game more valuable than that :) not sure what you mean by 'discard map to get a map'... maybe i'm forgetting something? i will agree though that the 1/2 point scoring thing is a bit weird, not sure why they did that. but there's nothing wrong with it... just a bit different :)
Maybe i am mistaken, but I was refering to the fact that you took a round map token on the board@@rahdo , discarded it, then took a square map token. It makes more sense with the other ressource since there is tracker for them on the player board, but it feels odd for the maps.... Just adds to the overall feeling of unnecassary
oh yeah, i suppose so. but i've seen LOTS of games that do this... like legends of andor has a lot of face down fog tiles you reveal as you explore. sometimes they have a coin on them, and you swap out the "fog coin" for a "regular coin". you don't have to, but it's just being consistent with the component types :)
i would say it's definitely worth $70 plus shipping for the base game plus one expansion. there's so much gameplay in the core box, that the other expansion while nice i'm sure is something that could wait until later :)
Art is really great, but I am afraid of the issues I had with Endless Winter - table space which is required is just too much, too many mechanisms and stuff put in which did not feel was working good together for me. Dunno, Floe looks also that it is bringing the hype, is a pretty looking game, but just too much is going on, half points, 2 cards for building, etc, etc. Endless Winter is like an unfinished gem for me 😅 it is a good game, but not great and I’m hesitant of backing this one because of this previous experience.
I agree. The art of Endless Winter pulled me in but watching playthroughs, with so much going on, has stopped me from getting it to the table. I feel that Floe would be the same?
@@haxan6663 the developers have talked about how the final game will come with different modes of play where not all elements are activated. this runthrough would be "super heavy/everything turned on" mode :)

Oof, yeah. That font is rough...
Luckily that could still be adjusted!
Eek.. I hate bad font. Easier and bigger font is always better. Grand Austria hotel old edition was so annoying with the italics font
Graphic design 101.
Looks beautiful and intuitive to play. 😊
you rolled a lantern in the last fight of the video, weren't you suppose to get another explore turn because of it?
1:08:02 It doesn’t look like you discussed how lanterns work after encounters! Could you explain, please?
basically the more lanterns you have, the more bonus tokens you get to collect :)

I wonder if it is worth spending about 200 dollars for this game.. (including shipping)

46:27 How do you get bubbles?
Ah, I see a few ways - in the video!
57:44 What? She wouldn’t have had the building!
