Great one benjanin will have to watch the begining later.
And benjanin y and r is starting to lose momentum god I hope they don't do a Kyle Claire pairing I want harrison sorased to be claires age yes the new actor is good but when they recast should have just made Harrison an 18 year old or something.
It's not too late though but time to really soras Harrison and maybe free his mother Tara Locke or something but honestly benjanin Elisabeth leiner should have been the recast summer VS Alison leinier the actress who played Tara and fur god sakes if they soras Harrison and do a Claire Harrison pairing then coleen can come back for a visit as aunt Jordan and do the 1989 James stenbeck with Paul and Emily anyway benjamin to understand why I am right here is some coleen stuff for you to watch and that's 1989 atwt starting around August 1989 and work your way up to December. Then you can watch all of 1990.
And benjamin you can see from 1989 up to January of 1990 one of your gl Alums Gregory beecroft or tony Reardon playing brock Lombard but unlike tony Reardon brock Lombard was not a liked charecter.
And you can see benjamin Ellen Dolan make her debut as Margo in December of 1989 taking over from Hillary Smith the original Maureen buar and yes I have seen recently Ellens work as Maureen diferent from Ellen Parker but bloody good.
And you will also see Lisa brown as Iva Snyder. but Iva was very diferent from Nola Reardon.
Anyway take care but Barbara was a loved charecter but the Doug Marland version was my favorite. VS the directions they took the charecter in the later years.

@@gabrielstern4992 as usual thank you so much yes I would like to see us pick up a little bit of steam on YNR, and it would be nice to have Ricky back on YNR as a rehabilitated Gary Dawson act should be interesting and a good writer could do it!! And I’ve always loved Ellen Dolan , but really fell in love with Ellen Parker in the role she and Tina and I’ll say Peter wasn’t my favorite as Ed but a damn good actor💯👏 in that storyline, I won’t go into it where she dies so upsetting. My mom was a registered nurse for 52 years her sister, my aunt ANN, and Boston general they had to make sure all TV sets were not on guiding light during that time because all the patients were too upset, so I’m sure they lost a lot of the viewership but yes, catch today’s beginning of this fabulous interview you’ll enjoy it.

Me too chase just got to see the begining and again concerning Sam fowler picked the wrong actor but an interesting revaluation ricky showed up to audition for Sam fowler number 3 just like Chris Bruno showed up to audition for Sam fowler number 4.
And chase I need to tell Alan the women in the picture with ricky from the reunion is Julie Osborn who of course played Kathleen.
Too much idiocy was going on when Donna swajeski was headwriter just like when years later she showed up at guiding light.

@@Chase4everChase thanks chase I hope you are doing well too just wait until I can finally get my version of ladykiller redo done but might take some time as I need to get more funds to get my guitar builds done and a keyboard controller but I have a trans sibling who can play guitar and 2 good friends that can play too.
As I can only do very basic rythyms do to hand injuries.
I just have to get them to play everything the way I hear it in my head.
And yes I will do the vocals but who knows I might using a Ai software program use a profile and do an alternative version as if a certain singer named Ralph sheepers sung it and certain musicians who were much more experienced did the song VS a bad bon Jovi slippery when wet version that rascal did with the exception of the singer and yes chase maybe certain people liked that but to me the song was never done so it was the best it could be and ricky did sound good on the redone intro too.
But I still prefer the demo version chase that we would have heard up until the episode when Olivia had her fall.
And that's just my thoughts as someone who actaully understands those types of songs and lyrics and it fitting with the storyline.

Yes a grear one scott I actaully watched ricky first on another world but Dean frame was nothing like gus or Jake Martin but he did have grear chemistry with Ala korat but the characters were just not written as likable or like ricky was written on guiding light or all my children.
Let's say when ricky came to guiding light as gus it was like night and day VS Dean frame unfortunately that same headwriter from another world showed up at guiding light when Ellen wheeler became ep amd ruined gus and ruined Harley and she commuted charecter assisnatiin with grant Alexander and Phillip it was disgusting and did not get fixed with Phillip until the lasr 9 months of the show.
And Scott once I am well I am going to work on my own version of lady killer the song and lyrics are not bad it was just recorded by the wrong band that fans chose and was not arranged properly at all or the corect musical keys. Or sounded like minus the singer a bad bon Joviike recording from 1986 VS the demo John leofler version which was played on the show until the rascal version debut and sounded much better with just keyboards guitars and keyboard drums and vocals.
You can watch in you tube the aw episodes dated 8/26/91 to gear the most complete demo version but the rascal debut happened in 09/09/91 and then sometime at the end of September during the video shoot on the show they had an explosion where Frankie frame got injured.
But lady killer was one of the more memorable aw storylines but nothing like eternia on oltl or the Janice frame storyline from 1980.

I’m a big All My Children fan, and if I ever saw an AMC alum in any movie online, I always gave the movie 5 stars, just because it had an AMC alum. I only had to make 2 exceptions to that rule. One was almost a goofy 80’s or 90’s movie “Lambada” which starred TWO Jake Martins - J. Eddie Peck AND the incomparable Ricky Paull Goldin!! J. Eddie and Ricky even had a SCENE together, and I felt like I had whiplash. Both did their best in this not-so-great movie, which had some cringe-worthy moments. Ricky, of course, was fantastic as sort of a funny “heavy,” while J. Eddie was the straight-laced high school teacher (married and with a kid) who danced the Lambada at clubs at night and had a female student who had a crush on him. OK, won’t give away too much, but with two Jakes in the SAME movie, I just HAD to give it a reluctant 5-stars, but still 5 stars nevertheless! God bless you, Ricky Paull! I only knew you as Jake, but it’s so great to hear about your great career! I too had kids later in life and was stay-home dad to twin girls from birth to age 7. The girls are 14 now and starting high school, hard to believe! And thank you Alan for doing all these great interviews!

Alan,I felt like that I was intruding on a conversation with two old friends. I first watched Richard on AW,and I loved the character of Dean. His best performances were as Gus and very disappointed with the way the character was written off. I followed him to AMC, and B and B.I have read several articles about his business ventures in local papers. I was touched by the picture of you and your late father. I am sure that he will be celebrating Father's Day with my late father. Also, when my father came to America he worked nights and he watched the first three years of ATWT. He got my mom to watch and tell him what he was missing for the next six years. I made a mistake Scott Bloom appeared in Who's the Boss, not his brother Brian. Again, a great interview.

This was a really lovely interview Alan. I literally was thinking about Ricky Paull the other day, I watched him as Dean on AW, I would see him on GL & AMC but was never truly invested as much as I was when he was on AW. He looks great, the man look like he has not aged a day. His family is beautiful. I wish him and all dads out there a happy Father's Day.
PS. I know I have asked this a number of times but I would love to see an interview with Robin Christopher and Matt Crane, I loved her so much on AW, AMC, OLTL and GH, one of the view actors I fallowed from one show to the next. Something tells me she might not be someone that really wants to talk, but maybe one day she might change her mind, 😊

Thanks Alan a great interview I missed the begining though and Alan I am very sure Martha Byrne did an episode or 2 of who's the boss as several years ago I watched reruns of it.
And she played one of Samanthas friends it was either during the second or third season of the show but maybe the first season.
So Martha worked with Alyssa Milano. From what I remember but just can't remember if it was just one episode or multi episode before she took over the part of lily in 1985.
And remember Alan Martha said she did do a lot of episodic television but understandable why it might be hard to keep track because it was a lot. As for Brian bloom I can't remember if he did Kate and Allie either as that's been years and I can't find it anywhere on DVD or in reruns on any channel nowadays.
Now ricky did an episode of baywatch either in it's first season or second season but can't remember.
And Alan Patrick muldoon the original Austin from days did play Samantha's husband during the last season of who's the boss.
It's hard to keep up and of course hearing ricky talk about Paul Rauch I think with Paul he just liked a certain type of actor or writer and I say that because some fans comments just call him a jerk because of what happened with micheal zaslow or his clashes with Ellen Holly or Robin strasser or because of his clashes with jaqualine Courtney and George reinholdt at another world but on the other hand grant Alexander loved him Carolyn culliton and her husband Richard loved him and harding Lemay loved him as ep at another world and harding and Paul Rauch was the one who turned Doug Marland from Doug Marland the actor into Doug Marland the great headwriter.
I just think at guiding light the writers Paul was working with through most of his run were not like a harding Lemay or a Doug Marland or you know a s Micheal snezzal and when you don't have those kinds of headwriters like a Doug Marland around you you just get bored and that's when dumb ideas like the reva clone storyline start happening.
But In ricky Paul Goldens case I think he joined at gl right when millie Taggart was coming back as Co headwriter at Paul's insistence.
And she is a good headwriter too but I think gl was already pretty much damaged by that point.
But at least Paul's tenure at gl ended on a better note than what it was for most of his run I just think if Paul Rauch had been lured back to aw back in 1991 when ricky was there as Dean frame and sent micgeal liabson to guiding light to replace Bob Calhoun Paul would have worked with ricky 10 years earlier and Paul would put a stop to what was going on at aw at the time with what Donna swajeski was doing as headwriter. And he was the kind of producer aW needed at that time you know the kind of ep who was going to crack the whip and not be afraid to challenge a headwriter over a bunch of half baked storylines that just does not look right.

Alan sorry to chime in again but just saw the begining.
So I will tell you who the women is in the picture with ricky from the aw reunion that's Julie Osborn who played Kathleen and Alan that's someone you need to get as a guest for the Locher Room and Kathleen was Jake's cousin and she worked with Stephen a lot and was his wife sadly Donna swajeski that same headwriter ruined her by undoing Kathleen's death.
Also Alan From the revaluation ricky told that was fascinating that ricky Paul golden actually auditioned against Danny merkal for the part of Sam fowler or as say Sam fowler number 3. He would have been a terrific Sam fowler again because he was more like Robert Kelker Kelly.
And of course Danny merkel only lasted 6 months but I did watch an interview Danny merkel did back in 1990 and he seemed like a nice guy but again was not the correct actor for the role of Sam fowler.
But defenetely fascinating ricky first then Chris Bruno who was up against Brian Greene the last Sam fowler and of course Brian Greene would end up screwing over aw because he wanted to go to all my children and if course he went there but only lasted 6 months.
And Alan Alison that ricky was mentioning was Alison hossack again a fine actress who played Olivia Matthew's but they way she was written was awful and Olivia was not a well recieved charecter because Donna screwed her charecter up by having her play a spoiler to Sam and Amanda then pretend Sam fowler was her baby's dad when it was Dennis where if Olivia had been paired with Mathew Cory that would have been a good pairing after Alexandra Wilson left who played Josie who was Matt Cory's girlfriend.
And Olivia was fir awhile Josies best freind.
But Alan once again you suprize us.
Anyway if ricky had been Sam fowler number 3 he would have worked with Sandra Ferguson.
Instead of alla karot who is also a fine actress but again was not written well by Donna just like ricky and it's a shame because Chris Bruno went on to do that balsy ground breaking role at amc.
Ricky years later would show up at guiding light and knock our socks off as gus.
Ajs Alan I still think Andy kavovit should have been Sam fowler number 4 just based off of how Donna was writing the charecter when Brian Greene was playing the charecter.
And of course Alan you should try and get Sandra Ferguson on your show but not sure if she went to the reunion or not.
And Alan if I have critisms again it's not directed at the actors necessarily either it comes down to often not making the correct casting choices or writing the charecters corectly but you know what you can hire the correct actor too or have the actor fans want like Robert Kelker Kelly who was the original Sam fowler but if you are going to insist on writing the charecter improperly and try and sex up the charecter too much or change the charecter or not write the charecter corectly then that can cause issues too and that's why Robert left in 1990 and yes or came out with complaints like I am taking my shirt off too often and other complaints but that's what happens when you don't write properly for the character.
And it does not mater who you hire sometimes but it can screw up your casting choices too which is pretty much what happened after Robert left the role in 1990. And it bit the show in the butt. Because of bad and wrong casting choices for Sam fowler.
And Alan don't believe me go watch 1987 when Robert Kelker Kelly joined the show and then watch how the charecter was written from December of 1988 all the way up to January of 1993. And it was painful and awful.
To watch the charecter assignations that were done to not just Sam fowler but a lot of charecters on the show during the Donna swajeski years and sadly it continued except for a brief bright period where Carolyn culliton was headwriter.
And John valente was executive producer.
But it started when micheal liabson was ep and Donna swajeski was headwriter.
And here's the thing micheal liabson should have stuck with harding Lemay back in 1988 when he came back after a 9 year absence.
But was gone 3 months later pathetic.
Thats the guy who taught Doug Marland and wrote pretty much like Doug Marland did with a few subtle differences.

My least favorite Soap Opera character ever. The way he harassed and bullied Kathleen and not a single woman said a word of his misogyny was horrible. Nothing against Ricky, but Dean the **** was a horrible person. And Frankie sitting there and watching him do it said a lot about her lack of character.
