Just incredible playing btw. Inspiring
Really appreciate it!!
The Bosendorfor has the richness, but the Nord has the shimmer to cut through in a live setting.
I agree!
1:20 brought me to tears.😅
Can you offer instructions on formatting the disc drive and the link to download for montage 8? I just recently received mine and have not really explored this aspect as I Am technology challenged 😊I’m loving it though. Incredible instrument
Can we one day get a video on which piano tone best suits a particular genre, solo piano, accompaniment, studio, live gigs etc. 😀
That’s a good idea, I can work on that!
apples and oranges. although im finding it hard to beat the playability of nord pianos ( like 20 uprights to choose from ). nord stage 4 only 6 grand! the more they come out with new ones though the older ones get more affordable at least :0 wonderfull playing as usual andrew, take care.
Thanks for watching!!
Maybe Bösendorfer for solo piano takes or a piano accompaniment. But Nord when a full band is present.
I agree
Bosen is richer and more airy like a Grand. Nord is more focused and probably better for inserting in tracks.
Bolso all the way. Yamaha is the gold standard.
Great playing. Do you think these sound as good as Junior's plugins from Brazil?
These are actually from Junior’s plugins lol the Bosendorfer from Synthage and the Imperial from Ultimate Stage Pianos
@@AndrewMcKain oh, I thought that was from the montage....
Please what song Is this I can’t think of the name
Yo Are Great. You Deserve The Glory
@@jayleon07 thank you
what's the first song name?
"You Deserve the Glory"
Bösendorfer is a richer, more bodied sound, especially on the low end. That's what the Bösendorfer is known for its extra low octave.
Truth!
U can go either way but I think the Nord will cut better in a mix
This cutting-in-a-mix thing is pure bullshit. Wether a piano will fit in a mix or not, solely depend on the mix. Sometimes you need a bright piano and sometimes you want a mellow one, but our ears is normally drawn to brighter frequencies so if you in example have a bright piano along with a vocalist that piano will often start to fight for the attention instead of the vocals. Therefore Yamaha and Nord will work equally well in a mix.
@@theclaverman good explanation, some boards just naturally have a stronger presence in a mix than others but yes they can be eq the same
Yamaha's Bösendorfer is better in my opinion.
Remember thats a sample of the Nord not the actual true Nord being played from the actual keyboard so its really not a fair comparison. The montage sound is straight from the hardware of the keyboard so thats a big difference
Prefer the Nord! The Nord sample has more fullness!
I used samples for both sounds
Nice playing. The Nord sound is more lively, realistic, less synthetic than Yamaha‘s, but too tiny. With a bit of effect or EQ tweaking, rhis should be a minor problem. I had the Yamaha Boesendorfer on my MODX and deleted it because it sounded extremly boxy without any chance to correct this by effect or EQ filtering, the Montage is better suitable for this Multisample, it seems.
Bosendorfer
nord imperial all the way ,sounds more soulful, the other one a bit too beefy
