It's nice to see a bigger rug! I LOVE that the first step you do - is wet down the rug and manually brush off and scrape off the first layer of mud/dirt, before using the rotary. I wish you would show us the drying process at the end of your videos!!!!!!!

He probably lets it sit on clothes line or something to let it dry.

They roll these huge rugs up and put them in a long, cylinder spinner. It spins all the water out, just like a washing machine does a load of clothes. Then they hang them on this huge, heavy duty rotating "rack" that supports these rugs. They air dry the rest of the way. The end.

Floods cause most of these rugs to get dirty the water that goes in the houses are filled with mud so the rugs get it as they are on the floors. Can’t be helped. Though my rug had to be cleaned as it was peed on by a kitten a few times and to get the smell out it cost over £1000 so I know it must be worth a good few pounds more than that as it’s similar to this only bigger and thicker, I could tell by the width of the roll mine is three times the size when rolled up. Though the centre patten is not as large as this one. After having it cleaned it’s in a room we never use so it’s kept in good condition. Must get it valued.I inherited it so don’t have a clue.

You need a giant draining grate right in the middle of your floor so the water drains out right away instead of sitting underneath. It would have to be fine grating so you didn’t damage the carpet when scrubbing but every time you lift up the carpet and there’s all that dirt underneath it’s so discouraging! Don’t know how you have to patience to do this. I hope you are WELL compensated.

Nice to see a smaller room that's easier to rinse, and interesting to see a variety of cleaning methods and machines and styles. I have some small rugs, and have cleaned them, but usually just one rinse and soaping and rinsing will get clean rinse water! Then ... drying ... waiting ... waiting ... (I hang them up, but it still takes two or three days before they get fluffy).

It was left to me by my Gran who said it was about 40 years old when she got it and had it for 35 years never really used as it’s in the front room lounge we don’t use it much as it’s got no Tv or internet in it, I wonder how much it’s worth?
