I've been having a hard time finding a loadout that is both fun and effective against bugs for a while, this does both and now I have returned to the bug front once again you have my thanks fellow Helldiver! o7
I use the Torcher for primary, Grenade pistol for secondary, EAT or Quasar to deal with Bile Titans and Thermites for those annoying Impalers. Statagems: 500kg, Gatling or Nalpam Barrage for bug breachs and clear out heavy nest
@ aim isn’t needed that much, the idea is that bullet spread helps at range but you’d usually pull it out when there’s a hunter in your face, in a general direction, most or some of the pellets would connect because of how close they are:]
@@captaincaptain2128 in the video I’m playing D7 but I’ve also used it in D10. It’s enough for me to survive solo but bile titans become a problem on higher difficulty. Taking disposable anti tank instead of rail cannon has worked for me as well.
@@GamingPIPI I dunno if this still works. I swear they buffed the aggression level on the enemies, because they feel way more aggressive after the latest patch. Me and my brother have been playing since launch, we're both over level 100 and are pretty good at the game, but playing Helldive today we faced a bit more of a challenge than usual, so we're pretty sure they increased the aggro, possibly to make melee more useful now that there seems to be more emphasis on melee weapons. Enemies charge you way more.
@@captaincaptain2128 i haven’t noticed it yet, but it’s definitely possible! But the gas makes them not aggro towards you, which is very nice :D. I don’t play D10 very often tho. But last time I did I was the only survivor with this build :D.
@@GamingPIPI can confirm that doesn't seem to be true. The gas doesn't seem to affect their aggro at all. I've got a full gas build, the watch dog, the sterilizer, has grenades, has orbitals, and they still charge me. Like I said, I think they made them more aggressive to encourage more melee encounters for the new melee weapons. They definitely charge you more and get swarmed way more often, probably to make melee builds more of a viable option.
@ I don’t know if we have the same understanding of aggro :). Maybe a language issue on my part. What I mean is that when the bugs are intoxicated they don’t really charge at you. They are aggressive, but just attack randomly and walk a random direction. If you are too close, they will still hit you with their random punches. I’ve been playing on D9 and D10 more today, and it worked the same for me… I don’t know if it has changed compared to how it was before patch (I didn’t use gas then), but regarding the aggro I don’t have issues once they’re under the effect of the gas... Only thing I noticed is that sometimes when dealing with large groups the drone isn’t able to affect the entire group so some enemies go unaffected. But the fire kills them before it becomes a problem most of the time.
other similar loadout i perfer: torcher + grenade pistol + railgun and dog breath railgun for bile titans torcher for groups grenade pistol for closing bug holes maybe qussar is better for heavy tragets but two shot the bile titan head with railgun is just go to for me
@@Nue_SL in the video I was playing D7. But I’ve also used it on higher difficulty (up until D10) 😊. On higher difficulty it could come in handy if you replace the orbital railcanon with for example EAT to deal with heavy enemies. I’ll update some D9 gameplay later :). It works very well!
For those interested, I’ve uploaded an updated version of D9/10😊. Check it out here:

I think the shotgun secondary would be better because you’re using crossbow and you could still pepper shriekers
@@ProfessionalEepyHead i can try it :). My aim is not very good so that’s why I chose the laser for now :). For ammo it’s very handy.

@@GamingPIPI understandable
@@ProfessionalEepyHead 😊 I will try shotgun soon
What difficulty are you at, because that plays a pretty big role in the effectiveness of this build. Not sure this will be as effective on Helldive.
