@@rickdawg007 haha it can help soak up odors. Hopefully not too much moisture in there. If you have any trouble vacuuming it all up out of the carpet, take an electric sander (with no sandpaper attached lol) or massage gun and vibrate the carpet while you run the vacuum. 👍
I have a smell in my accord that I have no clue where it came from but it even got into my leather. I used a water and vinegar mix with a rag for my leather, then a spread baking soda all over the for seat areas. I only let the baking soda sit for a short time so maybe that is why the smell didnt come out of the car. I used Lysol disinfectant and deoderizer in my car vents by way of the cabin air filter box. The smell is not coming from that part of the car, I have been using something called oder ban that seems to do the trick for a bit but it comes back. my next thing to do is to spray down the entire overhead. I did the baking soda in the trunk too and the smell is still in there. I am going to dedicate this week to killing the smell. I bought new weatherproof mats for the car and the smell from those has over ran the bad smell from the car itself, so now my car has the new car/rubber smell in it. I just need to sniff each item so I can see where the smell is and attack it like that i guess.
Just fyi, saw one video and a man found a dead mouse in his air filter vent. He changed out the filter and vacuumed the dead vermin then used baking soda on carpet, bowl of vinegar overnight and a car neutralizer bomb for 15 minutes and said the smell went away. Hope this helps cause I would never think a mouse could get in the air vent. Also years ago my cousin had a smell she could not locate and her car smelled awful Turns out some milk from a month before she swore the cashier didn’t give her had rolled under her back seat and lodged on a bar under the seat, which is why she could never find cause she didn’t get down to look all the way under the seat. She would felt under it and vacuumed many times and kept saying idk what it could be? When I got down on the ground to see I told her “I see the cause of your problems” Spoiled milk in over 95 degree summer weather for over a month. You have no idea how rancid her vehicle had gotten 😮😅😅
Also there’s an amazing product from ZEP to get rid of urine smell from cats or dogs but especially cat spray. It works completely! A cat sprayed my nice bag and I used this product and it got the smell out entirely and it never came back. No trace whatsoever. I was amazed. I use it on everything now.
Which of these tips are you going to try out? What other tips did I miss? Comment below!!
