  • Bridge driver circuits are a great, simple, and inexpensive way to drive ultrasonic transducers. They are can work at high frequencies. In this video, I describe how three types of bridge drivers can be used to drive ultrasonic transducers. This video will arm you with a high level understanding of topic.

Most informative, the Bridge Driver application is perhaps the easiest circuit to replicate using MOSFET gate drivers, cheers Dr Shekhani.

Thanks for the note! There also single chips that take all that stuff off of your hands too.

@@ultrasonicadvisors I'm very familiar with MOSFET/IGBT driving techniques, with particular emphasis on powering inductive loads, thanks Dr Shekhani.

If you take it off your hands then it must be on your foot am i right Dr. Shekhani?

Does the H bridge create double displacement value compared to other presented bridges (since it is now compressing and retracting)?
Thank you in advance for your response and for the clear and informative video.

Is there a advantage to use AC voltage over DC voltage to drive a transducer?

From my experience, the AC voltage has to rectified to DC before it can be used to power the ultrasonic AC drive circuit.
