You are honestly my favorite channel for disc review cause not only are you showing several shots but you are brutally honest. Also you aren’t just saying if something is good or bad but pointing out what styles or arm speeds it may be better for.
You're a more honest Disc critic than anyone! I love your reviews, and know your comments are right from the gut, no bully poo or fluff talk. Just listening to you reveals you're not a sell out!
Been trying to work the torque into my bag, loving the flight and look forward to some flatter runs. Id love to see a md4 type disc from Finish line. Something beefy but not dumpy.
i have one round on the spore so far, i was throwing dimes with the approach shots (i think the gentle fade helped) and even made a couple funky stance putts that i could only use wrist. i’ve loved it so far.
For anyone saying ‘you favour one disc’, each time you release a bad throw or don’t quite hit the disc potential, YOU CLEARLY MENTION IT! How can people say you play favourites when you always point out when you mess up or could have done better? You’re just being honest with your game. Love the reviews
I believe there's also the Parachute and Pitch that are Axiom and Streamline versions of the glitch in the making. Get them in diff plastics and we'll have a bunch of floaty 1 speeds available.
The discs that were comparable to me with similar flight was the OG Innova Kite and Skeeter in star plastic as far as a glidey straight to turnover disc.
For me, I’m hoping that this is a slightly more stable max weight glitch. I really like my glitch for some shots. But I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a glitch like disc at a higher weight with a little bit more stability.
Latitude64 Beetle was almost certainly the first one, but their lightweight molding was crap back then so they were all over the place in stability. Not sure if they make them anymore, but superfun to throw. Glitch got a lot of marketing though, so we think of it as the first discgolf catch disc.
I'm sure nobody ever say's this but I don't really like the glitch because the feel and inconsistent turnover. I love the glow envy(stable). Glow Reko (straight) stock Luna (rarely used turnover). But I have a very consistent touch 4hand with new Toro, beat in pyro,(open slot- beat in pig 4 now) I need Flippy torque resistant 4hand 4 speed.
You should play a competitive round with Finish Line discs. Not hating, I have purchased your products and will continue to do so. Just kinda want to see what happens.
Well, MVP wanted a glidy, slow and straight(ish) unique putter to match the Innova Aero. The halo star Aeros are made with slightly different mold than the originals, for the OG molds were aluminium and had worn out. Aero is the mother of these floaty, slow, stable straight putters, after which came the Birdie, Zephyr, and Polecat. MVP took the consept and made it small diameter, like the Birdie with thinner rim and overmolds. Spore on the other hand is practically an Aero..😅
@@DrewGibson shure! I've bagged several Aeros, and the halo stars are definetly more stable than the older runs. I don't have much exp. of the spore, but for what it looks and is meant to be, the concept comes from the Aero. The prime target on the market are the glitch fans for there are many many more of them than there are Aero fans.
I don't understand why people want a more stable glitch or want an stable/overstable lightweight putter other than maybe the feel of the disc or for a very niche group of throwers. Its 155g. In my opinion these types of discs are utility discs for specific situations (i.e simons putt at DDO, or throwing anhyzers that dont come back). I just feel like it loses more value as a utility disc. If you need a more overstable glitch, why wouldn't you just throw a straight/overstable non-lightweight putter (for example, a dart on hyzer, pixel, watt)? Or even throw an understable midrange with slower arm speed? I'm not trying to hate on the Spore, I think its a great disc and discmania's first disc similar to a glitch, but I don't understand the need for a niche disc to be more overstable vs a understable/straight glitch.
I see and hate that review laziness in many disc golf creators... why not throw the discs again or if you don't have the time, the next day. Everyone just throws a disc fewer times than there are throwing combinations and then usually grip locking or shanking some of them Its not much of a review more like first impressions if you do it like that
@@DrewGibson yeah I get they are different, it actually seems like what a lot of people are looking for. I've heard a lot of people asking for more stable glitches. I just want to imagine a world where discmania made the spore to be petty about Simon saying that.
Nah not mad at all. I have a good thing going on my own. I’m not attached to other players. I love Simon and enjoy Eagle but they are a duo. I don’t have that dynamic with anyone.

I appreciate that! Thanks for tuning in!
I’ve always appreciated your disc reviews.

Thanks for the look Drew, and for collecting Bro Derrick's mail for us - our bad! 😂
No worries! Keep sending them lol

10:31 is really good framing! Why dont we see this more?
I’m reinventing the disc golf cinema game

That’ll be sweet. Look forward to it.
I’ve noticed the glow glitch from the gyropalooza box is more understable. Definitely turns faster than the traditional glitch.
Thank You for these fair and honest reviews
Keep Em Coming
Maybe it is just me, but the market seems to be saturated with overstable discs. Need more variety of understable options. Hint. Hint.
Finish line is focusing on understand this year!
@@DrewGibson Yea! 😁
@@DrewGibson I love understanding discs! They get me so well!
The Understand is a great name for a disc.
Noodle arm

Yeah I see that
In the words of Simon: different, not better.
🫡 that’s a nice way to put it!!
One thing I noticed was that the Spore has a really close profile to a Cryztal Challenger my buddy has, not sure if you have one to compare.
For me, I’m hoping that this is a slightly more stable max weight glitch. I really like my glitch for some shots. But I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a glitch like disc at a higher weight with a little bit more stability.

I do remember the beetle.
been waiting for this
thank you
I did a comparison of the two a few days ago...I'd call the Spore the Glitch OS.

Bro your putters are great but you gotta make a great turbo putter. Blunt edge, puddle top, smallest possible diameter. Please.

It's really cool that you can be honest even when your own company is the subject❤☠️🤘🏼
Drew you ever throw the Ohm by MVP? What'd you think about it?
How does it compare to the watt
Doesn’t compare at all. Watt is a much better disc for me lol
that camera angle on 13 is friggin awesome!
What pants are you wearing? I need some comfortable pants to disc in
Lululemon joggers!
Always wonder why no one mentions Innova Birdie.
Heck no. Please no.
@@DrewGibson ....and that's why!! Great reviews and BTW the audio and video is great. Rooting for you to have an amazing season!!
Is that Glitch beat in? I'm assuming the Glitch is straight and beats in like your video. While the Spore is a touch OS and will beat in straight.
beaten in like deez nuts
Dig the dope graphic on the back of your shirt

dang nice clouds on the intro at the very beginning
what's the mic youre using?
Spore vs Watt?
Not a fair comparison. The watt prob goes 50+ feet further and is much more workable.
@@DrewGibson Right on. I didn't know if the max weight nature of the Spore would make it more similar. The Watt is by far my favorite throwing putter.

I think spore is more stable than an aero personally.

Isn't the glitch an old Wham O mold??
you should show forehand throws to see its turn over resistance if it has any.😂
My side arm is 🚮
@DrewGibson it's better then most for testing purposes.
Best disc reviewer on the planet
right behind old ezra
You'll be excited for the Axiom Pitch then too. It's going to be the OS Glitch
always hitting us with those controversial titles bro

okay, my gutter brain needs to retire.

Sorta funny how Simon said that the glitch was a big motivator in him going to MVP. Now discmania has one like it 🤔
It’s not the same in reality. The first glitches Simon fell in love with have Minsk resemblance in flight from the discmania version.

Wow. Simon let's you play in his yard on his baskets with his glitch and you out here putting Xs on the Glitch. Smh Drew.
You’ll be fine. Also it was Paul’s house not Simon’s. Facts matter 😉
