You create a demon who was once an innocent soul who give his life for try to save you, and you kill him cowardly. Here Papyrus still believes in you, like usual til he sees the sad reality when Sans take the hit at his place, he felt guilty and like Sans begin to remember everything, all his death, all the run, and who is really the human. He felt more than guilty after what Sans travel, he becomes very furious, like pure rage. He is no more the nice, naive and hopeless Papyrus because he sees that you took everything from him since the beginning and not one time but hundred and thousand of times. Papyrus wants revenge and make the human pay and kill him once and for all instead of Sans who wants to make him change (happy ending). He knows about the happy ending and knows that it will never happen, he won’t make the same mistake like Sans. He knows that the human don’t care about happy ending this is why he is so mad in phase 3, he plays with the human live and becomes evil like Chara and consider the human not like someone but a thing. Like he saids : Since you play with our lives, let me play with yours =). In short : For me make it less scary is like removing a part of Undertale and it’s charm in a way. It’s like removing the alphys spooky level + the genocide run in a way too. Ps : Papyrus will be more powerful than Sans, like 3X harder, for the level of difficulty let’s say like getting over it.
If there is a pacifist route, PAPYRUS would be hard to spare because of your actions. He would need a good reason why you had changed. You'll need to spare him like 75 times, then he would listen. He is on his (ROYAL) guard so he decides to make a deal of him not fighting you, but you not fighting anyone. You can agree or disagree, disagreeing just kills Frisk, while agreeing stops the battle. He will remember this in later timelines. If you break the deal he softlocks your game, by breaking the Reset and Continue button. He won't be the same, he doesn't trust or believe in you, but he is neutral. The date with PAPYRUS is impossible. He is always wearing a grudge near you. He would be happy to murder you in cold blood, but the deal prevents him.

I love how this captures how innocent papyrus is and how childish he acts, but when he breaks, it shows a TRUE hero that even Undyne couldn't compare to.

@@HollowDSactually I've seen a theory that he's not actually focusing at all on his battle when you fight him, based off the fact that he doesn't move an inch(his mouth doesn't even move) dispite him being VERY active in his date, at the dump, and in the pacifist ending, and comparing it to the other bosses in terms of who is and isn't moving a lot in battle, who moves the most? omega flowey, Asriel, undyne(especially in her undying form), mettaton, mad dummy, and sans and asgore(though admittantly less so). who moves the least (aside from papyrus the cardboard cutout)? toriel and napstablook.

Even though papyrus is so nice to not even fully stop when you kill sans, the power of feeling resets was enough with that to cause even the kindest monster to turn into a horrible killer.

This is incredible. Bone-chilling even All jokes aside, it perfectly conveys Papyrus's emotions throughout the fight and shows his descent into madness. Great job overall!
I really like this history, not because of his great themes and/or amazing Animations, but because it does what everyone in the FUCKING EARTH wanted: an AU where papyrus understands hes fighting a monster. Not a monster like sans, toriel or grillby. A real and cruel monster. Every belief AU would just give him a last chance to spare him, or, in the human view, a last chance to mercilessly slay him. Dustbelief does that, disbelief did that, probably revenge: TUE did that to(i said probably). But last chance papyrus, he finally realizes what he must do, for all mosters AND even the humanity (extra:just like undyne did). This hits me in a diferent way.

Something about papyrus who is normally the nicest and most trusting character wanting you dead sends a literal chill down my spine amazing job, the music, the sprites, everything about this is badass! Perhaps in hard mode he remembers the previous battle and has completely different harder attacks and dialog.
As disbelief shocked papyrus after seeing his brother die in his hands, he knew what he had to do, and he promised his very last breath that he would make the human pay for what they did. edit: one year later and now i have 31likes thanks :D

Theory: the “NYEH HEH HEH” or “BONETROUSLE” motifs in phase 4 is papyrus slowly gaining back control of his body and as he is about to regain control frisk hits papyrus 2 times witch kills Gaster... If papyrus only came back slightly sooner the fight would be MUCH harder But hey! That’s just a theory A undertale THEORY thanks for reading

@@nofyx_pun-nishment Yeah unlike his brother he can use a lot of type of Gaster Blaster. This Papyrus is the hardest boss for now in ULB, he is far stronger than any boss you play, or encounter.
This is an amazing sounding ost (I've had it cycle past a few times while playing other games and it's always had me wondering which it was, as such it ended up on my watch later list for an actual viewing, which I've done today. This would have so much promise as an actual game and be amazing to see what others could do with it, though it'd need some dialogue fixes and text speed adjustments.

Genocide run is more than scary already and horrible, here it’s the consequence of your actions and you deserve it.
You create a demon who was once an innocent soul who give his life for try to save you, and you kill him cowardly.
Here Papyrus still believes in you, like usual til he sees the sad reality when Sans take the hit at his place, he felt guilty and like Sans begin to remember everything, all his death, all the run, and who is really the human. He felt more than guilty after what Sans travel, he becomes very furious, like pure rage. He is no more the nice, naive and hopeless Papyrus because he sees that you took everything from him since the beginning and not one time but hundred and thousand of times.
Papyrus wants revenge and make the human pay and kill him once and for all instead of Sans who wants to make him change (happy ending). He knows about the happy ending and knows that it will never happen, he won’t make the same mistake like Sans.
He knows that the human don’t care about happy ending this is why he is so mad in phase 3, he plays with the human live and becomes evil like Chara and consider the human not like someone but a thing.
Like he saids : Since you play with our lives, let me play with yours =).
In short :
For me make it less scary is like removing a part of Undertale and it’s charm in a way. It’s like removing the alphys spooky level + the genocide run in a way too.
Ps : Papyrus will be more powerful than Sans, like 3X harder, for the level of difficulty let’s say like getting over it.

If there is a pacifist route, PAPYRUS would be hard to spare because of your actions. He would need a good reason why you had changed. You'll need to spare him like 75 times, then he would listen. He is on his (ROYAL) guard so he decides to make a deal of him not fighting you, but you not fighting anyone. You can agree or disagree, disagreeing just kills Frisk, while agreeing stops the battle. He will remember this in later timelines. If you break the deal he softlocks your game, by breaking the Reset and Continue button. He won't be the same, he doesn't trust or believe in you, but he is neutral. The date with PAPYRUS is impossible. He is always wearing a grudge near you. He would be happy to murder you in cold blood, but the deal prevents him.

@@HollowDSactually I've seen a theory that he's not actually focusing at all on his battle when you fight him, based off the fact that he doesn't move an inch(his mouth doesn't even move) dispite him being VERY active in his date, at the dump, and in the pacifist ending, and comparing it to the other bosses in terms of who is and isn't moving a lot in battle, who moves the most? omega flowey, Asriel, undyne(especially in her undying form), mettaton, mad dummy, and sans and asgore(though admittantly less so). who moves the least (aside from papyrus the cardboard cutout)? toriel and napstablook.

Even though papyrus is so nice to not even fully stop when you kill sans, the power of feeling resets was enough with that to cause even the kindest monster to turn into a horrible killer.

All jokes aside, it perfectly conveys Papyrus's emotions throughout the fight and shows his descent into madness. Great job overall!
I really like this history, not because of his great themes and/or amazing Animations, but because it does what everyone in the FUCKING EARTH wanted: an AU where papyrus understands hes fighting a monster. Not a monster like sans, toriel or grillby. A real and cruel monster. Every belief AU would just give him a last chance to spare him, or, in the human view, a last chance to mercilessly slay him. Dustbelief does that, disbelief did that, probably revenge: TUE did that to(i said probably). But last chance papyrus, he finally realizes what he must do, for all mosters AND even the humanity (extra:just like undyne did).
This hits me in a diferent way.

Something about papyrus who is normally the nicest and most trusting character wanting you dead sends a literal chill down my spine amazing job, the music, the sprites, everything about this is badass!
Perhaps in hard mode he remembers the previous battle and has completely different harder attacks and dialog.

@@nofyx_pun-nishment Yeah unlike his brother he can use a lot of type of Gaster Blaster. This Papyrus is the hardest boss for now in ULB, he is far stronger than any boss you play, or encounter.

This is an amazing sounding ost (I've had it cycle past a few times while playing other games and it's always had me wondering which it was, as such it ended up on my watch later list for an actual viewing, which I've done today. This would have so much promise as an actual game and be amazing to see what others could do with it, though it'd need some dialogue fixes and text speed adjustments.
I really like phase 2s intro. Also i like the gaster phase. And then i like all of the original last breath ost, not the remasters.
