Hi, wow your work is fantastic!! Have you ever tried to make a Diatonic Harmonica case?
Where do you get your leather? Expensive?
Thank you!🙏😊 No I have not!
OA Leather, Zelikovitz to name a few 😊
I liked it and want one. Maybe that will be this weekend's project. It's the lanyard that sold me on this. I
Give it a try! 😊
@@freakofnatureco I love the Bigfoot stamp you use! Is that custom or?

Great Video Britt, a Master CraftsWoman!
Thank you! 😊
I've made a couple of the lighter things now, a little different style, but I still come back and watch yours. The looks you give when playing with the rotary tool are just so cute!
Hahaha thanks! And awesome! I’ve noticed that even with same patterns every piece is unique no matter whom the crafter :)
@@freakofnatureco I made a couple that I kinda tie dyed the leather with shaving cream, those are rather interesting.
The way you are making all this leather items and the charity of your movements, makes me want to see all of your videos. Very good job, keep going. Greetings from Athens Greece!
Greetings friend! Thank you so much 😊
Great projects, well executed, and a friendly smile.. I like it very much!
Thank you!! :)
Cool. Funny story: I started making money as a hobbyist leather craftsman when I was 12-13 years old -seems like it was in the Pleistocene now! 😄- making exactly that: leather covers for Bic lighters and selling them first to small local handicraft shops. Then my brother got me a contract with Sears to sell 300 of them! It was crazy work for a kid and I finished with nasty blisters on my hands, but quite happy & with some money in my pocket. Thanks for sharing!
Hahaha Sears! ;) and that’s actually awesome!! I’d be stoked to get a deal like that as an adult! Quite the accomplishment, good for you! Are you still crafting today?
@@freakofnatureco Well, I suppose I should give the credit to my brother RIP (a Sears employee by then) for the contract, but the Bic sleaves were good enough, they like them & they sold them out pretty soon. I am a research scientist now (animal ecology) so I do not have much time for leather work, unfortunately. I got on the small workshop table from time to time to make the eventual knife or axe sheath, wallet or other stuff and I still enjoy it very much. Keep the good leather work going. Your web page is very nice by the way. Nice that you work together with your husband on this. Thanks for asking.
@@manuelwebethank you for sharing this beautiful story

Olá garota seu trabalho é maravilhoso adorei
Thank you so much!☺️
Another idea one of my customers came up with. Professional wild feral pig hunters here in Outback Australia wanted a pouch for a double edged knife with the leather covering the entire knife and handle. Cos they are constantly losing their knives from standard knife pouches. For the point of the blade, I put a piece of aluminum at the bottom of the pouch to protect the leather from the sharp point which would have worn away at the leather. Customer suggested this idea. From a saddlemaker down under.
That’s interesting! Can’t say I’ve ever seen or build anything of that sort! Please share a pic!! :)
@@freakofnatureco Will do, I am making ten of these pouches for my customer at the moment, hand stitched!
I'd like to make a recommendation for a tool... Check out the Foredom flex shaft as it makes it a lot easier to hold in your hand and still have a variety of functions with it? I use it to make my Celtic jewelry with.
Thanks so much! I will definitely look into it! 👌🏼👌🏼

Ever used a stitching pony? Makes saddle stitching a breeze....
No I have not, but I need one! Thanks for watching😊
I just stumbled onto greatness. This lady is remarkable 👏. Bravo I love it
Thank you so much!! :)
Very good keep up the good work I enjoy watching your channel
Thank you, I will!🙏😊
Like this a lot . Thanks for sharing .😊
Thank you! And thank you for watching :)
Молодец.Красиво очень🙂
Thank you!😊😊

Enjoying your content and lack of filler. Would you consider doing a recycling video? I have a lot of used work boots that have good leather left.
Interesting idea! I’ve never thought of that.. maybe one day for sure its something I could tackle! :) thanks so much for watching
Gražu (nice)!
🙏🙏🙏😊
@@freakofnatureco Greetings from Lithuania
I don't know what's hotter right now. the lighter case. Or the beautiful being on which it hangs. LG
Ohh shucks! Staaap it 🤭 thanks so much for watching
Nice job! I enjoy your videos on both channels😁 How did you get into leathercraft?
Hey Shelley! Thank you so much!😊🙏 My husband actually started this addiction and I ran with it🙈 See you in the next video
Well done
Thank you :)
👋😎👍
😊🙏
again, very cool. simple and to the point! where do you get your rivet setter tooling?
I actually got it in my Amazon starter kit a fees years back :p
Wow, you have the same "quality" tools that I do. Not a fan of the punches, but someday I will buy better. I have the same awl too, guessing you got your kit on Amazon as well. I bought some new stitching punches, they were about $50 a piece, but oh boy, they are quality.
Great off the cuff project you made here, no pattern, and still came together nicely. You might consider wearing a mask when sanding the edges, not good to breathe that stuff in. I use my remaining stock masks from the covid era...
You would be correct Johnny! I started off with an Amazon kit...slowly being phased out as I improve and gather funds. Wearing a N-95 definitely wouldn't hurt either.
Thanks for watching & leaving some kind words!😊
Can you share what type of leather you use and where you get it from for a beginner?
I’m using 10oz(which is very thick, but you can get it any thickness you like) natural vegtan leather. Haven’t seen a leather store yet that doesn’t carry this type of leather. But a good place to start is Tandy leather store. :)
Do you offer these for sale ?
Hi Tanya, I am currently working on setting up an online store! Definitely stay tuned :)
One of your viewers asks about a phone pouch. I am working on a phone pouch which sits between my arm and my ribs like an underarm holster. Just an idea for you, from a saddlemaker Down Under.
I like that idea souly for style, I think it would look bad ass ;)
😍👋😊😉👍🏽🇦🇷
