I have the DJI Air 3 and I agree with everything you said in this video. Especially the part about the new 3X Tele opening up possibilities for shots we could never get with the single wide angle camera. Great video Mike, and thanks for sharing.
This was great! I am looking to upgrade from my Air 2 and I’m really on the fence between the Air 3 and the Mavic 3 Classic. I really want the portability (and the price) of the Air series, but need great camera quality for future projects. This video answered all of my questions, so great job. Probably buying an Air 3 soon 😃
Great review , I just got mine Air 3 but the weather in Thailand is very wet this time of the year so I haven't tried it yet. Thanks again from north eastern thailand 🙏🏻❤
Hi Drone surprimacy, just touching on the senser no 5k but its a graded - senser with gives it a beautiful picture /video so its not bad its as good as 5k & having it a bit heavier in weight, there is a reason & that reason is standing up to strong winds & that was pretty well on the up-grade when they were designing the new Mavic Air 3 so all in all its a well thought out drone and one of the best ever as far as I'm concerned if not the best. Its for all - amateur, professional.
I currently have the old Mavic Pro and have been looking at upgrading to a 360 degree drone. The biggest thing this drone brings to the table is VALUE. To get the equivalent from the Mavic Classic, it would cost me another $700 and all I get is a better camera. Judging by the footage I've seen, the camera does the job, making this drone (again) a great VALUE!
I also have the old Mavic Pro and want to upgrade instead of buying Mini 4 I rather add more and get this Air 3 because I need it for Real Estate and The Zoom would help with roof inspection or windmill or solar panels inspection
Here’s what I can’t figure out…the Remote has a mic and speaker, but I can’t figure out how to record my voice as a slate for the clips, or how to playback the audio. Ami I missing something?
One question... can I use one transmitter for the 2 drones, or do I have to take both transmitters all the time? If I can share one transmitter, how do I pair them and will the stored settings remain the same for both drones (carry over)?
Sorry to barge in with a question, but I'm in panic mode. I saw an update available on my DJI Air 3 and wanted to stay up to date. As it turns out, I updated my DJI Air 3 with the DJI Mini 4 Pro update and now my Air 3 always reads that my "storage is full." How can I solve this problem? I love the Air 3 with its 2 cameras, but If I don't have storage, what's the use in flying it?
Thanks for this video. I was bouncing between the Mavic 3 pro and the Air 3. A good friend who has both told me not do look down on the Air 3 because it takes great videos and pictures. Plus the Air 3 will save me a few dollars. I am not going for the look what I have, but going for the video and picture value. tnx agn
My biggest takeaway? Compared to my Mavic 3 Pro, Air 3 is more consistent across cameras. The Mavic 3 Pro seems cobbled together making different cameras work together. Air 3 is seamless, the look, feel and function of both cameras is the same. All flight modes and all camera features just work at 2 focal lengths (3 if you pick up the Air 3 Wide Angle Lens- at $59 it's easier to own than the $180 I paid for the Flagship's Wide Angle. Want to take a Vertical, 3X Mastershot of that church? Have at it. Oh 10 m/s Ascend and Descend is amazing, abd faster than Inspire 3. 😮
The Air 3 is a real homerun IMO. I "downgraded" from M2P to a Mini 3 Pro for a quieter, more portable drone and while it was really impressive (still is) it fell just short sometimes and struggles a lot in wind. I was on the fence for quite a while about the Mavic 3/3 Pro for the tele lens as ~70-90mm is my fav focal length so was very happy to see a midway drone released with the 3x lens. The 70mm is amazing. It feels almost like helicopter shots and really ups the production value. After 10+ years of the wide/~24mm we're used on drones it's so refreshing. 24mm has it's uses for sure but it's gotten a little stale for some things. The range & stability of connection and the actual platform itself is also very impressive. I was flying in 50+kmh winds, treetops swaying everywhere yet the drone & footage was calm as can be. Also funny to see the panic about the smaller sensor. It feels sensor size is the new megapixels where bigger is meant to be better but the stacked sensor really delivers.
Mate I love this drone I sold the mini 3 Pro then bought the 4 Pro decided I didn't want the 4 and got the air 3 I love it super stable in air and I belive the air 3 is fastest drone out at mo Just waiting on my filters
I have definitely become a DJI fanboi (and proud of it) ... I have the perfect set, I have an Air 3 and a Mini 4 pro... the tech is mind blowing... a great time to be getting into the hobby! These 2 drones have sort of killed everything before them... everything prior is sort of obsolete? I like your style of video... a new sub.
Nice job on this review Mike! Looks like you put the hours in on this video. Yeah, the new DJI 04 transmission system is awesome. DJI nails that and love that it keeps getting better. Glad to see they are consistently improving in that area as it just puts my mind at ease knowing I’ve got a great connection. Gets expensive losing drones. 😂😂😂 Great job on this one! Oh, and looks like some other sites are promoting your video as well (I’m sure your aware) . 👍👍
why....would you be losing drones with O2? O2 was perfectly fine yes the DJI RC has issues because no antenna but a RC N1 with mini 3 pro worked just fine
I just recently sold my mini 3 Pro and upgraded to air 3, it's really really good, just had one flight with it, the video quality and the ability to fly against the wind is obviously better
2 months is not “longterm”. Especially when you follow that statement with “it has gone by so fast”. The definition of “Longterm” is an elapse of a relatively long period of time. 6 months to a year after release is considered longterm to me. A lot can happen in that time including bug fixes and firmware updates that improve the performance of the drone. Nonetheless, thanks for your thoughts. Cheers
With the amount of flying I've done with the drone, it is pretty much longterm. I've been using it non-stop in all sorts of situations and conditions, something most people would take months to do. And like I mentioned - there literally aren't any serious bugs or problems on this drone since release. Which is why it made sense to made the video :)
@@DroneSupremacy It’s all good! Hope my comment wasn’t seen as offensive to you, just some constructive criticism. The DJI fly app logs how many Hours, Miles, and flights for the drone.Maybe on your next review you could include that flight time and then compare it to say someone who only flys there drone on the weekends. Thanks
Flipping hack mate you nearly had your fingers off lol putting that aside a great video and learnt a few things there and I've got the same drones as you PS I've still got my mini 2 and my air 2s keeping those two for back up

Bought the air 3 yesterday. Was happy with the air 2. But the new EU drone regulations made me buy a new drone with classifications. The air 3 is a lot bigger. That said I can’t complain about anything else. It’s all the drone you’ll ever need. Well done DJI.
99.9% of conned zoomers who buy the Air3 will never need or use all the features. I would say an upgrade from the Air2s is 4 hours flight time, 20 cameras, 100 sensors, unpack itself and bring you a cup of coffee every 30 mins.
Hmmm. NOT my choice of upgrade. Already own the Air2S. My view is around obstacle avoidance. If you base your opinion on cinematography only, then it is not an evaluation of claims made by DJI regarding ACCUTRAC. In short, there are many reviews internationally that suggest this capability is flawed. To suggest that accutrac is a combination of GPS and visual obstacle avoidance is, in my observation from other RUclips test, seriously flawed.
I’ll stick with my Mavic 3. There is always a better drone from DJI coming out, I love my drone’s abilities, larger sensor and cannot afford always buying the latest/greatest anyway
5:45 - Wow thats some amazing color and footage!

Nice one , me waiting for A3S soon. @@DroneSupremacy
Don't bother with the mavic classic, it only has 4x zoom and the air 3 has 9x zoom. The air 3 virtually has all the same features.

Does it makes a difference in Thailand if you fly a mini 3 or an air 3 in regulations?

I have the mini 4 pro for walkabouts and the air 3 for everything else. The air 3 does better in the wind once it's value for my work

Yeah consistency is a factor that is hard to neglect. Makes grading so much easier!
I hope it's faa compliant and would of love if the camera at 2.7k had a full screen and vertical like all the others also in 1080p
Is all the footage graded in this video?
can you recommend the best drone for zoom, to take perfect video or photos from about 150 or 200 meters away?

Agree. I was cross shopping the mini 3 pro and felt that the value with air 3 was much better.

Hi, thank you for this review video. IMO the DJI Air 3 is the best consumer grade drone ever made. It proves that sensor size doesn't matter.
Totally agree!
sensor size DOES matter but that processor is doing a lot of legwork- the default profile of the air2S wasn't great.

I agree, 2 months is hardly long term regardless of how much the drone was or wasn’t used.

the minis are now limited to 120m even over obstacles so they are kinda useless now. the air 3 is a better buy.
People who say they wish it had a 1inch sensor instead of a 3x are tech enthusiasts and not actual photographers/filmmakers
Great review. I share your views on Air 3. I stop paying to people who don’t have it and complain.

Max is 4k/100FPS, not 60, by the way, on both cameras, naturally.
