Thank you mate, the ornate wrasse in particular seem to dominate wherever I've fished abroad 😅 I was glad to be able to find some other species! All the best! 🎣
Great wee video there. Just back from there a week now, never took my LRF this time as spent too much time last year in Lanzarote on the rocks, I use a HTO rock rover for hols. There is a little tackle shop called Pesquera y Navales about 50 mins walk along the front road from Adeje in Los Christianos
Thank you! I'm usually limited to short sessions early in the morning but have loved my LRF trips abroad! I have the rock rover too but Abu Garcia Diplomat has been fantastic!
@@UKEDC thanks, I was fishing at the end of Playa De Fanabe, it was the only spot I could find that was really fishable 😅 this was back in May but hope to get back again!
@@rhyswilliams1413 thanks mate. The water was quite shallow there but I was twitching them close to where I thought the bottom was, they were in theory hitting on the drop though as bites were coming on the pause between twitches as the lure fluttered back down 👍🎣
Great content Rich. It’s good to have some commentary, you never used to speak on camera! Those puffers really destroy lures, don’t they? If only there was an online LRF tackle shop that you could replace these from…😂
Very enjoyable videos. Just looking at the ABU Garcia Diplomat V2 medium and heavy for UK river lure fishing. They come in a tube with shoulder strap and 4pc so nice and compact. £64.00. Would you say ABU travel rods are good value for money ? ATB MMMD
@@MudMaxMetalDetecting thank you! Sounds like a bargain, yes I'm really impressed with the Diplomat X that I have, great little LRF all rounder that hasn't let me down yet, definitely good value 👌
Thank you! I'm really impressed with the rod, it's a great all rounder. I've not managed to find out on the spec, but my feeling is that it's a tubular tipped rod as it feels right when working metals and hard lures, don't quote me on that though 😅
@@johntrout1957 yes there are some big predators to be caught around the Canary Islands. From my limited observations so far though, the guys using heavier gear tend to struggle whereas scaling down generally keeps the bites coming consistently 🎣
Great video. Love the puffer at 6:06. The cathegastar genus is one of my favorites. So many beautiful puffers out there.
@@TheFishingNomad thanks! I really enjoyed fishing for the puffers, incredibly frustrating at times but a fascinating fish and fun to catch 🙂
I was there 3 weeks ago too :) need to do my video ^^
@@Fishingchanneltv nice, look forward to seeing your video?
Brilliant to watch, well done mate. Amazing looking fish.
@@alanfielding3491 thanks Alan, much appreciated 🙂🎣
nice video friend, the greenfish and the lizards become annoying when you try to catch other species, you caught equally beautiful fish, a hug ✌️🎣😉

That little Puffer 🥹 well done mate great video 👏
Cute wasn't it! Cheers mate 🙂🎣
Great video and a successful session. 🎣👍
Thanks Steve! 👍🎣
I certainly wouldn't fancy skinny dipping there with the teeth those lizard fish have😂
Great little sesh Rich
Agreed, between them and the puffers, it's just not a risk worth taking 😂 thanks mate 👍🎣
Great content mate, Tenerife is a great place to fish. 👍
Thanks mate. Yeah I really enjoyed the fishing over there, always exciting fishing for different species to what I'm used to 👍🎣
Nice video we love fishing Tenerife. Whereabouts in CA are you? Been all over that area and don’t recognise it. Have a good holiday 😊

Great vid....

Thanks mate! 👍🎣
Cracking video.
Did you add your own rear assist hook to the Nano Aji metal?
@@rhyswilliams1413 thanks! Yes I can't remember which but I like to use either the Decoy mini assist hooks or the jigpara assists 🎣
@@DevonLerfer brilliant thanks. I thought you may have.
@@rhyswilliams1413 no worries mate 👍🎣
Great video and some cracking species.
Were you bouncing the Nano Aji jigs along the bottom or were the fish taking them on the drop?

Off to Fuerteventura next week so can’t wait to give it a go.
Thank you for the reply.

Is it the kamasan size 14 hooks you use?
@@jordandavis5354 I believe these were rock C hooks from Nine Seven Tungsten mate

Do you need a licence to fish the coast in Adeje going in December
@@gavinclarke575 yeah you'll need a Spanish fishing licence, can be done online though, lasts 3 years and pretty straightforward 🙂
What net do you have there??
@@CharlieCrowe-l9m hi, it's a spro freestyle head with a Daiwa iso handle
