SONY DTC-790 vs DTC-A8 w SBM - What's the difference?

This time I'll compare my freshly serviced SONY Digital Audio Tape Deck DTC-790 with a very similar semi professional model DTC-A6. Visually, they look alike, the only thing you'll notice looking at the front plate is, A8 comes with Super Beat Mapping SBM.
Also, there is a coaxial input and output at the back of the input, DTC-790 only had input, but both devices have optical input and output, so pretty much similar.
