- Exploring the amazing Cliffs of the Algarve!! In this video we visited 3 main cliff sites along the Algarve coast.
First the area around Benagil and one of the most famous, Marinha Beach and the double Natural Arch. Then we went to Lagos Lighthouse and walked the cliffs there. From Lagos we went all the way to the end of the road at Sagres at the furthest most south western point of Portugal and mainland Europe.
There are TON of other cliffs along the Algarve that we sadly we're not able to visit in this video. Honestly it would take years to explore them all. This area is so rich in coastal landscapes, it's amazing!! If you're travelling down here be sure to bring a camera because the photography opportunities are abundant.
Next up is a job filming here for a Kickstarter campaign and then the launch of the online course I've been working on the entire tim here in Portugal called 'Introduction to RUclips for Video Creators'

No it's just product placement. We're photographing a hero image to market the tent on the Kickstarter main page. Got a couple good ones this morning.
Great stuff Greg und Nellie. We spent sometime on the southern coast of Portugal (closer to Spanish border) during our little bicycle trip around the world before cycling north, but we never made all the way over to the Algarve Coast where the cliffs are. However, a couple months ago, we started looking at AirBnBs in that area and are considering a month long stay either at the end of this year or very beginning of 2020. We ended up cycling the length of Portugal to places like Beja, Evora, Tomar, Porto and crossing back into Spain at Tui. Oh the good times!! Cheers friends!! ~Ron

@@gregsnell yeah sorry about the double post, but I did delete (or so I thought I did anyways) the robenne post after I realized I was logged in with that account. I don't typically use that account for RUclips, but it is an old gmail account that goes back to when gmail was in Beta testing and you had to be invited into the club. ;-)

We visited Cape St Vincent while we were in the Algarve, a beautiful coastline from there all the way along to Vilamoura where we were staying, fantastic drone footage 👍🙂
Yeah our last spot in the video Cape St. Vincent is a pretty awesome location. The history alone, but the cliffs too really make it.

Nailed that b-roll again Greg and just know you will knock the assignment out the park. Seeing that sun set at the end is making me hope the next three weeks go quickly then its back to southern spain for a vacation. Looking forward to hearing more about your tutorial series soon

Such a great area eh!! I bet it hasn't changed too much since you were here. Still some great hidden beaches and lots of epic cliffs.
Great video as always Greg! I normally use a paddleboard to visit the caves around Benagil which gives you a different perspective of the coastline. It also allows me to visit the caves and the one in Benagil is quite a popular one to visit. If you have a chance, you can take a boat tour - not sure if they run around this time or just in the summer though. Have fun!
Man SUP would be Perfect along this coast. Especially on calm summer days. We're going to have to come back :)
Another well done video with great shots with the drone. I like you putting a little history of the places you go into your videos helps tie things together for people not familiar with the area. You and Nellie are so positive and work so well on camera with each other I believe you could make an entertaining and informative video at a garbage dump, but I'm glad you choose to show us really interesting places like these amazing cliffs.

Great video of my local areas. Looking forward to seeing the tents as I am a solo Adventure that's coved over 60.000km on my bicycle always sleeping wild in every country I cross.

@@gregsnell yes I have seen it. Look forward to seeing the specifications. It will be interesting how it handles real weather conditions as have connects with extreme expeditions where you'll equipment is the difference between life and death.
Cabo de Sao Vicente or Cape St Vincent in English was the scene of a famous naval battle in 1797 where the British fleet under Admiral Sir John Jervis (later Earl St Vincent) defeated a Spanish fleet under Admiral Don Jose de Cordoba y Ramos. The battle was notable in that it was the first time that Horatio Nelson distinguished himself as a commander when he was a commodore in command of a squadron under the overall command of Jervis. Not related to photography perhaps but interesting background nonetheless.

Epic drone footage! A practical question or two: are you actually allowed to camp in the areas you showed? If not, did you need official permission for the shoots?
Good question John. I'll look into it tomorrow. I think we're fine to take a few photos though. The location won't be mentioned as part of the Kickstarter campaign.

Flying without permits it's a crime, and you have broken at least 3 laws in Portugal...it's because guys like you that its becoming harder to fly drones in Portugal
