Yesterday, Ariel Barria requested a mashup of Try Everything and Payphone, which I thought is a fantastic idea that I didn't think about it. I added As Long As You Love Me to bring in some guitar to help Try Everything balance out with Payphone, and of course for the nostalgia too!
There was a challenge in making all 3 songs fit not just melodically, but also lyrically. ALAYLM is about loving someone no matter what, Payphone is about being left out of and unhappy with a relationship. Try Everything is about pushing through and looking upward after a downer. I hope the mashup ends up sound awesome to you as it does to me! Enjoy!

how do you make your mash-ups?

I find instrumentals and/or acapellas of the songs, match their tempos and keys, and find ways to put it all together :) I use the freeware Audacity to make my mashups
