22:40 it’s a turbine that the reactor steam spins to make electricity. 27:35 that’s the spent fuel pool, fuel bundles from the reactor sit in there. 33:16 those cylinders are where that same used fuel go after the fuel pool to stay forever and go through half life, the only waste reactors create. Your comment proves that it's a game that included real world accuracy but sadly, there really is no point in going here from a video game perspective. It's so shallow and it also goes to show how these early access games are inherently suffering from not only proper gameplay elements (because of course, early access) but actual gameplay design. What was the point of venturing into this area and wandering aimlessly? The best games out there do not do this at all and in fact, keep giving players incentives to keep exploring the game world by making it interesting and engaging and therefore convincing the player to keep playing.

I know this is a video game, but when you two were walking near the exposed core, I was screaming at my screen not to walk on the graphite that was littered on the ground. The black looking rocks that looked like were made with a hole. In the original disaster, those things came from the core and were extremely dangerous. Great video, such an awesome area!
"You look so handsome!!" I ADORE the bromance you two have. But I'm incredibly curious - has the Fisk seen the Fooster's real face? And that high note at 1:13:11 was impressive! 😃
I live in Sweden where some of the worst rains came down. I meet up with a guy a few years ago that was out playing and got the rain on hin and he have an unnormal amout of hair growing on his right arm and torso after he got that radioactive rain on him.
Once again I have to say: there are good level designers who put alot attention to the details in game worlds. But there are very few artists who make absolutely stunning level designs that are at the another level of existence! Even tho everything is dark and there are bit lacking amount of actual random objects around, the detail is still amazing in in that facility.
I'm from Belarus, next door to Chernobyl. My mom was a kid when it happened. My grandma was a volunteer nurse who was sent there to help. She doesn't talk much about the time but she remembers how much iodine they were taking in the camps and everyone was forbidden to walk on the ground due to radiation in the soil. She had to walk everywhere on the path made out of wooden pallets. Plus all of the shoes had to be disposed of at the end of each day. My family is one of the very rare ones that hasn't had a single case of cancer or thyroid disease. So many families in Belarus have at least one relative who was exposed to radiation in the past and developed cancer. Because our people were not warned about the dangers of Chernobyl soon enough back then. My family was outside on that day participating in a parade. Probably got a good dose of radiation.
The little touches like Fisk's suit getting more damaged is really cool. I love how this game does subtle realistic things like that. More than most AAA games, that's for sure.
Fooster, I highly recommend the Chernobyl episode of “River Monsters” with Jeremy Wade. He literally catches a Wells catfish in the cooling channel into Reactor #4.
I thought you might find it interesting that the disaster at Chernobyl was discovered/revealed when the workers at Forsmark Nuclear plant in Sweden got a radiation warning from their screening equipment when entering the plant. And they couldn't figure out why cause they hadn't even entered the plant yet. Turns out it was from the south eastern wind and rain that night so their boots had large amounts of radiation on them.
Man I'm glad I found your channel I've been trying to find a RUclipsr that just plays survival games for the longest time and I found you thank God I got something to burn my time when I have extra time
Watching you play Ancestor the Humamkind Odyssey, made me remember how much I loved that game. You need to play more of it, it gets so much deeper and learning how to walk just makes me love it that much more. Idk why lol. Keep up the great work.
Depleted uranium is used in large artillery shells and bullets because of the materials high density and penetrative power. Often used on tanks or anything heavily armored.
fun fact... Mk1 golf and Mk2. both came with single and double lights in the grill . aftermarket version either worked as driving lights or fighlights . like the SEV marchell kits for the Mk1 golf! with the funky Cat eye logo :P factory mostly high beams FYI
As someone who did a quick Google search, it definitely looks like a Mk2 Golf GTI. The regular Mk2 has one headlight on each side, from what I could see.
Realistically speaking… you two would have had to be on comms the entire time you were in those suits. Otherwise, you would have sounded incredibly muffled to each other. Also, nuclear fallout would have massive impacts on the weather for the local area. And depending on the size of the fallout, it could have varying effects globally. Great vid though… keep up the great work
"be careful" don't walk there I hear something like a cow" answer; "yeah I heard it like (makes *zombiecownoise*) and runs straight forward to where u told him not to go and be careful xD
Radiological worker here. I don't know how much the programmer/developer is going to adhere to real life physics, but there is a difference between radiation and radiocontamination. Radiation is the high energy particles that rip right through your hazmat suit and through your body. The hazmat suit doesn't stop it or protect you. Radiocontamination is radioactive particulates (like the smoke from the fire) or powders and dust that have become radioactive. If you get that on you or on items, usually it can be washed off like dirt. You don't want to eat anything that is contaminated, which would internalize it. Also, breathing radioactive contaminated air particulates would get it into your lungs (very bad). When the giger counter goes off, you need to leave that area ASAP. Slow clicking is ok, fast clicking is bad, and when the radiation is really bad, the giger counter will actually scream. If the giger counter is screaming, run. The items you see in the beginning looks like a turbine, which converts the nuclear fuel to electricity. The rods hanging down look like the nickle rods (neutron absorbers) used to slow and control the nuclear reaction. I'm not sure why you are looking for uranium, as it is deadly poisonous. I see you registers acute radiation poisoning, again, the hazmat suits don't stop the radiationa and protect you from when your giger is going nuts. And your friend asking if he can swim in there.....does he have a death wish? Did you see what happened to the operators at Chernobyl? One of them describes his flesh as feeling like it was hanging off his bones like a loose sock. You shouldn't eat or drink in a radioactive zone. If the food or water beings contaminated, you will internailze the radiation which doesn't leave your body. You just have to wait for it to decay slowly over time, as it sits there in your tissues constantly doing damage. OMG, you turned your giger counter off because you didn't like the noise? You're gonna die of acute radiation poisoning, again, the hazmat suit doesn't stop radiation.....only lead can stop that.....hence the lead plate you found. Without a giger counter you could turn a corner and be looking at an exposed core and not even know it. Your face will melt off a few weeks later. Most of the things you keep asking "what are these things," They are the turbines. Uranine bullets are used by the miitary because they are armor piercing. Unfortunately, the uranium bullets are also poisonous and contaminate the areas where they land.
Radiation does not cause rain, if a nuclear fallout is bad enough it can throw enough debris into the air to create clouds. But the reason rain after a nuclear event is so bad is because radiation can stick to moisture and stuff in the air and follow the air currents and rain down radiation if the nuclear even is close enough. We in the US were warned of this during the Japanese nuclear power plant event during that hurricane a while back. It washed up on our coast in small amounts.

I love the fact that the driver side rear armor is made from a sewer grate like seen in parking lots here in America. Makes perfect sense, think metal, gaps to shoot out of yet not big enough to get a hand/arm through… It would also be cool to see them put into a game the ability to harvest the mineral oil from power line transformers to refine and use as diesel fuel…
I haven’t played this game for a while. The new update is amazing. Makes me want to get back on it. I loved this game before but it’s just getting so much better.
Hi Fooster, maybe before going into the Nuclear Power Plant, you should make a "Squad" and invite him so that you can see your partner's name within the area. Just a suggestion. 😁
Yes, that´s a MK II but not because of the double headlights. VW produced also special editions of the MK1 with double headlights, where the smaller lights were foglamps. But the MK2 is rounded on the corners and the MK1 not.

Sometimes when i hit a puppet with melee weapon the swing goes right through the puppet does no damage at all, but then the puppet has a free hit on me.
They also can come through walls. That's especially risky if the explosion puppet comes through the wall right behind you.
Also when i hit a puppet with a bat or stab with a spear or what ever, it should move backwards because of the force behind the hit, or because of the force behind the stab.
BUT THE PUPPET actually moves towards me. It's like someone in their team doesn't know basic physics.
They need to fix their game.

but but but but it's early access.... yes i KNOW.
The problem is not that it is early access, the issue is that the developers are focusing their energy into wrong things. Instead to fix the game they keep pushing out new content with new bugs.
I mean basic melee combat sucks. Jumping is not realistic etc etc... those are all like basic things that need to be fixed.
The food and drinking is not properly balanced. characters get thirsty and hungry way too fast.
I would also argue that items decay too fast.
Gods you two, about give me a freaking heart attack jumping down the buildings and onto the rafters. Please keep it going. This was an amazing video as always you two. I'll be honest here? If the Apocalypse did happen in real life? I know who I'd be teaming up with because you both are natural born survivors.
31:54 these are CASTORs, transportation containers for radioactive material. So made sense if you found stuff in there
Thanks to this game, I discovered this channel and from there I watched every single video you uploaded. Thank you for the entertainment and keep it up 👏
Their game is so broken.
The combat physics is absolutely broken and absurd. Also the drinking and food requirements is absurd.
The game keeps asking way too often and way too much, almost constantly for water and that your character has to eat something.
Sorry but i thought this has to be as realistic as possible and i don't remember me eating IN REAL LIFE food all day or drinking water after every little thing i do.
They need to turn it down a lot.
BTW:
White larvas are BUGGEd right now. Even if you eat a 100% fresh white larva it sais " this tastes funny " as if it is close to being spoiled. And the problem is you can't eat another one, or you will vomit.

I know this is a video game, but when you two were walking near the exposed core, I was screaming at my screen not to walk on the graphite that was littered on the ground. The black looking rocks that looked like were made with a hole. In the original disaster, those things came from the core and were extremely dangerous. Great video, such an awesome area!
oh I just got to the part where you mention it. DON'T STEP ON IT!
"You look so handsome!!" I ADORE the bromance you two have. But I'm incredibly curious - has the Fisk seen the Fooster's real face? And that high note at 1:13:11 was impressive! 😃
52:50 "I wanna look down the hole" falls into nuclear reactor transforming him into some mutated beast
The hyper realism on the game is super cool. Those ejected casing impacts. OMGosh.
im enjoying every second of the video.. feels like watching a movie.. and it feels like 1hr is short for me.. need more of this
I live in Sweden where some of the worst rains came down. I meet up with a guy a few years ago that was out playing and got the rain on hin and he have an unnormal amout of hair growing on his right arm and torso after he got that radioactive rain on him.
I love the dynamic between both of you. Fooster & Fisk, you should play “It takes two”
It would honestly be so fun, to play and to watch.
Yes! Once I saw the update, I was hoping you guys would play it again!
IN Serbia,we have a joke about Golf Mk.II ...thich part of Golf dies first ? Driver xD
I am so glad to see you again in this series ,Fisk as well ☺
Definitely wanna see the building and gardening stuff!! :)
The little touches like Fisk's suit getting more damaged is really cool. I love how this game does subtle realistic things like that. More than most AAA games, that's for sure.
Just broke my leg and just binging Fooster’s videos. Man this is a blessing. Very happy I came across you and your community
Fun fact: The most radioactive place in Prypiat is the cellar where they disposed of the firefighter's uniforms after the accident
Fooster, man, this is what I've been waiting for! Fantastic ! Coffee ready, water ready, let's go!
Fooster, I highly recommend the Chernobyl episode of “River Monsters” with Jeremy Wade. He literally catches a Wells catfish in the cooling channel into Reactor #4.
I love they are still updating this game. we need more games like these.
Great transition from the game trailer...to two guys peeing at a bush. 🤣
And a fat dump
I thought you might find it interesting that the disaster at Chernobyl was discovered/revealed when the workers at Forsmark Nuclear plant in Sweden got a radiation warning from their screening equipment when entering the plant. And they couldn't figure out why cause they hadn't even entered the plant yet. Turns out it was from the south eastern wind and rain that night so their boots had large amounts of radiation on them.
Man I'm glad I found your channel I've been trying to find a RUclipsr that just plays survival games for the longest time and I found you thank God I got something to burn my time when I have extra time
Yes been waiting for your upload!!! Beyond excited to watch!!! Always enjoyed watching your videos!!!
Finally! I been waiting for too long for this moment! You guys are fantastic!
bot
Watching you play Ancestor the Humamkind Odyssey, made me remember how much I loved that game. You need to play more of it, it gets so much deeper and learning how to walk just makes me love it that much more. Idk why lol. Keep up the great work.
Haha, IMMEDIANTLY Fooster jumps Fisk about something. Timberlands lmfao. Please keep it up guys, you never dissapoint
Awesome episode! Can't wait see you guys go back in there !
Depleted uranium is used in large artillery shells and bullets because of the materials high density and penetrative power. Often used on tanks or anything heavily armored.
The sounds of the empty shells hitting the ice bridge are so well done!
fun fact... Mk1 golf and Mk2. both came with single and double lights in the grill . aftermarket version either worked as driving lights or fighlights . like the SEV marchell kits for the Mk1 golf! with the funky Cat eye logo :P factory mostly high beams FYI
Those were control rods.
The opposite of radio active rods.
They stop the reaction
As someone who did a quick Google search, it definitely looks like a Mk2 Golf GTI. The regular Mk2 has one headlight on each side, from what I could see.
I just wanted to make the same comment. I owned a red Golf Mk2, version "Sprinter" with only one headlight on each side.
love how you guys are just casually parkouring around the Nuclear graphite on the roof
The first person view in the hazmat suit in that fog. Oof goosebumps I tell ya
If this had been done almost exclusively in first-person, I think it would have been an absolute thriller masterpiece. Great nonetheless!
Oh the hum of the ambiance is so eerie and soothing 👌also i keep getting impressed with how well you work together and the use of clear and to the point fps military lingo to constantly update each other on the surroundings and whatever action you plan to take! 🤣You both also take the time to appriciate and soak up the atmoshpere! So satisfying after seeing so many letsplayers constantly bicker, loose each other and run into enemies that couldve been easily taken care of!
I'm so glad for an hour+ long video. They are my favorite
yes you listened to my comments over the last three weeks
Wish there were weekly vids from the game until the entire map has been searched
Fooster + fisk + stoned + pringles = almost perfect 👏👌😋
I played a game with a friend where it would've been great if he understood teamwork. The prizes were designed for each character only, but he was greedy. He was there, but no help as a team player like you two. I never got to play a game with a team mate. That would be awesome. As always, all the best to everyone. Chef Scott 👨🍳
So happy this is finally here!!!
It's like u both r really there when playing this. I was born the year of chernobyl, thankfully have normal number of arms. Thanks for sharing ur adventures
i wish these two would go back and play more of this.
I love the fact that the driver side rear armor is made from a sewer grate like seen in parking lots here in America. Makes perfect sense, think metal, gaps to shoot out of yet not big enough to get a hand/arm through…
It would also be cool to see them put into a game the ability to harvest the mineral oil from power line transformers to refine and use as diesel fuel…
Wowzers that place is huge! Thanks for the tour
When will the next mist video be? I have been loving the mist survival series
It sounded like when they were shooting on the walk way you could hear the brass bouncing off the cat walk. Cool detail.
Your interactions between eachother is amazing 🤣
I’m so glad you decided to do this again!!
So glad to see the return of Eli and Sally
Fallout occurs from any dust from the accident. So yes, it can be moved in the weather
I haven’t played this game for a while. The new update is amazing. Makes me want to get back on it. I loved this game before but it’s just getting so much better.
love the counter sound change when you get into a building so nice. so ready to get back in to SCUM....
Hi Fooster, maybe before going into the Nuclear Power Plant, you should make a "Squad" and invite him so that you can see your partner's name within the area. Just a suggestion. 😁
That’s a TAS ( Tvornica Automobila Sarajevo) made Golf . Made in Yugoslavia , Bosnia.
As someone who recently was certified in nuclear hazmat training, hearing that Geiger counter scream is so unsettling...
And then you decide to lie down!!!
Fooster makes me feel like I’m watching Frankie play DayZ again
the fact that's 1hr15mins and still watch it till the end make this piece
great content good job
It's so satisfying to see you both playing this game
love this guys missed you doing the scum series to remove radiation im guessing its water like irl but i havnt been on 0.8 yet
so no idea
Those "Rods" are call Fuel Assemblies and the pool would be the spent fuel pool where the spent fuel assemblies are stored. Just an FYI. 😊
Ty 😊 👍
I finished my basic training and now in AIT and I'm happy with how much stuff I can watch now.
FINALLY!!!! I LOVE THIS SERIES!THANKS FOR UPLOADING FOOSTER!LOVE YOU MAN!
Loved watching this. You guys always make a great duo.
LET'S GOOOO SCUUUM
The fact that dayz has been out longer then this game is and still hasn't had any decent updates is mind blowing to me!
I'm dying to see Sally taking some of the shooms
loved it! looking forward to the future
that damn walk you kept doing had ZERO business being as damn funny as it was 😂😂
Yes, that´s a MK II but not because of the double headlights. VW produced also special editions of the MK1 with double headlights, where the smaller lights were foglamps. But the MK2 is rounded on the corners and the MK1 not.
