Just watching the 2023 Women's Paris Roubaix, more specifically Elisa Longo Borghini's fish tail crash. If you have watched it or not it's worth watching again a few times. It's amazing how the rear wheel kicks out one way, the other, and then kicks back again with a crash... For me there is something very peculiar in the manner in which she crashes, really really weird. It reminds me of Lizzie Diegnan's near crash on her way to destroying the same race. Weird how these small riders seem to put out so much power that causes their bikes to fish tail all over the place.
I really don't mind the paint job, it's the cost of the slr that's the problem, so it will be a domane sl with 2 wheelsets, a carbon with 30c tyre and alloy with 40c( they say only 38) tyre..
@@kidsafe I just ordered this frame , have you experimented with tire size . Trek says 35mm max but they also say 38mm max for the SLR and there is many examples of people running 40mm tires with no issues .
@@slayermtb_7848 I’ve put 35mm tires on my Madone lol (not recommended.) on my Domane RSL I have measured 31mm tires mounted currently. The tightest fit is the rear DS chainstay where there is roughly 8mm of clearance. So a 40mm tire would have about 3mm of clearance.
Top job, as usual Shoddy!!
Thank you! Cheers! - Dave
Beautiful bike and !X! I like the sound of a front derailleur as it hits the bottom of a trash can....
I just ordered this frame with last years colors . I have to admit , I like this color better
I'm not sure if they'll make it available - Dave
Nice. Thanks
No front iso speed on the gen 4. Lovely bike though
Iso speed is nice but it adds more potential points of failure. You can use wider tyres instead.

My next bike, hopefully
In that color? - Dave

The 37v is a “gravel” wheel
I think it's a RSL not a SLR?
It’s an RSL frame, but interestingly enough this particular bike has the SLR fork with a visible fender mount. My RSL fork doesn’t have those.
Thanks, remembering all the stuff on the fly and only having the bike for 15mins is a recipe for getting stuff wrong. - dave

@@kidsafe good info! I appreciate the answer 🍻
Well it’s a lot brighter than her personality
Hahaha = Adve
The perfect bike for cobbles, and the awful potholed/ pitted surfaces of the UK's roads.
I was amazed at the state of the roads when I went home for a visit recently, pretty shocking. - Dave
Thought you’d moved to escape collective
Round seat post,no aero post.
The Domane seatpost is D-shaped, not round.
Not round
