I went here with a dear friends over twenty years ago when we were both fit and healthy. Alas the years have taken their toll, as has some very powerful chemotherapy and although now in remission from Leukaemia, I am now reliant on a power buggy for all but the shortest of walks. My little buggy would never be able to get back up such a huge hill…..so I know I will never be able to visit this lovely scenic place again. So thank you so much for taking me there today! Lovely to see it all again, be it via the camera lens and not in person.
Robin Hood's Bay is clearly a magical place. Been lucky to visit it, and been even more lucky it was snowing all week, thanks to which except me and my friends there were only a handful of other tourists
Thanks for showing me around Robin Hood Bay and it is very nice and beautiful place to go and see and walk round and visit and stay in the hotel and restaurant and nice walk along the beach and shops and very picturesque area Thanks Neil and all the walk back up the steps
If you go down the side of Dolly's Sweet Shop, there is a lovely Fish and Chip shop, used to be called Mariondales i think, always busy but worth the wait... PS, i think the woman in the white tshirt was following you 🤣🤣🤣
It’s just over an hours drive for me, also like Staithes just further up the coast where the fresh crab sandwiches in the Crab and Lobster pub are delight. Keep up the good work.
Hello, my wife and I came across your channel a few months ago and we've thoroughly enjoyed your films, we've particularly been watching the ones around the Robin Hoods Bay area, as on September 9th we're heading to Robin Hoods Bay for a weeks holiday, we're so looking forward to it as it looks stunning, keep up the great work and thank you, all the best Steve and Jackie.
Oh I love that area, I love to visit Ravenscar the town that never was (it’s the headlamp that you see looking south towards Scarborough from Robinhoods Bay.
I have a good friend who lives on the Pacific coast of Canada near me outside of Vancouver and who also owns a home in Whitby as well. He talked about Robin Hoods Bay and how iconic this place is as a seaside English Yorkshire town. Your vid made it real for me.
Thank you very much for this lovely video. That's a heck of a climb back out though! Lovely to see how England has enforced keeping it s heritage. Quick question.....may I borrow England's "keeper of the hedges"????
Thanks Neil this was Brilliant, really loved it, I've heard of Robins Hood Bay but never been, but its now on my list of places to visit thanks to you, a quick question if anyone knows, that Ice Cream Van at 31 minutes, how does it get off that beach? it looks impossible, thanks again, Robin Hood 1144.
i have been to Robin Hoods Bay its also where the bus many years ago got stuck on the corner it war its cluch out trying to get back up got atractor to pull it out backwards. Its a loverly place to visit.
Hello Neil how are you love your vidio of robins hood bay very interested and looks like a breatful place i have never been we are going to York next month at the end of September are you going to the Blackpool iumations switch on on Friday night best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😅
ha ha don't know but after I'd filmed this I stood and had a look at the beach and the tide was coming right in too! Looked like he was going to float away!
If Ralph Fiennes is one of your favourite actors you are not very good at recognising him as Phantom Thread starred Daniel Day Lewis in his last movie before his early retirement

Great Vlog
Thank you!!
Excellent video as usual, 👏🏼 but it's Daniel Day Lewis not Ralph Fiennes in Phantom Thread sorry!
Ahhhh yes it is!
My error
Was there 2 weeks ago. 😊
We loved this video but please can you find out how on earth the ice cream van got to the beach. We would be intrigued to know.
Ha ha you and me both!
Next time I’m there I’m going to ask him!
Went here earlier this year, with my parents, sister , brother in law and niece, you need a full day to explore the shops and the beach
Agreed!
How did that ice cream van get down there.
ha ha don't know but after I'd filmed this I stood and had a look at the beach and the tide was coming right in too!
Looked like he was going to float away!
@@GimbalWalkTV Lmao
Along the beach at low tide.
How does that ice cream van that's on the beach get back into the roads

ha ha yes - my error - I was tired when I was doing the captions after all the walking up the hill at Robin Hoods Bay!
Looks lovely but too steep for me tried a couple of years ago but didnt get far
I always dread the walk back up 🤣
Where are the white trainers? retired?
