We are back with another spring walleye fishing video! In this video we are fishing a new lake. Fishing a new lake can be one of the more challenging tasks when trying to catch walleyes. In this video I talk all about the process I go through when I comes to catching walleyes on new lakes. I end of finding a ton of walleyes on a very windy day. I catch all of them casting a Kalins Underspin Jig and tickle tail swimsuit. Thanks for watching

Just a note to say thanks for the production quality of the video. When you combine the map overlay with the side imaging over the video it really makes an impactful presentation. Yes I like to see you catching fish, but I really appreciate the “how” side of things instead of the “watch me reel em all in” that many other content providers utilize. I know it’s a lot more work, but for me it’s the reason I subscribe and pay attention to the products you promote .
Appreciate it. We try to put as much info as possible into our content
Could not agree more. Spot On. Hate to say but I am very much a "monkey see monkey do" fisherman
Mitch's editing raises the production value. Love it.
Glad to see you make the long trek out here. Welcome to the land of walleye's and wind!!
The audio is great, especially with those conditions. The mike upgrade definitely paid off. Thanks!
That wind was insane
As a small detail nerd…the SI and boat control details are priceless. Thank you for sharing!!
I’ve never heard of someone netting two walleyes with the one not even being hooked. That was crazy!! But like always, great content Tom! Always enjoy it! 👍🏼
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching 👍
Kristopher checking in. Thanks for breaking down techniques and how to dissect a new lake. Much more interesting than just watching you catch fish on Leech. ;)
It’s great to see both sides of the video the great quality and the everyday grind. Most people don’t have super nice stuff and if they see you doing it on your own that inspires them to keep grinding 👊🏽👊🏽
Appreciate it. It's always a grind... Sometimes it just looks fancy
Just found you on the Tube and I am very impressed. Joined WalleyeNow yearly sub and I promise I'll be asking questions. Keep up the great work and always nice to see someone enjoy what they do. Also very nice to see someone share their tips and techniques for rookie's like myself. Just bought a brand new Lund 1775 Adventure (fits in the garage) and look forward to learning as much as I can from you. MN fishing near Elk River but not afraid to travel. Appreciate the podcasts as well! Thanks again!
Appreciate you tuning in! Ask questions away! I also try to film content on topics you guys want to see!
just bought a garmin 73sv to try to do some of this (my first fish finder!) thanks for your devotion to passing along walleye fishing knowledge!
Thanks for watching and good luck fishing!
Just casually netting two at the end is a BOSS move. Awesome video!
Sweet vid Tom!! Poor Mitch probably regrets breaking your Rod😂😅 Excellent info💪🎣
I love the solo videos. Wider view is great.
Solo fishing at its best,Thanks and keep em coming
As always, an excellent video! Could you detail how to launch your boat going solo. Would like to minimize time at a busy landing
Really liked seeing the live side imaging shots vs just still images. Also would love to see tips & process when dealing with conditions like these at remote boat ramps, especially all by your lonesome.
Kinda cool you still toss the Tickle Tail & Jerk minnow.
Still a few of my favorites
What a 'warrior' in dem conditions. And thems are good mic's.
Thanks for the side imaging stuff again took me years to afford one then out comes ffs im still learning this gee really appreciate the videos
Appreciate you watching. Side imaging is still irreplaceable
beautiful double catch! excited for opener in a couple weeks here in MN.
Me and you both brother. See u on the water!
Getting me absolutely fired up for the Canadian season! Thanks for the great content. Just bought forward imaging unit. Can you do some more great content on that please
Lots of forward facing content coming. Good luck on the water this season!
Nice job TB, sans Mitch! Excellent content!
Very good stuff I’m a hardcore fisherman and I love your videos very impressed and very good information and very entertaining 🤘🥰
As you found out in editing, the audio is perfect.
1 week away for the Wisconsin opener 🎣 ....best time of the year and it just gets better from here on out 🐟 .....mid summer I shift back to panfish for perch and blue gills ....to each his own ....last august was finding 10" perch in 2 ft of water in the shoreline wood 😋
Good luck fishing!
@@TomBoley thanks , I'm Old School and I fish for food ....and I'll never apologize for that 🤔🎣🌲
No Mitchell!!!... I'm guessing you suspended him with no pay for the rod breakage😢😅
Tom doesn't have breakage, neither does Tuco
Minor 2 day suspension haha. And he has to do my laundry when I get home
@@TomBoley lol
So glad your video stays level or I'd have been ill.
Yeah... Thankful for auto stabilization
I actually prefer your "all by yourself" videos. It feels more like the situations I'm encountering when I'm out fishing.
Somewhere Mitch is wiping down a tear lol
Great video....luv the side imaging content...🤙
We are digging the new screen recording feature
Great video Tom,love see you fishing new lakes, pymatuning awaits you Tom in Ohio next Pennsylvania line
Thanks for watching! I know gotta get out East one of these days
Sure color matters but what are hair jigs supposed to be imitating. Can you do an episode on food, baitfish and or leaches whatever walleye target throughout the year. Maybe mayflies their season
There are no words to describe truck stop camping! That phrase stands alone..
A guy gets to see some interesting stuff at 2 am at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere
Thanks for leaving Mitchell at home !!!
Thanks Tom! Just getting the boat ready and reviewing lake breakdowns on the app. How about a pre-opener Podcast?
It's coming in the next couple days
Excellent! Looking forward to this.
Great video. I use the walleye now app and love the intel.
Appreciate it. Lots of new content going up this week!
Awesome job Tom. Your solo missions feel more personable.
At some point this week, can you do a short “Tom Talks” or podcast on the App, covering your strategy and opinion on the rainy cold front we’re going encounter in WI for our opener. What guys (that don’t live in WI) can do if they too will be facing a cold front.
We all appreciate you bud🇺🇸
We are gonna do a podcast this week on it
@@TomBoley That’s what I’m talking about! Covering what you’re going to be doing at midnight until daylight and then what follows after light would be sweet. Not sure if a casting or trolling application will be better but I’m planning on a troll to locate fish and if no action, pitch some jigs to marked fish in hopes for a different trigger.
@@TomBoley even a RUclips live Q&A would be awesome.
Tight lines!!!
Good job amigo
Another great video!
Thanks for watching it! 👍
Tom my name is Craig Moore I'm from ShumwayIL What type and size of braided line do you use? And what type of leader line do you use? I'm just starting to walleye fish and your videos have helped me a lot keep up the good work.
😮
Like all ur vids. With or w/o Mitch.
Appreciate you watching!
Thank you
Awesome video, keep them coming. Pretty sure that walleye milked on your camera lmao #mitchless #subparvideoquality
The boat carpet was a mess after this trip
Sound was real good given conditions...wouldn't shy away from bringing adverse weather content our way.
Had to do a lot of sound tweaking post production... Glad it turned out ok
Love your videos
Thanks for watching!
nice work
Great job
Thanks for watching
Now that's a double !
Sweet talked him right into the net!
Any bayfield videos coming?
How do you depict walleyes from rough fish? Are walleyes generally more sparse where rough fish are more stacked in with eachother?
The marks will look different. Walleyes will generally relate to some kind of edge more often than not .
😂 2 for 1. That's a pro move if there ever was one!
Better to be lucky than good
Your 35 plus is mild. I'd say you in 12 to 16 mph winds. bring that boat to Wy. and we shall show you 35 mph winds. with 40 to 50 gust. This produces4 to 6 foot swells less than ten foot apart. Guess what happens next.
Tom, were you using the 1/8 or 1/4 underspin?
Awesome
Thanks for watching
Hey Tom where's Shelby? By the way Tom stay with this music best by far!
She makes an appearance in upcoming video
Can you do a new lake with no technology? That’s where I’m at in life. Lake Pend Oreille (lake Ponderay) sandpoint Idaho.
So no motorized vehicle, boat, reels, cameras, good weather proof bibs/jacket, microphone, polarized sunglasses? Shut up.
Nice
Even when you say “there’s a fish” and zoom in on it… I still can’t see it. Lol Just got side imaging this year. How do you distinguish the fish from rocks?
sometimes you may see a shadow or others you may see marks that are around structure or weeds that seem to be in the right place
What are the mega live pole holders/brackets?
TKI CNC Mega Live Pole.
I linked it in this video
Where are you fishing?
When you said "windiest place on earth" from that parking lot I knew exactly where you where.
It can only mean 1 thing... South dakota
@@TomBoley Girlfriend has a house 10 minutes from that boat ramp. Thank you for the hard work you and Mitch put into the content!
I was thinking Wyoming.
Man I've been out 3 times this year 0 fish 0 bites seems like I can never get a walleye till the water temp is 50+ I wish I knew why?
Maybe try shallower.
What speed were you side scanning?
3mph
What camera stabilizer gimbal do you use for your boat?
This was from a GoPro. They auto stabilize
@@TomBoley sweet, thank you! Great work🙌
Can you link your audio set up for us?
Sony uwpd 27 Mics and transmitter
@TomBoley Thanks! Everyone here will see it too!
not sure how your rules allow you to fish during the spawn,
No season closure in the state this was filmed
" your rules " ? What exactly does that mean darcy?
why not try finding fish without livescope
Didn't use it in this video. As you can see all my casts are backwards..... Fishing with side imaging... 20 year old technology
What lake?
I bet you couldn't handle Lake Sakawea it's too big for you.
Love sakakawea... I generally film out there a few times a year. Always a ridiculous amount of fun
@TomBoley Tom, your content is the best and my favorite on RUclips! keep it up and let me know when you're ready to sell that warrior.
No life Vest while under Power ? ...
With a broken rod guess that will guarantee mitch wont out fish you !
Had to handicap him
Greatly prefer videos with just you, or you and Shelby. Any video where you say "Mitchell" 17 times is a video I will not watch. Quality video editing includes ZERO reference to the camera man. Plus, those videos feel "produced"...your better videos (older ones) felt like you were just taking us along fishing with you, and that was far better content. You're becoming a victim of your success and losing sight of the reasons people started watching your videos in the first place.
I just ordered the 7'1" medium extra fast with the performance handle, I'm jacked to get it rigged up and put it to use! Which stick were you using in this video? Sorry if you said.
Come try Bull Shoals lake.
It's a tuff clear lake to get good eyes on a regular basis.
Come on down to Diamond City Ar.🎣
I've been wanting to try bull shoals for awhile now
I sent mitch email for code and never heard back?
Please send again. May have just been a technical error.
