I got the Tipi 4 as a 1 -2 person set up for hiking, hunting and just regular old camping. Best thing I have ever purchased in my life. I am officially a Nortent Fan boy . Their new fast fold titanium stove looks incredible , so many glass panels and still so light I cant wait.
@@livingsurvival I am from saginaw MI, went to rifle river recreation area, got to see one in person, unbelievable. Mine will be done at the end of February. Ordered snow peak stakes. When delivered 6 day camping trip. Love you channel.
Thank you for your interesting, informative and entertaining review of this superb hot tent that I only discovered 20 minutes ago! Whilst looking at the Nortent Tipis, I saw this and was immediately quite taken with it, especially with the inner tent and stove. I'm not bothered too much about weight as I will be travelling on a Brompton bicycle and will in any case be carrying my Alpacka Raft Packraft. In essence, I want a Hilleberg Tent that I can stand up in, but as that doesn't exist I have to look at what does, and this ticks all the boxes as I could almost stand up in it (I'm 5' 11" tall). This tent (with the inner tent) and a Seek Outside titanium stove would be a very good base to rest up in, irrespective of what the weather gets up to! It reminds me of that bomb proof Russian winter tent that is unfortunately too big to carry on a small bicycle.
If you had no plans to ever use a stove would you still buy this? I love the free standing dome tents!! And the Hilleberg Staika is much smaller. Matter of fact I'd probably go with the Gamme 6 if I get a Gamme
Nice review..Quality product, like the 6 for more room. Have other 4 person tents. I'm in SE Michigan near Waterford. Sounds like you're in Michigan too?
I seen other folks giving review on these tents... They said if going to use in rain that owner must seal all seams...is this true... if so ..tent is not of quality
Is this tent still 4 season if you didn't have a wood stove? Like without a stove would it be on par for warmth with the Hilleberg Keron 4GT? Those are the two tents that I am looking at and I'm trying to understand if a wood stove in a hot tent is merely optional (meaning will it be as warm as a Hilleberg Black Label tent without a stove)?
These are pretty cool as a freestanding hot tent, might be the only one?? LoVe my winnerwell nomad that stove kicks ass I got an all night burn on Christmas eve ;)
Don't really think is good in the summer day cause there's only one door opening in the front so it should have at least two window open options left and right for air flow if not you'll definitely get very hot in summer day!
Erich Diehl same with seek outside tipis, they are not quite as tough especially in the snow. The poles here are a lot of the weight. Most won’t backpack with a hot tent due to the stove so if you have a sled, bike, atv etc weight becomes less of an issue.
@@livingsurvival Backpacking with a collapsible titanium stove isn't difficult as it typically weighs in at just about 2 pounds. You can carry a 4 or 5 pound tipi in or strapped to a pack. I've done it a lot. You're right about having a means of conveyance for carrying heavy weight in the winter but to use a pulk sled you need snow, which I haven't seen in any significant amount in central Pennsylvania this winter. That stinks too because last July I purchased a pulk sled and a pair of snowshoes for winter hiking. So far it's been a waste
@@livingsurvival Except when trying to control condensation, wanting to protect expensive gear from snow, dirt, sand, water, etc. But hey, this is a "review" of a single walled tent meant to be used in winter.

Of all the hot tent setups I’ve seen, this is easily my new favorite. Thanks!
You introduced me to Nortent and now I must have one
I would like to see a comparison video between this tent and a Pomoly hot tent. Keep up the good work! I appreciate the reviews
just going to start hot camping with the dog, ordered a snow trekker base camp, but this tent still looks amazing.

just got the gamme8. pretty cool.
Enjoy.
Thanks for the review! This looks like a wonderful 4-weather tent.
It is. And no stakes since it’s freestanding in winter
Looks like a great tent
? Do u have to use the red poles or is that just to handle snow load. I do like this tent it really is an almost prefect compromise nice
Your reviews are awesome, thanks!
Where did you find snow? We haven't had any snow all year other than just after Thanksgiving and three weeks ago....
I’ve been testing it for months.
@@livingsurvival still.. we haven't had but two snow falls all winter in Michigan.

Waterford.
how does the inner tent do when the stove is going. Could it melt. burn, go up in flames

Yeah definitely awesome. Winnerwell makes great stuff.
Where do i buy one?
Bens backwoods has them in Michigan.
@@livingsurvival I looked there, they have the 6 listed, not the 4 and the 6 is not available either. did the company go out of business?
is their a groundsheet for this tent,???
Yes
Can I get one sent to Canada?
I’m sure you can.
Cool but why the f is it 850Usd ???
Did you have to seam seal this tent yourself ? They recommend it on their website.
Yes they ship seam sealer with it. Need to do it in the warmer months though.
Tried helsport tents? The himalaya pro 2 looks good
Bad ass bro
Tent is very expensive and i couldnt effort to buy those stuffs.

It has two doors and 4 vents up top and 2 on the bottoms..
@@HappyHounds how come I don't see a big footprint for summer day we don't need that stove in the tent
I'd go bike touring with this if I was biking in Antarctica.
Lauren Henley perfect for that.

Berapa harga tenda isi 2 nya bos??,,salam dari indonesia,,
The clips holding the poles they are going to break.

After freezing my bum off a few weeks back, this would have been great if only I had known.
So roughly how much does it cost?
its only a copy and paste to google away
Thanks Andrew
For both the outside and inner tent, looking around at over $1300. not including the stove.
For both the outside and inner tent, looking around at over $1300. not including the stove.
That in the range of Hilleberg Tents, but this one is 5 feet high so it's almost possible to stand up inside for many people.
12 pounds for a four person FLOORLESS tent?? That's HEAVY. I've got a 4 percent Kifaru floorless tipi that weighs 4.8 pounds

Erich Diehl I know I haven’t even been able to fish this winter.
👌👌👌
It should have built in bathtub floor at the price they charge
Why? No floor needed in Winter.
Would help to note; the tent is not seam sealed or taped.
Most aren’t. But they send you seam seal with it.
I like it but I am going to be traveling by my self in my motorcycle
I aim to be carrying this tent on a Brompton folding bicycle with all of my camping gear and a Packraft so you should be fine on a motorcycle!
Bummer it’s sold out!!!
Joseph Tremblay check with Ben’s Backwoods here in Michigan. Google it.

No floor = fail
Except there is one
No floor? Worthless!!!
Never need a floor in Winter.
There is an optional floor available, that's the best of both worlds, depending on the weather and one's preference.
