- One beautiful night on the Island of Sodor, the engines make their wishes heard, except for Percy. Will we find out what the little engine wants?
This idea came about during production of "YTP: Hank's Got It Mailed" while listening to the beautiful soundtrack of George Fenton.
Instead of creating humour, chaos and destruction, we thought we'd try our hand at something calm and emotional for once. This is almost like a "Tone Poem." By letting the music carry the arc of the story through conveying emotions.
This is mainly an experimental video in many ways but also technically. As we have just bought an Add-on that enables us to work with 3D models directly in the editor. This is our testing ground to see how we can make them work.
We hope you enjoyed this video as much as we did making it.

I think this is the best YTP you've done in my opinion, like it's such a beautiful little funny scene. I love how you specifically used certain scenes from episodes to make it look so fluent in the animation, and the animation in the theatre is amazing! It's just so relatable that you've got to keep your chin up and put your mind to it to follow your dream. Thanks HourofPoop, for giving this beautiful message to us, especially to people who need it in the world.

This was a really sweet and surprisingly touching YTP, I really felt and empathized with Percy's dream, it was very beautifully animated and scored, I hope that he gets to live his dream in reality, with all his friends attending and happily watching.

I was expecting something hilarious like Percy's dream being something vulgar or the star crashing into the shed. Instead I got Percy dreaming of spinning on stage in front of thousands of people.

Not gonna lie this made me tear up when Percy was like 'One day' because I wanna meet some of my idols who have sadly passed away, gotta use the WABAC Machine to get to them ;)
It's nice hearing the engines voiced by both Ringo Starr and Michael Angelis: the two most well-known narrators of the show.

That was very fantastic. Kind of odd that you had two narrators in this, though. Maybe if you did the US dub, it would just be one narrator since George Carlin narrated the first four seasons.

also, i love how James wishes he could be the next bond and Thomas still has an obsession of eating fish. (Which is ironic. because Thomas hates fish in Season 6-8. He didn't mind fish in Season 1-5. but, he seems to no longer be bothered with smelly fish. So, i guess Thomas doesn't hate pulling fish trucks anymore)
