There are a lot of printable products out on the market and lots of different uses for these products. I wanted to talk with you about the difference between printable sticker paper and printable vinyl for use with print then cut on your cricut machine. I used Neato labels which are of of my favorite companies for printable products! They are made in the USA and have great quality and prices! You can buy Neato labels here shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=177930...

Corinne, I love all of your tutorials. You explain things so well and always link other videos that show us how to do other steps discussed in the video. Keep up the good work 😊
I very rarely subscribe to anyone, nonetheless comment, but I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for teaching me things within design space that I did not know and needed to know! I clicked on this video just to figure out if I needed to seal P/C printable vinyl. I ended up learning some very important basics that I have not been doing lol. You are AMAZING for explaining each step you took. I look forward to more content from you and PLEASE, keep doing exactly what you did here, on all your tutorials! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥️
Can’t tell you how many of these videos I’ve watched before finding you. Brand new to all of this madness, but after about 2 weeks, threw in the towel & bought Cameo 4. Happy with it, but bugged me not using my new Cricut Maker, so returned to master it. I’m not good with being conquered. Glad I found your video. Have subscribed. Thank you for breaking it all down, even stating what setting you used (medium card stock) for those of us who have NEVER done ANYTHING like this before. Seriously-thank you!!
You rock, Corinne! Your videos are always so informative and clear.
With SO many options, I’m always wondering which product to use: full sheet of white sticker paper, clear paper, vinyl, etc. I appreciate your visual comparison, thank you. I need a Print then Cut about 160 “stickers” to use as seals for wedding invitations (if I can ever get my Cricut to calibrate 🙇🏻♀️). We had planned to use clear stickers on a copper colored envelope. After watching your demo, I now know we’d loose all the detail of the beautiful artwork. Thanks for the help, advice, and saving me time and $$
This was exactly what I needed to see at this time. Thank you. And I did use your link and order. By they way there is a 50% sale on at Neato right now, how lucky!
Super helpful! It was very nice to see the clear difference when used. Thank you!
Corrine you do a great service for those of us wondering which product will work with our craft. Thank you again for a great informative tutorial.
I came for one thing to learn and ended up learning a couple new things! You're amazing! Thank you for this video🙏🏻
Hello Corrine! This was a very informative and excellent video. Thanks so much!
Thanks for this. My granddaughter asked for stickers so the timing was perfect.
This was a fantastic tutorial and you were so pleasant to listen to. Great teacher!
Thank you so much!
Like printable vinyl, shows what you have done.. I have some, have to do some now. Thanks for showing this and all you do. I have learned alot from you. And still learning..thank you.
Great video! Learned several things. Thank you!
Thank you for the great video, very informative and much appreciated 😍
I need you to come and live with me Corinne!!! Lol 😂 Your tutoring is amazing, I’ve watched all your videos and you explain things so clearly, best I’ve ever watched THankyou xx
LOL I am so glad they helped!
You are good at this. The information you shared is very useful. I really learned something today. Thank you and keep winning!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Thanks. This really helped to show the differences in the two!
Very interesting. It would’ve been nice if you also showcased where the clear stickers would be better used and a better choice.
I have white and clear sticker paper so now I’m going to have to test between white sticker paper and white printable vinyl. Has anyone already tested between the 2 yet? Love this video so much! I’m glad it’s not just me who gets errors even when I know I’ve made the offset but it doesn’t change on the screen. Please continue to leave all your experiences in the videos because it really helps to know it’s not just us having them and it may be the sticker design or a blip in the software.
You’re awesome at covering all the aspects of every project you do in your videos.
I, too, was hoping this would compare both "flavors" of white...sticker paper vs printable vinyl. It was interesting, but not really comparing like products.
@@donnaleiber6214 I thought the same. This wasnt a very helpful video. It didnt compare the difference between similar materials. It was a waste of time. The title should have been The difference between CLEAR sticker paper and printable vinyl.
@@jocelyncardenas8258 I personally haven't done a lot of either, but I prefer white printable vinyl for labeling plastic containers. I don't like Cricut brand white printable stickers at all, but some other brands are better, I think. I would love to hear your opinions, too.
@@donnaleiber6214 I have used both white sticker paper and white vinyl sticker paper. I also use a laminate to them to give them extra protection. I find the white sticker paper is thinner and cuts better for me (I have a Scan N Cut). I think this is because the vinyl is thicker and is even thicker with the added laminate. I just end up trimming any loose paper with my scissors.
@@MyRudy45 Thanks for your info!
You are AAAHHHMAZING Corinne!!!
Great video! I could actually follow what you were doing!!! Ty!
Perfect video and just what I was looking for.
OMGGG 😭😭😭 I could cry....you are the first person who has ever told me about the system dialog I could have saved so much trouble 🥲 but thank you. I know now
Thank you for sharing! The Mouse heads are so cute!!!!!
Thanks so much I really was trying to figure out the difference
I purchased the sticker paper, I can not wait to get :)
Thanks Lady! Very informative video 😉
I always love your videos! This one is especially helpful since it’s something I’ve been wanting to try. Where did you get those cute Mickie/Minnie heads files? Thanks!
The mickeys are from the auntietay.com membership :)
Love your Vidieo. Love learning so much from you thank you so much! Someday can you do a Vidieo or tell me how to set up a folder to keep my print and cut in. I’m not organized I need suc easy simple directions because I’m not very good on computer. Your the best thank you
I have a video about organizing. Just make a folder title it print then cut and then bam you have a folder
GREAT video! I am a beginner, so please bear with me. I used your link to get to the Neato website, but I am not seeing Glossy Printable Vinyl for inkjet printers. Can point out which specific product you used?
Thank you so much for this video!
Awesome, awesome video! Gave me all the information I needed to know to make coach appreciation labels. One question, can you print on any vinyl or does it have to be labeled “printable” ? I want to print the labels design in black on colored vinyl but can’t find the color I want in “printable” vinyl.
It must be labeled printable.
What is the recommendation for when the cricut doesn't find the sensor lines on the clear sticker paper? I've wasted too many sheets to continue trial and error.
Thank you. Very clear instructions. I would like to make a chipboard puzzle with a family photo. Would you use vinyl? I have a Maker. Suggestion on cut setting or a great video to watch on how to make a puzzle?
I have a video on puzzle making on my channel search puzzle Corinne and you’ll find it
So helpful. Thanks
Hi!!! Omg i love this!! Exactly what i needed! Quick question for the printable vinyl. If i wanted to seal my cup with epoxy will the sticker get damage? Or would it be fine?
It will be just fine under epoxy :)
Would it be a better comparison to do white sticker paper vs the vinyl?
Love you video. What blade did you use and do you have a link for the printer you used as I need to get a new printer.
Just a fine point blade that comes with the machine and I use an epson et 2720
Please help, I have a new epson inkjet I have done all those things in this video and using printable white vinyl adhesive by crafters choice and the ink doesn't dry. what am I doing wrong. Ive even tried using both sides haha . Maybe the product is only vinyl not printable but the package says printable. Arrgh so frustrating. Excellent video thank you.
Hi, I was wondering what settings you put the cricut machine to for both types of paper
Thank you so much!!!💙
Hey Corrine can you tell me what type of material i could use for a sticker for a glass obv waterproof, ive tried a few with no success all and states waterproof. Thank you for your videos love them xx
The printable vinyl in this video
My offset feature never works. I've had to use a different method which unfortunately takes longer. Overall, thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for the tutorial!!! I am in luuuuv with Mickey ears....can you share where you got them??
The stickers I made are from the auntietay.com

I somehow missed that the sticker paper was transparent. What is the difference or pros / cons of white sticker paper and white vinyl? I have white sticker paper as I am new and didn't realise white vinyl is the same idea? Which is better to use for stickers?
Great video!
Hi Corinne, love your detailed instructions. Wondering if you have ever encountered this problem. When I test print on regular copy paper my words print fine. However, when I print on vinyl sticker paper or regular sticker paper the chuckier letters blur together. Even when I chose fine print in my printer options. Thanks for your help.
I haven’t had that issue. I would try changing your paper type on your printer
@@CorinneBlackstone My printer is new. So I hope got a good one. It is canon ip 8720. The paper I used was Aiva vinyl sticker paper for inkjet Glossy. I changed the printer quality and media setting as well. As long as the print was not small it works fine. Maybe I can contact the help desk at canon. thanks for your reply.
I've been trying to research which crafting machine to buy in order to do things like this. Which cricut machine do you recommend? I love this!
The Starcraft solo is actually the machine I would recommend for print then cut
I want to use the printable vinyl on tumblers. Does it need a sealant before applying epoxy? TIA.
I would recommend using a clear spray to be safe
Hi. Your video looks great and easy. Do you use regular printer ink or sublimation ink? (I have a canon I use for regular printing and an Epson WF-7720 for sublimation). Second, I tried this with The Cricut Explore printable Vinyl that I got with my Explore Air 2 with sublimation ink and there is NOOOOOOO WAY that this is waterproof. It scratched off as soon as my nail scratched it and after that I started scraping it with my nail (since i ruined it) and it literally just peeled off with my nail and I pulled it off like tissue.
You do not create stickers or any kind of prinatable product that will stay on the paper with sublimation. Cricut printable vinyl is absolute trash. You only print on sticker paper with inkjet or laser printers. You will need to see what kind of printer your product works with
Great video! I’ve never done stickers, so if you are giving them away do you leave backing on for them to peel off or will they come off paper to stick on something else? Hope this makes sense!
you leave them on the backing.
You would want to cut using a different setting so that it doesn’t cut all the way through.
Did you lay clear Vinyl or laminate over the vinyl sheet or does it already come with the glossy look protection over it and print on it
It’s already glossy
I’m totally new to this your video is very helpful but I am wondering is the regular printer ink waterproof?
These stickers are water resistant not proof
Hi, I am a newbie, so you I have converted my ET 2720 for sublimation. Can I still use it to print these stickers, or do I use my Injet printer to print them out?
No you need to use an inkjet printer
Your video is helpful. I love it. I'm very new to this sticker industry. I saw some said "printable vinyl sticker paper". Are they printable vinyl or they just regular sticker paper. Sometime the word it's really confused me
Printable vinyl and printable sticker paper are quite different materials for sure. These are both on the vinyl end of the spectrum. Printable sticker paper will have more of a paper feeling where a printable vinyl product will be more of a plastic type feeling
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you. Good to know
That clear sticker paper would be perfect on a glittered cup, allowing the glitter to sparkle through, like a water slide.
U could use the clear to make transfers for furniture
i saw you have an epson et-4700 series installed. are there any difference in the print quality compare to the epson et-2720? i opt to purchase the et-4750 because of the auto feeder function. if you don't mind, why do you have both? Do you think it would work for the sticker and heat-on purpose and other crafty stuff?
I actually have three printers the 4700 is a sublimation printer. It does not do the same type of prints as the 2720 I also have the st 4000 for sublimation as well
What material settings did you use for vinyl
What setting for the cut would you use if you don’t want it as a dye cut, instead left on the paper as a sheet to use as needed like marketing material stickers??
You’re going to need to do test cuts. I’ve tried copy paper which worked ok but I don’t usually do anything but die cuts
Hello, this video comparison and tutorial on how to was amazing. I do have a question, How can I help out with smeared ? The design gets off when touched. Can it be the printer is not great for this type of project? I have a brother inkvestment tank. Hope someone can help on clarifying. H
Keep up the good work!
If it’s smearing let it sit to dry before touching by it. Also try changing around some settings on the printer. It may just be putting out too much ink
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks so much for the reply. I did let it dry and even next day I try and it will smeared. But will try settings the thing is there is not much options in the settings. 🙈
I have some oracle permanent glossy vinyl and I have totally forgot what I can use it for. What can I use it for? Thanks in advance
Permanent vinyl is for hard surfaces like glass, plastic wood that kind of stuff
excellent tips! I have a question tho, do you have any experience with holographic printable vinyl? if so, is there anything to take into consideration which is like specific to this type of vinyl when buying it and printing with it or is it the same as normal white glossy vinyl? thanks in advance!:)
Some cricut machines do not read holographic well but I’ve had no issues I get mine here www.hayespaper.com/?ref=CORINNE
You can use code CORINNE for 15% off
Would the sticker paper work to print names & stick them to mdf board? I'd like to print names, nothing bold or colorful like these stickers but I'm wondering if the paper would stick to the mdf board or if I can seal them using mod podge?
You would not want to seal them with mod podge. It’s just glue and it causes streaking. I believe as long as the mdf is smooth they would stick
thanks Corinne
Hi Corrine, I'm so glad I found you, you teach so well! I can't find which is the NAME of your sticker VINYL in your description it takes to me a website?
It’s the printable vinyl
It’s the printable vinyl
Hi. I have the problem that Cricut Printable will go through my printer just fine but sticker paper is too thick and won't feed through. Do you know how the thickness of the neato brands compare with the cricut brands?
Much thinner. The cricut brand is terrible.
Hi Corrine so do you put the printable vinyl shiny side down thanks Judy 🌼
If you mean in the cricut no. You put it printed side up. It you mean in the printer you need to figure out which way your printer actually prints the paper.
Nice video! So is the printable vinyl the way to go? Also is it waterproof? Should you seal the top or laminate it or anything?? Thanks!!
It’s water proof yes it’s really personal choice and a matter of what you are putting it on you don’t need to seal it
Thanks for the tutorial. I still have a question....I am currently on a journey to find the best (heaviest, sickest) vinyl printable paper that will last on a vehicle. I am using / testing JOYEZA Premium Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printer. This paper does not withstand the test of time...within 2 months begins to peal up from the sides. Application / prep was done correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks for a fellow Cricut crafter.
Try Starcraft it’s pretty dang amazing I’ve had one on my truck for about 6 months and it still looks great
@@CorinneBlackstone WOW thanks for the fast reply. Super will do. Thank you for the suggestion. I'm doing the same thing; testing them on my own truck before I attempt to sell them. I want to make sure I have a good product. Any comment / suggestions on how to cut only the back side of the sticker so it would be easier to remove the backing?
I would have loved to see the comparison on white paper aswell
Hi, what ate the settings for the printable vinyl? Is there a kiss cut setting?
Rice paper worked really well on my machine.
Can I use printable vinyl sheets on a eco solvent printer?
Or use a white permanent vinyl to print on?
No not these you cannot I believe regular vinyl you can
Question does the printable vinyl fade if i put it on my car , do i need to clear coat or add a clear laminate to the vinyl ?
Yes the ink will fade. I recommend a uv laminate to prevent that
You are amazing! There is another lady making these on RUclips and selling decals. She was telling people this could not be done at home. I knew I saw others doing it and you just proved my point ❤️ Could you layer this with UV resin or apoxy ? Would it smear . Thank you so much for helping other crafters ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You can absolutely put these under UV resin or epoxy they will not smear! I am so annoyed when people give out wrong info! I would love to see her video. If you are on facebook or Instagram please look me up and PM me the link. :) THANK YOU!
Do you have a recommendation for printable vinyl for a laser printer?
this is good for laser or inkjet bit.ly/32LETsd
Fantastic 😊
I noticed that you say to hold the control button to add multiple images. I never have to do that.
I just click all the ones I want… no extra buttons needed.
I have the epson 4700 with sublimation ink, can i do this with that type of ink?
No these need to be done with inkjet ink
Hi Corrine! I just want to ask if the Neato Printable Vinyl is the same type of product as Cricut brand printable vinyl, only a glossy version? I prefer glossy vinyl, and think that the Cricut brand printable is more matte. I used the Cricut brand to make a NFL team logo (attached to a white background, then flattened) to go over Frosted Window Cling on glass blocks, and was disappointed.
Cricut printable vinyl is awful it’s so thick and known to damage printers. The neato printable vinyl is so glossy and thin much better wuality
@@CorinneBlackstone Thanks for the info and the great video! I'm ordering my Neato Printable Vinyl today! 🌺
Corinne, I don't have a color printer. With the clear glossy sticker paper, can I print in black/white and then add the color with markers or acrylic paint?
No probably not. Paint will crack off and markers will rub off
@@CorinneBlackstone Well, nerts~~but I do appreciate this quick - and frank - response.
do u have q video showing when u put that shiny paper on the sticker paper?
I didn’t put anything on the sticker paper
What if you used the matte sticker paper instead of the clear printer paper?
Struggling with words on cups etc. Two three lines. Would the clear sticker paper work??
The clear sticker paper might work but keep in mind you will see any kind of edges and it won't be a super bright appearance unless the cup is white.
I bought the white super glossy, would this work for a car decal ? If not I wonder if I could seal it ?
I would recommend adding a uv laminate to it but otherwise it should be fine
@@CorinneBlackstone Thank you so much!
Do you think the clear sticker paper would wok best on glass?
It will work but the color will not be bright unless the glass is not transparent and light colored
I clicked on the vinyl store link and I'm not sure what product I'm looking for to create the vinyl stickers you make in the your video. Can you please let me know. Thank you! Excellent tutorial!
This is the glossy vinyl I used bit.ly/35BUEXP
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you!
Hey Corrine! Was curious, when your printing on these sticker papers did you have any problems with ink smudging? I just bought a vinyl sticker paper and had let the ink dry for a whole day and I touched it gently and the ink just slid right off!
No I never have issues
@@CorinneBlackstone Thank you! I want to try a few other vinyl's so Ill definitely check out the one you listed 😃
Very nice comaprison video
I'm a newbie with my cricut and tried using both printable vinyl and sticker paper to print and cut a memorial sticker for a candle. Neither worked. Both times the print was really distorted. Someone suggested I turn off the bleed. However I see in your video you suggest keeping it on. Do you have any idea why this would happen? Could it be the printer I used? Thanks in advance.
Cricut design space has had a lot of issues with print then cut since some of their most recent updates you almost always want bleed on. The reasons yours look distorted is the glitch with the updates. The only way I have found to fox the problem is to save the project and restart everything. Sadly you may have to do this several times for it to work.
Also it could be an issue of you do not have a solid shape behind your sticker meaning it will cut out every single image individually which is not what you want. I highly recommend you check out this video to help with that. print then cut - Cricut tutorial tips and tricks - System dialog - How to print without lines
ruclips.net/video/IJjTfYveZlU/видео.html
cool interesting, is it paper sticker printer good idea to cover for rhinestone ? xx
You could put rhinestones over sticker paper sure!
I’m having issues with the ink smearing on printable vinyl when printing stickers. I haven’t tried Neato paper but have you had this issue before? Before I start trying different products I’d like to figure out if it’s just the paper I’m using or if maybe there’s something wrong with my inkjet printer.
I have never had the issue but I know perplexed have and typically changing your paper settings helps. Try also not using high as your print quality. A lot of times it’s because your printer is putting out too much ink
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks for the tips. I tried on lower settings and it doesn’t seem to smear as much, but the print quality doesn’t look as great. Do you seal your stickers with anything after printing?
Corinne, I think this was a great comparison. I have a question. When printing on printable vinyl can you use regular ink that comes with the printer? Sorry, I am also doing sublimation and want to make sure I am going to print them correctly.
You want to use inkjet ink.
@@CorinneBlackstone So you do NOT use sublimation ink?
@@sherigaddas8217 no. This is for inkjet printers
Accidentally bought sticker printable vinyl and I was going to make shirts with this can I do that?
Also if I can’t apply to shirts can I use it to make cute wall art for my kids this mommy crafter is curious lol
No. Sticker vinyl meaning adhesive is not for fabrics it will not stay on. And I wouldn’t recommend using it on your walls as it will likely peel your paint if you try to remove it
Have you ever made magic band skins? Trying to figure out how to make them and haven't been able to find a video for how to make them.
There are templates on Etsy for the sizing and then you just make your design in the template
Great video! What printer are you using?
Epson et2720
Thanks! Now I know to get printable vinyl for car decals when someone wants one for a car.
I have sprayed printable vinyl to protect from the elements but still no great results, if you want the color to last outside you need to laminate them.
You will want to use a uv laminate over them for your best sun protection
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks so much I will order some along with the printable vinyl.
If you put laminate over the printable vinyl...will you still cut on heavy cardstock and just one cut?
@@conniemartin7217 yes you may need to add more pressure
Is the printer you are using an inkjet printer or are you using sublimation ink? Won't inkjet ink bleed or run if it gets wet?
This is inkjet and no the stickers are waterproof
I have a problem of my ink not drying on the vinyl. any way to fix this?
Work on your printer settings. Your printer is likely putting too much ink out. So play with the paper type and quality to find the one that works for your printer
