This was the first video that made me understand all of this, I'm taking chemistry rn in highschool and I haven't used metric conversion since I was like 10. Great video.
WOW, I'm 49 yrs old, have an interview Monday morning and need to refresh myself. I've watched other videos but none compare to this. It's so simple. I was never any good with math. THANK YOU
Wow this video really helped me understand. I have a conversions test that I have to take in a few days and this video has helped me tremendously! Thank you for posting you are a lifesaver!!!
this video is awesome. I wanted to review converting metrics before my first class tomorrow to feel more prepared and this video is perfect! Thanks for explaining it so well! :)
This helped me so much. SO SIMPLY TAUGHT... thank you. The guy in the last video started at the beginning of his number instead of at the decimal to move places 😕
One of the best videos that I have ever watched as it relates to metric conversion. I like the information shared as well as the simple demonstrations shown.
you can shift a point or you can shift your brain The advantage is that the number does not change in the metric system, only the point is moved: in meter: 12m in decimeter: 120dm in centimeter: 1,200cm in Millimeter: 120,000mm and it is scalable from the smalles part of an atom to the size of the univers without any rounding error all units are connected with factor 1: Water: 1kg is 1dm³ is 1 liter or 1000: 1kg=1000g=1,000,000mg 1N=1m/1s² push the point instead of multiplying by 0,000568182 or 1760,0005632
I’m in college and my teacher never explained it like this! She tried teaching and I just wasn’t getting it. I told her to teach me a different way..she couldn’t. Thank you for simplifying it from the start
I cannot say how much you helped my daughter and I cannot be able to be with her and it is very much problem for me after doing my job I need to help her with study and I cannot teach her online network problem but thanks a lot from my daughter to you
Thanks idk how to tell you how you saved me in college, never used metric conversion like since in highschool and never expected to actually have this topic in nursing school
Dude thank you so much, this is really going to help me for Chemistry and AP Environmental Science! Also a quick suggestion, use B instead of U since its easier to remember. So you would have: King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk. Rather then: King Henry Died Unexpectedly Drinking Chocolate Milk. The "Unexpectedly" part is too much to remember I would cut that out with By instead, hope that was easier to understand for some of you guys.
Case is important in quite a few of these multipliers and units. M mega, m milli and metre, k kilo, K Kelvin, S Siemens, s second, C Celsius, c centi. MM is mega mega not millimetres which is mm.
There is hope for me. Thank you for posting sir. 9/18/24 on my journey to nursing program. Buffalo new york
This was the first video that made me understand all of this, I'm taking chemistry rn in highschool and I haven't used metric conversion since I was like 10. Great video.
Me too

I used this simple metric conversion chart 30 years ago in my math classes. It worked great.
This is the only video that showed me how to do this in the most detailed and simplest way! Thank god your a life saver!!!🎉

This helped me so much. SO SIMPLY TAUGHT... thank you. The guy in the last video started at the beginning of his number instead of at the decimal to move places 😕
Omg, God bless your heart 🥰🥰🥰. I’m going to nurse school and I couldn’t do it without watching this video
Amazing!! so relaxing and not stressful!! Dang I wish mt teachers were like this.
Excellent video! Simple and to the point. Great refresher. Thank you!
One of the best videos that I have ever watched as it relates to metric conversion. I like the information shared as well as the simple demonstrations shown.
you can shift a point or you can shift your brain
The advantage is that the number does not change in the metric system, only the point is moved:
in meter: 12m
in decimeter: 120dm
in centimeter: 1,200cm
in Millimeter: 120,000mm
and it is scalable from the smalles part of an atom to the size of the univers without any rounding error
all units are connected with factor 1:
Water: 1kg is 1dm³ is 1 liter
or 1000: 1kg=1000g=1,000,000mg
1N=1m/1s²
push the point instead of multiplying by 0,000568182 or 1760,0005632
This made it so simple to understand opposed to those fractions they teach. THANK YOU!! :)
Thanks For The Help! This Was A Really Great Video For Kids Who Have Problems Understanding Measurements!
I give you I million thumbs up! You are the best.
I’m in college and my teacher never explained it like this! She tried teaching and I just wasn’t getting it. I told her to teach me a different way..she couldn’t. Thank you for simplifying it from the start

Perfect and simple explanation, thank you very much!
“King Henry Died Drinking Chocolate Milk”😊
K: kilo= 1000
H: hecto= 100
D: deca(decade)= 10
D: Deci(decimal)= 0.1
C: Centi =00.1
M: Milli: 000.1
you just saved me in my college chemistry class. thank you for making it so easy to understand. keep up these great videos

This is iconic.
Thank you very much!
Thank you so much this thing actually helps me
Great video. Thanks for this.
why is this so quiet
Thank you! this video helped me a lot since I was confused about our topic.
Does this work for mmol
Mr. Kohne, did you list gram, m eter and liter in order of smallest to largest or are they neutral because they are base units?
They are base units. Gram for mass, Meters for length and Liter for volume (Liter is not a base unit actually, the base unit is m^3, and 1L = 1dm^3).
If you follow the SI units, kilo must always be written with a small k. Milli must always be written with small m, otherwise it is Mega.
*Could someone please explain what an inch-mile is?*
Love your explanation. Its will be better if i would be hear early.
Agree, really useful and easy to memorize! Keep up the good work :3
TYSM this helps me soooo much more than my teacher did. again, thank youuuuuuuu(:
Actually the symbol of the unit Deca is Da not only D.
My mistake was forgetting the units and was counting wrong I forgot the" unexpectadle" and was off by ten , thanks I understand now..
best video
You can also say King Henry Doesn't Usually Drink Chocolate Milk. :)
Thank you so much. This helped me a lot.And now i have a better understanding of the dewy decimal system.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing... so easy to understand.
Thank you sir
Great video, this helped me understand it more.
Hi mr Kohne this is your student caroline
No you are Brian foster
No you are Lauren Dom
No you are Verti Boi
no you are neoRockw3b
no you are Arins Zae Bajamundi
Where is mL?
Seriously, thank you!
u saved my grades bro gg keep up bro
The liter is not a base unit anymore, the mole is, and the kilogram is the base unit for mass, not the gram. Also you did not include seconds
best video great job
Omg. This is amazing!
I love this it helped me in the test
its very easy to understand wow i even paased my test thanks to this video
My exam is in 58 minutes thank you
the phrase i made is kangaroo's hope down my for meter driveway to collect mangoes
i had question those the khdudcm had miles
What if the given has khz to hz?
FABULOUS!!
the symbol for kilo is "k" (small letter).
Case is important in quite a few of these multipliers and units. M mega, m milli and metre, k kilo, K Kelvin, S Siemens, s second, C Celsius, c centi. MM is mega mega not millimetres which is mm.
Me studying one day before Physics test lol
I wish I could say I'm joking :')
if anything this is the video!,my math teacher is terrible to the point that when i study i only get 3 things right, this is fs a method that helps!
thanks for helping :D
