wow, you are very thorough. i'd be fascinated to know what the customer paid ... i would have to charge a fortune to strip a machine back to the chassis, way more than the machine is ever going to be worth ...
Question about that clutch lining, when playing I can I hear a scratching type noise somewhere in the take up side, could that be the problem? That the lining needs to be replaced?
Hi! Very nice videos. I couldn’t find part3. Anyways, I have the same Akai and It doesn’t start. I took it apart and found the problem. Well, I found out whats going on but not the solution to it. Is there any way to send you a short video on whats the problem? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks Regards
Wow, never seen a 4000D look like this. Different look indeed!

Basically it was a write off , beyond economic repair, it probably would has been cheaper to have purchased another machine.

Hi! Great video and great job!
Would like to know the felt pads are 2mm thick? 1mm? Depends of model?
Thanks!

It was a real shame that the machine was allowed to fall into this state.
Так и было!
Shame it isn't a 4000d. This is not a 4000D
Yes it is...4000D on the back plate and on the front cover4000D.
