It's not simply 3 lane that gets boring, otherwise people wouldn't still be playing dust 2 only on csgo. And the alternative might be a map where you can get shot from every angle no matter how well you position yourself. I'm fine with no 3 lane maps but they better make them still flow well and not have the maps like ghosts or battlefield 4.

(My opinion at least, I couldn’t stand any of the black ops and obviously not ghosts) I think this game will be in the list of best call of duty’s. Time will tell
agreed, i still think world at war had the best maps. another thing i miss is the rag doll blowing up realistically like in world at war, where explosions made your limbs fly unlike the cartoon looking deaths on this game
#1 Issue is prolly gonna be the "no hitscan weapons" thing. If anyone here has played titanfall 2 they know the lag with projectile weapons. And if anyone remembers the lag/server issues with BO3 its prolly gonna end up being a very laggy experience

I love all the little details I'm seeing. Like, there's no mini map unless a UAV is up, but you can see the direction of enemy gunfire on your compass (provided its not suppressed, I assume). You actually have to pull out and prime a grenade before throwing it, rather than it instantly flying. The fact you pull your sidearm out while climbing a ladder so you're not completely helpless. I think I even see an option for changing fire modes on some weapons, in case you want to go to semi-auto.
I really didn't have much excitement when BO4 was announced in any form. The teaser trailer for this released and I was automatically hyped - this has me hyped further

This is all i wanted.. Uneven map design with clutter cover, variable elevation, and power positions. Fun fact: these animations were made from scratch from the original animators from MW1&2.. They went with Vince & Jason when they left to go make Respawn. Im so glad their work continues to shine till this day👍👍 wherever they are
I see there is a M4. I am happy. The weapon customisation looks to be inspired by MoH warfighter. It's not a bad thing, cause in MP not 2 guns are alike. Giving the guns a more personal feel

Did people not like scorestreaks? I think reverting to killstreaks is a step back; it doesn't incentivise objective play in objective modes. Pretty disappointed with that.

I love how Modern Warfare is evolving the traditional COD map design. There are a lot of 3 lane map offerings that I love from various COD’s (MW2, BO1, BO3 etc.) but that formula has been stale for years. The maps being more convoluted by cluttered obtrusions making the environments more realistic, and still maintaining COD’s infamously fast pace is super dope.
So I used to work at a gun store so I have some pretty vast knowledge of how firearms work I'm not going to lie I am actually pretty stoked for this game 😁 I'm very excited for attachments and I'm excited for the pros and cons that come with them
FromHyrule good thing bearings and compasses are realistic. So I’m confused on how this is relative to Fortnite bud. I used compasses in the military and used bearings to signify certain landmarks for example.

I guess no mini map awareness means you instinctively have to use sound. Taking a more cautious approach with predicting enemy movements. Makes a change from bunny hopping around a corner and playing like a rambo on steriods charging in with zero fucks given
The compass at the top works just like the minimap. Red dots in directions where people shoot you know their direction just not a pinpoint location I like that not like my teammates look at the minimap anyways

This is so untrue. Some of the greatest multiplayer maps in history are 3-lane. 3-lane is a tried and true formula that *works*. Yes, often CoD has boring 3 lane maps. It also has many great ones. Go look at CoD Ghosts where they mostly abandoned 3-Lane; the maps had no flow and were a mess, not suited for CoD gameplay at all.

to be honest, i stopped playing cod after BO2. But this one gave me the same vibe that i had with older call of duty and i preordered it. I hope my expectations will be filled!
It's Infinity Ward, they typically do. People just judge everything solely on face value, hence why Ghosts is suddenly "Oh, not as bad as I thought before" and infinite Warfare the best future CoD because of how it treated its players. Don't like jetpacks? Here's a mode without them. Microtransactions suck? Yeah, here's some new weapons you can get for free without even touching a loot box at all.
You can still see the direction enemy gunfire is coming from on your compass. I rather like that we don't constantly have a magic eye in the sky all the time. You still get that when a UAV goes up.

As a gun nerd, I cannot wait for this game. I've been waiting for Call of Duty to use ballistic based shooting mechanics. Seems a little strange to mount a foregrip on an MP5 though.

I might actually buy this game at launch and will be playing this game now for a while. I stopped CoD after WW2, skipped BO4, I only play MWR but got tired that the game is simple and that the supply drops don't give you camos or guns. Then I went into non stop playing Battlefront 2 EA, which after all these updates, that game is so much fun now. I really hope this Call of Duty impresses most players and get us to no longer hating this franchise for a while. I only worry that this Modern Warfare game will have instant deaths like Ghosts had, which ruined it for everyone

Kill streaks only is an awful decision. May as well take every objective mode out of the game except TDM, FFA KC and Search. How boring.

Making Stopping Power a separate magazine is a neat idea, glad they borrowed it from MoH Warfighter.

This really does look satisfying to play, but I'm going to hold out on buying it until maybe February 2020, just to make sure they don't fill it with microtransactions and bullshit after Q4 2019 ends.

@Garrett Friday I appreciate the advice, but I don't think that works that way. Once they have my money, they're gonna try to pry as much out of my wallet as possible. I'm sure they still will stuff that game full of microtransactions, but to the extent of which I don't know, and that's the reason why I'm waiting.
@@rdowg actually one of the leakers talked to a game developer of mw 2019 and they said if the sales in the game drop and they don't get money then that's when the will start pushing the microtransactions

I like these new maps, you have to learn your suroundings in each maps unlike knowing every map equaly because of the three lanes you go through

Lol you’re not alone on that one. I’ve done some shooting, but I mostly do airsoft with AR platform guns, and the sound of an AR or M4 reloading is music to my ears.
I guess no mini map awareness means you instinctively have to use sound. Taking a more cautious approach with predicting enemy movements. Makes a change from bunny hopping around a corner and playing like a rambo on steriods charging in with zero fucks given

The compass at the top works just like the minimap. Red dots in directions where people shoot you know their direction just not a pinpoint location I like that not like my teammates look at the minimap anyways

Hopefully this game is catered to the past generation who grew up playing the old modern warfare, we need some nostalgia just this once.

3 lanes are for baby's who like simple routes. Have a map that's not 3 lane will make flanking much different. Each map will be more unique in design.
This is so untrue. Some of the greatest multiplayer maps in history are 3-lane. 3-lane is a tried and true formula that *works*. Yes, often CoD has boring 3 lane maps. It also has many great ones.
Go look at CoD Ghosts where they mostly abandoned 3-Lane; the maps had no flow and were a mess, not suited for CoD gameplay at all.

to be honest, i stopped playing cod after BO2. But this one gave me the same vibe that i had with older call of duty and i preordered it. I hope my expectations will be filled!
It's Infinity Ward, they typically do. People just judge everything solely on face value, hence why Ghosts is suddenly "Oh, not as bad as I thought before" and infinite Warfare the best future CoD because of how it treated its players. Don't like jetpacks? Here's a mode without them. Microtransactions suck? Yeah, here's some new weapons you can get for free without even touching a loot box at all.

You can still see the direction enemy gunfire is coming from on your compass. I rather like that we don't constantly have a magic eye in the sky all the time. You still get that when a UAV goes up.

As a gun nerd, I cannot wait for this game. I've been waiting for Call of Duty to use ballistic based shooting mechanics. Seems a little strange to mount a foregrip on an MP5 though.

Oh my lord, this game is surpassing so many of my expectations. This is similar of a leap in quality as the one we saw from CoD 3 and 4
1) Mini Map needs to come back
2) spawn delay needs to go away
3) the xp bar at the bottom of the screen like in MW2

Mini map was a crutch, let's admit it. It took up 90% of the screen with how much everyone looked at it in 1 match alone.

I might actually buy this game at launch and will be playing this game now for a while. I stopped CoD after WW2, skipped BO4, I only play MWR but got tired that the game is simple and that the supply drops don't give you camos or guns.
Then I went into non stop playing Battlefront 2 EA, which after all these updates, that game is so much fun now.
I really hope this Call of Duty impresses most players and get us to no longer hating this franchise for a while. I only worry that this Modern Warfare game will have instant deaths like Ghosts had, which ruined it for everyone
