- Samsung is in a bit of a problem, its about to discontinue its beloved galaxy FE series, its Exynos chipsets are not even close to its competition Qualcomm snapdragon, Samsung’s sales are dropping and Samsung has a big problem with its foldable as well. So these are severe issues happening with Samsung, so today we’ll see what is happening, why it is happening and what Samsung is doing about it?

I am using S21 fe with Exynos 2100 . See I know it’s not a gaming processor but it’s a flagship one and I’m getting the same experience. I don’t know about previous exynos processor but the 2100 is a good processor obviously not as equal to the snapdragon counterpart and that’s why the s21fe was a hit in the offer time and RUclipsrs didn’t complained much about the 2100.

I do play bgmi sometimes, I have not faced heating issues but yeah in the battery department , it’s not a excellent battery but it’ll get through 1 day with medium and light usage but not heavy usage.
Changing processor branding can be a great strategy as we've already seen this happening to the likes of Intel & AMD
The moment you said ki "inhe Exynos ke saath experiment karne ki liye naya bakra chahiye" I thought you'll say Google considering the fact that their Tensor chips are nothing but (perhaps modified) Exynos!!
Ya tensor are modified exynos chips with but a little slower than exynos

The Prime reason is that coz they aren't concentrating on their S Series

Hmm they said the FE will continue and they are for sure discontinuing the A7x series and it's confirmed this time there will be no A74 only A54, as the price of A7x series are clashing with their own FE series.
A7x is something i dont understand at all as to why it even exist at the price it does when samsung FE series is a thing FE series proves that samsung can surely sell that top tier hardware at that cost and A7x is just overpriced and bad value. glad it is being discontinued. ngl i dont understand why A5x exist either when their M series exist, well i guess some people like the "premium" feature and 4 year+ of updates

As a former samsung employee in charge of sales, Samsung, at least in India, is initiating severe cost cutting and all the good sales people in stores have had their salaries cut and are switching to the likes of Vivo Oppo etc

Instead of working on pricing of their Flagships, they thought of discontinuing Samsung FE series which in my view is one of the most successful series of a brand that's known for its flagship phones.

I know exynos is weak but I have been using a53 5g with exynos 1280 for 7 months now and I kinda liked it.first I was not very confident on switching from an snapdragon 720g to exynos but after trying it out it's OK for an mid range phone like mine but samsung have to improve it. Hope they do it 😊
I have used S20 and owned a S21. I bought a Exynos version. I never had to face any issues with it. I use my phone for photography and casual gaming playing heavy titles like Genshin Impact. I never had to face an issue with it. Sometimes I feel that Exynos is demonised more than it should be.

@@axel3895 If you have old exynos cheap phones then that will be the case. It’s not the case with the S series. People have always loved the S series due to its premium quality. Even IPhones can drop to zero suddenly. My friend has a iPhone 12 mini, it can’t even make it to the end of the day.
@kickassguy704 I am talking about S series phone and by dying in your face I didn't mean battery life. Samsung s series or any other phone powered by exynos just dies by its own it gets stuck in a boot loop while you are using the phone. Just Google it or see it in RUclips. Search samsung (whatever your model is) stuck in samsung logo or boot loop. I have 3 phones died the same way and conveniently, it happens after the warranty expires. BTW samsung knows this problem.

Samsung is also working on rollable smartphones and is the only company who can do it...baki toh sb copy paste chlta h...btw samsung is trying to get rid of the crease without having to sacrifice water resistance rating...no other foldable is water resistance...news h this year they are gonna launch a perfect foldable

Yes, Samsung is not going to use the Exynos chipsets at least in flagships
They might still experiment these chips in FEs and A series
Let's wait for the 2025 Samsung's custom chip which they are starting from the scratch in collaboration with Google and a few engineers they stole from Apple 😂. (They are calling it the Galaxy Dream project or whatever)
There's no denying that Samsung is nailing it with their flagship lineups, but they aren't good with the budget phones. We can get good Chinese alternatives but still the software experience on Samsung midrange phones is far better than those (except for Motorola).
Lastly coming to the foldables, we didn't get a flat hinge with Fold 4 and Flip 4 because Samsung wanted to make them water-resistant (As of now only Samsung's foldable are water-resistant). However, it's rumoured that Fold 5 and Flip 5 will have a fully folding hinge with minimum crease along with water resistance.
I hope we see a good upgrade in Samsung's foldable phones because the previous year phones were just not worthy of being called as an upgrade. With Google finally entering the foldable market this year, we might see some competition.

Battery life is mediocre and performance is subpar (Although E2100 is a capable chip, it doesn't perform identically with the s21 series).
The performance is not a con though as it is still very capable.
Battery life needs to be improved though.

Samsung is overconfident in foldables bcz of having monopoly in global market in foldables and when they will face competition they may change like it did earlier.
For S23 series - 8 gen 2 chipset will be manufactured by Samsung itself and not by TSMC, So the heating and inefficiency issue will continue in this year's flagship as well (unless they change the manufacturing method which is not likely). Brace for it.
I think non gamers can use Exynos without any issues in FE series

Me watching this video on my 2 yrs old S20 Fe with Exynos 990. I think people go a little too rough on exynos. I mean even after 2 yrs this processor is still snappy as day 1 and it gives a very good phone experience.
It depends on the tasks you do with your phone, if you're a casual user it works.
@Mr Techpedia TBH I mostly use it for photography, office work, and social media along with some rare gaming. One might be surprised by the image processing capabilities of Exynos chips and their compatibility with Samsung cameras. All and all I have no complaints about Exynos as It gives me a flagship experience on my FE

4:13 using s20 fe 5g for almost a year now(bought in June 2023 for 25k) except the heating issue and the battery backup being about 6 hrs SOT, the phone works absolutely fabulous. It even has 4k recording in front camera. The photos and videos look absolutely stunning. I'll say it was a bargain for me and I love it
After looking at the price and features of S23 FE I wish Samsung had discontinued it. Such a bad phone for the price it’s asking.

Most people don't know that Samsung exynos processors are used in Korean missiles. It's not just phones, alot of products need processors.

The fold series from Samsung is the only fold phone (IPX8 certified ) which is water resistant with that's why there hinge are not that great in looks(does not make screen close together when we fold the phone) and there is not other fold phone form any manufacturer which provides water resistant also there are rumors that fold 5 will come with new design of hinge which makes the screen to make complete contact and remain flat while we fold the phone you cant compare a phone without telling both there cons and pros
