Tiny, owner operator 43 yrs, always had hoods. But in today's world they are fading away. Retired, but if were getting back in it today I would get a 579. Less wt, easy maneuvering tight corners and docks. Also, brand specific parts Peterbilt will fit both trucks. Something to keep in mind. Either way you go I wish you all the best.
As a small business owner myself with only 1 truck, it all boils down to cost of ownership for me. I would go with keeping Tiny because of the fuel economy. There is a market for someone to buy either but when push comes to shove extra fuel savings is money directly into the bank account.
I Traded my 379 In for a new 389 back in October of 2012 and my 389 has a Cummins Isx15 550 HP. If I had it do over again I would have Quit Running Cali and Ordered a 389 Glider with a 6nz. Now I just run FL to MN and back pulling a Spread Axle Reefer. Hopefully I will see you and Alice on the road one day Take Care.
You all have been working on moving and your trucks that’s a lot. As for which truck Tiny makes sense, Martin won’t sell Fancy so it will be a spare or you can use it as a camper hauler when you vacation. Love the videos.
Absolutely, you out your rigs, and contrary to popular beliefs, I actually like watching the working in the trucks and putting money in your pockets by doing most of the work yourselves, anybody can hold the steering wheel..East coast Canada 🇨🇦 NB province here says hello. Tiny dancer all the way.
yup! that's a beautiful area! congrats on that! discissions! poll closes! a bunch of work which ever route! good stuff! break out the Hickory flooring!
I think y’all are awesome no matter what you are doing. It’s your life, live it and enjoy. Hope to meet you all one day. Run Fancy, it’s an icon and a reliable workhorse.
Well I followed you guy’s religiously, I had a 2008 T660 13sp Cummins 3:36 24.5 rubber but CA didn’t give me registration after 2023, LA/LB PORTS When I started looking for a new truck Tiny came to my mind and I seen how you guy’s ran team with Tiny trouble free for the first year. So I decided to buy a 2020, 579 auto ouch!!! I said. But with the MPG I’m getting this truck is paying for it self. Running 550 HP vs 450Hp OUCH!!! well it’s not a left lane truck but I love the MPG 5.5 vs 7.5 Thank you guys for your content.
Fancy with APU probably more efficient overall. Always got tiny for backup. Of course you could always just switch off to keep them both in top shape then let one sit.
Martin you are always Precise in your Decision making and for the amount of work and time that you put in to Tiny Dancer to Rebuild the Entire Motor and you yourself pulled the motor out and rebuilt the inside parts and Re-installed the Motor ,Technically you should run Tiny Dancer for your work days so you can enjoy knowing the amount of timespent on working on Tiny Dancer and all that you invested in to rebuilding Tiny Dancer that if you were to get in to Tiny Dancer to go to Work then you can feel confident that Tiny Dancer will be a totally reliable work truck and the main reason why i say this it the Motor was " Martin Built" for reliability so go enjoy driving Tiny Dancer knowing the motor was rebuilt correctly for reliability and you should have the enjoyable time riding in Tiny Dancer know its Built Right in the Motor plus in your past videos you compliment Tiny Dancer on its Great Fuel Milage plus its Ride inside is Very Quiet riding So My Gut Feeling Honestly Martin would send you in the Direction that you sit and ride in Tiny Dancer then you can know how well your full rebuild of the motor pays off in reliability in working cause as said earlier in was Martin Built and the Motor Labor comes with a long human Warranty Guaranteed by Martin Jez Warranty Program in Extended Warranty Srvice Agreement , Go Enjoy Riding in Tiny as you worked hard to get Tiny back on the road so you get to Enjoy driving Tiny to know that your total rebuild was a great reliable and strong Sucess Martin as a strong follower of your channel you should enjoy driving Tiny Dancer and as another viewr said make Fancy a backup and a Show Truck ,Martin what you do in repairs your quality in workmanship is alway there so now go Enjoy your time driving Mr Tiny Dancer !!!!
If you’re looking to run a business, then Tiny makes the most sense. However if you want to be happy with the lower fuel mileage, then keep Fancy as it sounds like that’s what you want to do. Listening to you talk, I think you answered your own question. “I really don’t want to sell Fancy” My vote in today’s trucking industry, and the rates/fuel being what it is; got to go with Tiny!
@@TruckingTogether you’re doing the right thing hold your head up high and get the hell out of there as fast as you can would be my suggestion. Just saying love you guys.
I have a lots of respect for you and Martin on your knowledge of operating your business. I’m also happy that you put the😂 effort in, to leave California. Wishing you all the best.
aero and fuel mileage should be the deciding factor for the long run. plus 'fancy' will be needing a new engine, overhaul or new. I was in the same boat when i had to get rid of my 359. good luck.
I think it makes more financial sense to Drive Tiny .. Rates are poor and Fuel Costs are crucial nowdays keep Fancy for Fun and.as a spare in.case any long down time with the 2 579 s
Love fancy but at the end of the day tiny makes the most sense. But at the end of the day I’m sure that whatever you choose it will be fine. Y’all have always been able to adapt and overcome all the challenges thrown at you.
well as far as working goes Martin has put so much time and effort in both the truck he should keep them both and put fancy in the yard and work that tine hard on the road. Fancy is too nice a truck to sell and if possible to keep such a beautiful example of a W900 would be a real plus in the future
Enjoy your blog and this is 1st post. In today market fuel is big. I also think your w9 must ride well. I am retired so comfort is big for me. Good luck in your choice. Remember if your choice is wrong you will always find a replacement down the road. W9 would be my keeper.
I would hate to have to make that choice. I see plus and cons in both. I see it as more of a heart thing in the long run. Tiny has a new engine which would be a huge expense if Fancy went down. But it seems that Fancy has Martins's heart. Even though I am not a trucker,I have made decisions based on more money or what makes me truly happy. I took the money and regretted it. All that being said, I think Fancy would be my choice. BTW the hell with the nay-sayers it is your life, not theirs!! Love your content and thanks for sharing with us.
sold it to keep CEVA and CARB happy just to lose the contract a month later and wind up moving to the midwest. Try not to miss episodes, things always happening so if you miss an episode you'll be wondering as its an ongoing story lol
Good evening Martin, I think you should keep the ole faithful Kennington-Worthington W900 L …if I were you i would consider trading both tiny and fancy for a newer W900 with low mileage on it ( that’s another option )
I love your home videos. It’s nice to see you guys relaxing some what and enjoying the fruits of your labor. You guys worked extremely hard in the past you should take time off for family and reflection
Personally I would get tiny's engine broke in that you built, just in case ya'll change your mind's and put on a driver again !! You built it,you break it in Martin. That way you'll know exactly what you have if you do sell it! Ya'll enjoy Rollin again, be safe and have fun!! Happy Trails!!!
It's absolutely 💯 amazing how viewers get upset with you and Martin aren't working, obviously they are jealous of your business and success
Work tiny and make fancy a show truck. Truck prices are falling and fuel isn't.
Good suggestion
I think Martin should keep "Fancy" !! Old but Faithful!!
Tiny, owner operator 43 yrs, always had hoods. But in today's world they are fading away. Retired, but if were getting back in it today I would get a 579. Retire Fancy, he has paid his dues.
No-brainer pre-DEF.
100%
Martin is a Hood man with fancy Hello from South Carolina God bless you and your family Be safe
Fancy should be a show truck. Make tiny work
Great video Martin and Alice
I love watching your guys' videos. Whether you're driving or whether you're just working on your trucks, making them pretty.
As a small business owner myself with only 1 truck, it all boils down to cost of ownership for me. I would go with keeping Tiny because of the fuel economy. There is a market for someone to buy either but when push comes to shove extra fuel savings is money directly into the bank account.
The head says Tiny has a freshly rebuilt engine, and great fuel ⛽ economy.
Retire fancy or maybe turn fancy into a show truck.
Tiny makes the most business sense. Follow your head not your heart.
The ‘W’ model all day mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Roll with Tiny... better gas mileage. Let Fancy be the backup.
Heck, you guys have been doing good with both truck sitting in the driveway. Let them sit!!
Glad you can take your time, who cares what others think!
Drive Tiny and keep Fancy. If you change your mind you can jump back into Fancy!
Definitely fancy gotta love what you drive

I will watch you guys no matter what your great people and always smiling
Tiny! Be careful out there!! Love your videos!! Thx
Fancy all day ,both trucks are beautiful always can remember fancy when I started watching you guys
Keep the W900
Why?
The cost of registration and insurance for the trucks sitting there is a cost. More add ons to make the truck keep aerodynamic, BRILLIANT!
Don’t care enjoy your time . Martin looks good and right in the w9
Keep fancy!,
You all have been working on moving and your trucks that’s a lot. As for which truck Tiny makes sense, Martin won’t sell Fancy so it will be a spare or you can use it as a camper hauler when you vacation. Love the videos.
👍👍👍🇺🇸
Love the way Martin words things 😅

Fancy Martin loves the old girl an it looks great coming down the road ❤
When money's not an issue drive what puts a smile on your face. I wouldn't sell either truck ever, freight will bounce back in a couple years.

Keep fancy!
Keep the truck that will make the most money for you business is business great video safe travels
Keep driving fancy!
ive seen the ad for tiny. If it was late in the year, Id have already bought it. Especially with the renew-ed engine.
Fuel efficiency 👍🏼
If it were me, I would sell the Pete and use the $$$ for repair/rebuild on the W900L when needed. I can see why you enjoy the KW.
I say the KW with the real Hood.👍🏼🤙🏽 the man truck🤟🏽✌🏽😊😎🙋🏽♂️
Definitely fancy he's awesome

from a business standpoint definitely keep tiny but from a badass standpoint fancy😂. I feel your pain martin I couldn't decide.
go with the best deal for business Larry
I enjoy the working on trucks.

APU is a life saver . Period
Martin I'd say ya need ta run Fancy it's you Martin with the manual ya got a beautiful w9.👍🇺🇸
Tiny would do amazing hooked to a hopper. These Carolina runs are pretty decent
Alice, I’m glad you guys got out of Cali. I heard gas went to $7.30 a gallon yesterday. That place is a nuthouse.
I’m going back this weekend to move my mother out of there and am honestly dreading going back -A
@@TruckingTogether you’re doing the right thing hold your head up high and get the hell out of there as fast as you can would be my suggestion. Just saying love you guys.

The Freight Rates will get better.
Put fancy on the road
Definitely keep fancy
Fancy without a doubt
Absolutely no explanation needed from you fine folks. You do what you need to do when you want to
Send it out the stacks is my vote! YOLO enjoy the large car!
Keep the big hood 😎
i would stay with the Kenny !!!
Tiny makes economical sense.
I think it makes more financial sense to Drive Tiny .. Rates are poor and Fuel Costs are crucial nowdays keep Fancy for Fun and.as a spare in.case any long down time with the 2 579 s
Just my opinion I would keep Fancy for sure.
I see the old KW.👍🏼🤟🏽🤙🏽😊😎🙋🏽♂️✌🏽
Keep Tiny! Fancy could be a spare or I Love yhe idea of a show truck also!!
Hands down Fancy all the way!!
Keep fancy!!
Tiny 💯 percent
Tiny ❤️💯💯💯
I luv all your videos….even the non driving…maybe more !
Love fancy but at the end of the day tiny makes the most sense. But at the end of the day I’m sure that whatever you choose it will be fine. Y’all have always been able to adapt and overcome all the challenges thrown at you.
Go with fancy is it automatic I think they all 3 are nice really nice good to see y’all be safe enjoy ur time at home happy for yall
Fancy is a manual, Tiny is the automatic so not sure which you are voting for ;)
well as far as working goes Martin has put so much time and effort in both the truck he should keep them both and put fancy in the yard and work that tine hard on the road. Roll Fancy..

With current rates I say go with the most financial sound option. If you retire Fancy from OTR you then have a toter for a bigger toy hauler.

I have been out of the loop when did you get a third semi? What happened to the green semi?
sold it to keep CEVA and CARB happy just to lose the contract a month later and wind up moving to the midwest. Try not to miss episodes, things always happening so if you miss an episode you'll be wondering as its an ongoing story lol
I'd drive Fancy all day

Go with fancy
Martin ; Definitely Fancy OLD SCHOOL COOL and you know her inside and out- FAMILY
Heck I'd also say drive all three of them rotation is king
Don't want to pay the needed insurance and plate cost to have one as a backup
Fancy, go with Old Reliable, plus the apu will be helpful in the summer.
