I wouldn't recommend them at all. Rather useless in my opinion and they STAIN badly.

susan webber you answered my question. I like them for soups, but I stayed away from chili as I suspect it would stain. I’m thinking that red tint in chili and tomatoes permeates in the plastic.

I have had one for years and have never had a stain? Not sure I have put chili in it. It’s a great size and not heavy. Love it, it’s perfect.

@@SharoninKentucky The only one i wouldn't buy again is the low oblong size so called veg steamer that retains a let over odor no matter how much you clean it and the tiny sized fish steamer which is hard to time right for one small fillet. Thrown them in the bin!

I got one. Don't put soup in it and put it in your bag to take to work. They leak on the lit.
