Don’t be moving at the moment when you are taking the shot. They pause for a split second before their shot which increases their accuracy. Some people A/D strafe and at the point when they swap from one direction to the other, when they are still for that split second, they shoot.

Yeah, I've learned never pocket an ashe unless you've already seen them get a few kills beforehand. Nothing is more of a waste of time than pocketing an Ashe out the gate just to find out they can't make any shots

@Wha Bam The list still makes sense since Ashe can one shot anyway. I never said she had to one shot ANY character. Ana just can't one shot at all. It doesn't count if the enemy is low on health. It doesn't matter if Ashe can only one shot 1 character, she can still one shot.
@Wha Bam Using my logic, it does make sense if you actually think about it. And if it's snipers only, then why is Ashe in the title?
Another thing with Widowmaker: Put the mine out early so you have time to get the cooldown off. If a Genji dashes at you and triggers the first one you can immedietly put out another one, if he triggers that one too that'll kill him.
I would recommend moving if your on console when taking shots if you aren’t confident with aiming you aim with your movement stick

Steven Blount only thing that’s gonna help is play her. Put time in and master aim. The only real tip a vid like this can teach you is target priority.

And being still while sniping as window is a bad tip. That’s an easy way to get killed by another dps.
he says when they can't be lethal or are outside of effective range, it's not a habit that should always work.
Should've added some stuff about the grapple too, I see a lot of lower rank(even other gm's) widows burn that 12 sec cooldown way too early and then when they get dived they can't do shit anymore.

Idn, it became way harder for me to land shots on Hanzo after the speed of his arrows was nerfed to 115 from 125. It feels completely different now

Tips:
-I don't believe in the "Stop moving when you shoot" advice, you can just move your mouse like a genius counter balancing your movement at the same time be it tracking or a flick..
-Actually the first thing you should learn is how to operate on high stake situations.. And there isn't a tip for this one, just gotta play..
-Experience with the hitboxes.. For example did you know that you can headshot a doom while slamming ? You have to aim neck level but a little bit to the right. Knowledge as this trained can burst a quick reaction in you when needed.. Just keep experiencing and training. Don't ever stop thinking ! You only allowed when it starts to come naturaly but until then...
- For widow 1v1's theres a bunch actually, if you wanna be cheeky use your widow mines as a one shot shield, she peeks and shoots hits the mine instead of you, and immediately you fire thru the mine.
- If you know, if you see they have a widow don't jump straight ahead (and actually don't jump) wait for the first 3 encounter to see how it goes, you never wanna peek a corner more then once..
(assuming you and him are equal or him even being faster) if it turns out hes trash, feel okay to have BigDickEnergy, just dump on him.. ofc, you being better means you being smarter ! If you become stupid with you not caring then forget what i just said :I ...
But if hes better then you, meaning faster, more accurate.. Just don't fckn bother with him.. Literally.. The best thing you can do is not interact with him in the normal means, flank or avoid her sights, walk on and keep sights that he can't shoot and peak without giving up something, Just play passive a ( pays off a lot more then you would think) and wait, fight begins, hes in focus, begins to shoot that's when you peak out take a accurate shoot and that's it. Just use your teammates as Widow bait 😂literally..

Honestly was hoping for more out of this guide. It's a bit simple, and seems geared at new players and lower skill tier players.
how to play as a sniper for the 1 shot potential:
1 - switch to Doom
2 - yeet yourself into the enemy
3 - ???
4 - profit
there you go, 1 shot kills, no aim required, plus you'll never die, cause it's Doom so you have basically infinite health compared to other dps (forget Mei, the Devil doesn't count)

Ahh I wish I saw this when I first started, Ashe is my main and the first hero I picked up, I've been playing a lot of hanzo recently but this was still sooo useful for widow because I'm usually scared to pick her up since she feels very different and is imo a lot harder to play/way more punishable so I don't get a lot of practice on her but I will 100% save this video and try her out more often so thank you!
I play hanzo a lot and happened to discover a nifty trick with sonic arrow. If you shoot an enemy, preferably a tank since it won't instantly kill them, with a sonic arrow that enemy then becomes a walking radar for you and your team.
Also hanzo's arrows have a drop. Have to aim a little bit up if you're trying to headshot an enemy at a distance. The farther away your enemy is the higher you have to aim up. A little bit goes a long way.
Another tip for hanzo - his sonic arrow can actually go through shields when you break them. What I do, if they have a Brigitte, is to headshot her with Sonic arrow while she's holding shield up then break her shield. Then your sonic arrow keeps traveling and kills her. It's a safe way to make it a 6v5
As a widow main not moving while taking a shot is prolly one of the worst things u can do if the the enemy team has and Ashe, Widow, or a Hanzo cause not only r u not moving u also need to take into consideration that u need time to connect a shot and if ur not moving while doing that ur and Easy pick for and enemy sniper.

Ashe: Dont bother with headshot unless you're being pocketed or it's for a specific kill combo. (So body shot)

I changed my sens and changed my aim smoothing to 50 and now hitting shot is waaaaay easier.
I used to be an Ashe main and I was really good with her especially with her scoped, I would always hit head shots and kill the enemies... ppl keep saying if u know how to use Ashe,Hanzo or Ana u should play smoothly with widow, but the thing is bc her sniper has to load into 100% to kill someone it’s hard for me to always kill them first shot without getting my kills stolen!!!
If you want to get flick shots easily all you have to do is go in your mouse settings and turn off “enhance pointer precision”.
I think after several videos I will now take the step and try it out to see if it really helps me. I am very excited xD

Tip for widows 1v1 in ranked - when ur peaking, put a venom in front of you on the Wall, and it works like a barrier - enemy widow shoot venom mine, and u easily kill her

I am an Ashe main, really want to know more for Hanzo, but you don't really need a pocket for a 1v1 on the other snipers, Widow and Hanzo have a bit slower movement than Ashe, as for her, she has a way better stagger to go against them

Hanzo. He has more potential to get away from being attacked up close or dived with his lunge. And, don't mean to offend you but silvers might not be the most mechanically skilled, so having something like storm arrow to spam is very useful in anywhere below like, masters. These reasons make Hanzo kinda nutty down in silver. And depending on your personal skill, if you can aim good then Hanzo will definitely be the pick. A lot because of his potential to get picks. See what I did there?

Mews Mews honestly pick whichever feels more comfortable to you. Both of them can dominate in silver for real. Bob is a crazy ultimate when players either aren’t prepared for him or don’t know how to deal with him. He can really save a point in low ranks by contesting it when no one else can get there. And teams tend to bunch up in silver making fat opportunities for dynamite. Hanzo has the ability to one shot, and can bust shields and abuse the tanks that really have no idea how to manage shields well. The dragon strike can really catch enemies off guard too when they aren’t aware of Hanzo’s position. So I mean both of them can be pretty dominant if you can play them well. It’s really whichever feels more comfortable for you
Ashe having no flinch anymore makes playing her way too easy XD

I just hit 90 hours on widow. How many hours do you think it takes to get really good at widow?
Till you get 6k on comp or get to t500
hours aren’t always a representation, because it also depends on your opponents skill level and your familiarity with their hotboxes and mobility. You have 90 hours so i’m certain you already you each character pretty well but as you climb people will also know how widow works too. I’d say around 120 hours is when you would begin to “get really good” sport die to the recognition of movement patterns and the importance of positioning, alongside the repetition of flicks ect helping your over all aim

I'm a garbage sniper myself, but jumping targets are literally free headshots.

I believe Ana doesn't *have* to hit headshots to do work. I mainly play her by hitting bodyshots on teammates and enemies, and switch to a scope once one of my teammates flanks or pushes.
Cause you hate your team more than anyone on the enemy team
Ana can just shoot fast and wherever she wants but with widow you need to wait until her scope reaches 100% and if you miss the headshot then you won’t kill them as fast

I'm masters and a widow main, i have a very good tip tip for when ppl couch spam and go left and right, just simply go for body shots and aim mainly at the feet cuz if u aim at their feet they can't dodge ur shots by using couch spam, once u hit ur shot simply spray with ur primary as they would be low as 80 HP, i don't get y ppl go for head shots.
Cause going for headshots has a higher skill cap

What does pocket mean
I wanna learn how to use widow effectively but I never get to play her without someone auto locking her, or being harassed for picking her in the first place. There have been times where I got her in mystery heroes and was actually able to land a few headshots and help my team but my aim isn't constantly good with her because I don't pick her. If I don't get enough damage in, I'll lose patience and switch so I won't cost the game for my team. Does anyone know a good way I can practice with her without messing up any matches?
Edit: I don't even bother with hanzo. I can't hit shit with him unless I aim randomly and get lucky lmao. Ash is the only sniper I can play well and get enough damage and picks with but I heard she isn't a good choice for comp
