- At the start of the 7th Sino-German intergovernmental consultations, the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, Li Qiang, was received with military honours by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the Federal Chancellery. The video shows the arrival of the honor post, the entry of the honor formation, the greeting of the Federal Chancellor by the guard battalion, a birthday congratulation by the Federal Chancellor, the arrival of the guest, the national anthems, the march of the honor formation and the march out of the honor formation and the honor post. The honor company is provided by the 3rd company (army) of the guard battalion under the leadership of Major Wolfram. It is played by the Bundeswehr Staff Music Corps under the direction of Captain Kolodziej.

More and more countries are pivoting towards common sense and pragmatism with the main objective of taking care of their own interests first and not be overly influenced and dictated by outsiders. Germany is no exception, very wise move when you know who is helping you to put bread on your table while the others are instigators and trouble makers out to steal your bread, best is to keep a far distance from.
German marching music as well as German marching formations have historically been unique and to the tee. It must be that Prussian influence. Well done, Germany.
It is 100% ly Prussian by book. The march looks different as the only line infantry is goose-stepping.
I worked for a German company for 15 years in China and used to talk with German colleagues every day. even though I migrated to the U.S. quite a few years, my English still has a little bit of a German accent...LoL

实话实说， 他们仪仗队对中国国歌的演奏， 几乎完全忠于国内的版本， 管乐部分除了小号的高音号曲谱听起来， 我猜， 应该是换成了短号，其他长号， 次中音， 黑管和长笛的声部， 乐谱和国内用的是完全一样的， 算是中国人听起来很顺耳的吗不突兀的版本， 也是有心了。

Die zivilen Sicherheitskräfte gehören zum BKA. Glaube kaum, dass da eine Kurzdoku möglich/gewünscht ist. Dass es diesmal mehr Kräfte als sonst waren, war mir nicht bewusst aufgefallen. Es war aber auch deutlich mehr Hauptstadt- und Begleitpresse vor Ort als sonst.

what is this army routine called? where they do stuff with rifles with the command of the officer.
It's called military honours. While taking up the rifles they turn it in a way the guest can see that it is unloaded. It's a sign of peacefull ambitions.

Not an impressive looking band, not like the marching band of WWII. The green beret looks frumpy informal, the grey uniform looks uncolorful, and the march isn't crisp. But the band played the Chinese anthem quite well, as the Germans are well known for music. Undoubtedly, the Germans believe that Li Quiang might be the next Chinese President someday in a few years. The Germans made sure not to trash someone else's anthem like the way the Saudi Band did to the visiting Russian President. It was nice of the two President bowing to the band. I've never seen that respect shown before.
Please make a right choice. Leave behind the zero sum or winner-take-all (American) game and go ahead with China a win-win cooperative game.
Where is the win for unity and justice and freedom? What about all of those people oppressed in China? What about the government deputizing communities to poorly treat Uyghur Muslims?
