This has always been my favorite and most played song off the Repo Man soundtrack. I cant listen to it just once...it gets repeated at least 5 times before i move on.
It's just so good and I concur completely. It's grabs you, makes you want to move and sounds so happy despite what I think are sober lyrics, truly original song in style and substance. I still love TV Party and When the shit hits the fan but this is the real gem on that awesome soundtrack.
Ive been jamming to this tune nearly 40 years, and only now have the language skills to understand, and i wanna know if he found the place of his cross? What a song. An quintessential presence in what i think may be the best soundtrack of the 1980s. Paz y amor, hombres! Punk af.
ANYONE OUT THERE know of any other MUSIC LIKE THIS to find and listen to??? Even The Plugz never made another song like this one!!! IT RULES!!!!!!!!!!!
I introduce you, to ska. A lot of two tone ska sounds like this but some 3rd wave ska gets this sound (Inspector, Matamoska, and a few Mustard Plug songs)
This songs about some homies who hang out and talk about being poor and listen to a guy named the Nail who speaks with his hands (probably deaf…) they are Jesus’s children and they sing and wander around in the dark looking for a spot for their cross
This and Becks Que onda guero makes me feel like we could work it out without having to take America back from the people it originally belonged to in a manner for which we would all be a multilingual family nation…
The life of a Repo Man is always intense.
And there ain't a repo man I know that don't do speed.
It was the nicest car on the lot!
Yup
Say you're thinking about a plate of shrimp, right?
I just need to get both of my cars out of this bad neighborhood.
That was the best car on the lot!

Buscando sin luz
El lugar de su cruz
De su cruz, de su cruz

loved it since the first time I heard it. in 81
In the Tarantino world, when George Clooney sez, "Let's kill that fkn band" it just about sums up the corporate reaction to the Plugz.
They have that Minute Men punk sound.
No doubt D Boon ate this up!! 👍

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are pretty good
If you mean non-cookie cutter punk from this era I would suggest the Big Boys and the Brat.
There was a great Hispanic punk rock album I had called “Los Punkeros” lots of music and band including “The Plugz”. Great compilation.
The zeros
