I live in Oxnard and I gotta agree with you the beaches here are beautiful. Downtown Victorian area home have their history. I do recommend that you go out to places like thousand oaks, Camarillo and visit some of the Hispanic/Latino culture that is found in Oxnard.
. . They have less, don’t they? I rarely go out there and manage NOT to hear someone bad mouthing Oxnard for this very reason- we have a MASSIVE culture out here, but it’s hard to see from the gentrified-oasis that is Riverpark
It is rather expensive, probably because of the temperate weather. 30 minute drive in any of the 3 directions from the Oxnard plain, temperatures are higher from 10 to 25 degrees. Interestingly, Oxnard has stretches of beach to the south and to the west.

My cousin and her husband live in - Oxnard. I visited them some years ago and did not want to leave but I had to go back to work. A peaceful place. Hopefully, I will be returning soon. Retirement. I do not think I'm coming back to the state I live in this time. 🙂
As a local, I appreciate that we are showing a beautiful scenery. Just show the more authentic side of us. Show everyone our food, our festivals, our culture.
Lol I love watching how other people enjoy my hometown. I don’t even visit a lot of these places anymore, but that’s cool. It really is beautiful. Oxnard used to be mostly strawberry fields when I was a kid. It’s really grown in the last 20 years.
Same here. May I know why you're relocating? For me, I'm just sick of the Midwest 40-50 degrees temperature swings plus it's getting colder year after year.
I was raised in Oxnard and currently live out of the US. It's been 8 years so I really want to visit and see what has changed over the years very soon! Miss the beaches soooo much!
It's such a gem and has such peaceful atmosphere for a beach town compared to the other cities. I've lived in California too for a long time and it was my first time staying at a white water view hotel here.
After a multi-million dollar renovation, it's about to reopen under Hilton's Curio boutique brand: Zachari Dunes opening Fall 2022! We hope you'll check it out 😎🌴🌊
My ex was stationed in the navy there in 1977. I lived there right on the beach. Silver strand, I think was its name...dang. a long long time ago. I loved that beach.
I live about 8 mins away from Silver Strand. It's my favorite beach. The "Wall" parking has been closed for some time now, but one can park on the street & walk a couple steps to the sand & surf. I've lived in Oxnard since 1990. 😊
Haha one thing I don’t like about Oxnard is that even though it’s a pretty populated city, the beaches and touristy spots to visit are usually very lonely which gives it a deserted, abandoned feel for me, but you guys seem to like it.
Dam i was born in Ventura but lived in Oxnard my whole life i moved to North Carolina about 14 years ago and have not been back i do miss living there maybe one day i will be able to visit
I like Oxnard me and my Sister go every year for Training camp to see the Dallas Cowboy's there we're from the Central Valley when we go we take a Big box of Nature's plums and Peaches to my Aunt's house can't wait to go back this Year 2023
I’ve lived in Oxnard all my life. I used to go to the beaches often as a kid, but not so much as an adult. I definitely wouldn’t go there alone as there have been some ‘incidents’ like robberies and car break ins. The rest of Oxnard is OK. Definitely not crowded like Los Angeles and the weather is amazing all year. My favorite time of day is when the huge fog banks roll in late afternoon from the beach. I just love it.
I've lived in Oxnard 20+ years. Still catch the sunsets & walk on the beach even after the sun is pretty much gone & dark. I go to Silver Strand as it is about 8 mins away, but do love going to Port Hueneme & Hollywood Beach too. And yes! Vallarta is a great store. It is 2 blocks away from where I live. 😊
Lol I live in oxnard and its weather is my favorite part and next time you go I do Reccomend topperz it's my favorite pizza of all time I would say it could top New York
When you live here and you hope they show you something new because you are bored as hell but nope, it's an ad for the beach hotel and just the beach or drinking. 🤦🏻♀️
Back in 2014 a mysterious sound roared so loud that people were running off of the beach. It sounded like a jet engine but the source was nowhere to be found. It was as if it was just over the ocean. It lasted about 45 seconds getting louder and louder after starting at an already impossibly loud decibel. I held my ears and waited it out. Later we heard an explosion happened at the Edison plant. That was no explosion.

Yes they need more things to do like on weekends at the beach should be like Venice but more nice 😂
Its boring AF. It's like a zombie apocalypse cleared out the town. I hated it.

Born and raised so my go-to is Vallarta 😭🥲
Also Hueneme beach for a dose of PTSD 😭😭🥲 no body knows about this beach do they? I can’t help but recall the line from The Stones- Shattered

I’m visiting in 2 weeks 🤪
Hope you had the best time ever!

Definitely!!
I lived there years ago with my aunt's ❤❤
😂 I know a guy named oxhorn who would love this place for a vacation day.
WOW! The sand moved up. So different then I remember.
Nice!

My ex was stationed at port Hueneme in 1977. Wow. Isn't that navy base gone now?
Average temperature is in 60s
Great work
Thank you so much 😀

Do I need license for kayak

Bunk..they did not even hit the Blvd.
Born and raised….According to James Charles we are in the middle of nowhere
James Charles is a nobody.
Cant see half of the video 😕
Why?
You forgot to mention the black tar that's in that beach. I worked for embassy suite, and that's a huge problem. Let's be honest
Oxnard is super dangerous even at the beaches I wouldn’t recommend going it’s still very active in that city
Not that many people because the weather sucks. Too windy
Lose the germ diaper, be a man,
Awesome 🤗🤗🤗💕
