Unfortunately, I know exactly what the dropping of the popcorn was from. This project has inspired me to make my dream black fall dress. Glad I just found this channel!
Step 6 should be mandatory because One should always be happy to be done with the dreaded tucks..pleats.. whatever. Also awesome video going to go watch more of yours soon!
Stupendous! Oof, I loved the dress, I loved the idea, I loved the presentation, the storytelling and the execution. The whole dress is great and quite inspiring to later take some ideas for my own next projects, but I must give compliments on the video itself! Had no idea you were not yet a channel with hundreds of thousands of subscribers while watching the video, and after discovering that, felt the urge to comment. The editing, the cinematography, the narration are so absolutely pleasant. Thank you. Here's to more great work, and great rewards!
what a gorgeous dress. love the complete outfit too (including those glasses!). I can only guess how much time it took to do all those pleats, but in my opinion it was totally worth it! (and the fabric you chose is perfect too I think 😍)
Fantastic! A counter-intuitive sewing thing, but a tighter armscye (combined with a long enough sleeve, of course!) actually gives you a bigger range of movement without any upward movement hoicking your entire blouse upwards. When you raise your arms with a big armscye your sleeve pulls on a point farther down the side seam, making the entire garment move upwards.
Aziraphael, my companion, a black tortie feline, is likely quite indifferent about you entertaining me while they've used me as a comfy hang out. But I am appreciative of your efforts.
i never would've guessed that's how you do insertion lace. this is a fantastic tutorial!

Loved it! I had NO idea that edwardians dresses were so complicated, so much work but it truly paid off! Gorgeous!
Ahhh, this is so fabulous!
I feel like actual Edwardian seamstresses would have also done a fair amount of "winging it." 😛
Yes. Definitely 😆
Haven't you ever seen the inside of Edwardian clothes?
