Terry...This is great footage. It's great to see some track bike action on steep climbs! I'm out here by Denver; nothing better than doing serious climbs on the track bike! It's all roadies out here, professionals come here to train. I went to the local shop to have wheels built cuz I am not able to do so, and I got mad comments like: "oh is that supposed to be a track bike?", "Do you ride on a velodrome or something?? Then why do you have it?" I'm like: "One, cuz it gets me around. Two, because it's an experience like no other. Three, because I grew up in Chicago and was a messenger and it kept me going all year/all weather with maintenance I could manage on my own...Then moved out here and fell even more in love with this type of riding." When you were in SF, were you also riding track bikes? PLEASE DROP SOME MORE FOOTAGE LIKE THIS that can hopefully bring awareness to folks that track bikes aren't just for the velo. or urban riding...We gets down EVERYWHERE! There's almost ZERO community around here...and really only the local mechanics understand and appreciate the happiness building up a simple bike with nice components can bring one...without the 'Fixie/Urban S.S. Flash'. Be easy.

I get that he’s on a fixie, but I don’t understand how he’s keeping so much momentum is most of this road slowly at a downhill grade because the did not pearl from 2:00-4:48 and I think the longest I’ve ever went down hill not pedaling is about 45 seconds until I have to start agin no matter how fast I was going before. Maybe someone could explain his constant velocity.

Fixed gear momentum plus any bike should continue rolling if you're going downhill, you might not be running high enough pressure or something might be rubbing

Man, I live in CDMX and I'm the most boring slow and safe commuter cyclist in the whole city, and I believe in respecting traffic rules. But omg I profoundly respect and admire that freakin awesome way of riding and owning the asphalt
