Played this game for more than 10 years. It IS still an amazing game/simulator. The paper manual is outstanding. Thanks to the creators of this humble piece of software!
The way that the ALARM works in indirect mode reminds me a bit of how anti-submarine missiles work, but entirely in the air and with two different flight modes
Great vid! I've been recently interested in these retro simulators, it's fascinating to see how the devs managed to pack complex systems of the jet to such neat, 90s PC-friendly package
Never flown this sim. Flying at ten feet before dropping a cluster bomb and flying back to a Michelin Star RAF restaurant never seemed very appealing. Good video, though.
I always hated Loft mode, you almost always hit nothing. Accuracy really gets fishy when going with the nose above horizon line, so if i use gpb in lay down mode, unguided and not retarded, it's from high above and slow (well out of range of SAM) pointing downwards at ca. 45°, with 2 bombs it's nearly as precise as LGB (maybe low wind speeds will help).

one of the best combat flight sims ever created - call me crazy, but sims like these i still prefer so much over DCS
