I think its a crazy time for MMA, most of the fighters we know and love are showing their age, Guys like Thiago are the "new breed". I think with a win over Machida, he MAY be ready for a title shot. And im so glad he shut Houston Alexander down.
I'm torn, I like em both, Machida & Silva. Very different fighters and very good in their own areas. Not really had two of my favourite fighters in a match like this, so.......
Thiago's a great fighter but why does every fighter he faces think he is hurt when he falls over from the first punch or kick?? They follow him to the ground and gets locked up, mounted and outed - almost every fight. I think he is quite slow in stand up and if he can bang with another slow fighter then he will stand but someone could end up doing what Florian did to Huerta on him if they can move. He is mates and I think business partners with A Silva and Machida so no fights there ;-(
yea haha i feel you i love brandon vera hes my 2nd fav light heavy weight lol but he got robbed against couture and cnt get a good enough win streak too be considered great... idk bout lil nog he does train with great fighters but idk i dnt see him beating anyone in the top 5 of the lhw division lol... james irvin should come back and fight him hahahahhaah
@saintpk Silva is a very common name in Brazil, like Smith in USA, and Tiago is James in Portuguese, How many JIm (or) Smith's exist in English spoken countries ... hehehe. And don't you forget brazilian fighters rule in MMA world scenario !!!

If u wana c guys just throw watch boxing.. this is mma and wrestling is an integral part of the sport and happens to be a glaring weakness in thiago's game. I dont even dislike thiago, but face it he got tossed around like a little girl for those first two rounds and is never going to be a genuine threat to the title with guys like shogun/machida/vera/lil nog around

Lol lot more than that every time rashad initiated clinch he got caught cleanly and yes ia gree wrestling is rlly important and rashad clearly dominated him there... however he made me mad in his interviews sayin that he was gonna go to middle of octagon and throw lol... and dont u dare mention vera lil nog in title competition.. i love vera but hes mediocre.. lil nog sucks he has 1 win in ufc over LUIS CANE ...in pride he did beat some of the greats but so did mirko.. see how that turned out?
