Thanks for another great video Aaron. I learn from everything you put out here. $45.00 is bad cheap for the knowledge you share and that tig button....That's a friggin game changer right there. I love that thing !!
Wow thanks for the great info. I am on to my next chapter in life and really want fabricate aluminum like you. I think I will buy your course and start obsessing over the techniques
i joined his website and my welds are phenomenal !! It is very simple as long as you follow his directions to the letter. One 5tip i will give anyone is you must be in a comfortable position to do great welds. Once i achieved this my welds are 90% like his. Also ditch the pedal and get the tig button, its a back saver !!!
Nice sir! new things added on my knowledge. though i don't really weld thick Alu. most of the time i weld 1.5-5mm thick Alu i learn stuff here also by watching your videos. Thank Sir.
Aaron, thanks for putting all these videos together. Are you planning on updating and/or adding more videos to the Educational Library as time goes on, or is it complete at this point? Thanks.
I'm running a 225x with the watercooler and flex-loc water-cooled torch with welding aluminum I've been running mine at 200hz for welding turbo tubes and anything up to 1/8 thickness I find it easier to get in there and get it done before I heat it up to much. Would that something like you would do? Or am I looking at possible failures in my welds? Thanks for the update and great content enjoy your channel always good info... 😊😊😊
On thick to thinner aluminum such as 1/2" to 3/16" or 5/8" to 1/4" I often throw the thicker part on a hot plate for a little while if I'm stuck using a 250 amp machine.
Always try to weld in a well ventilated area with fresh air. If that's not an option, there are expensive welding hood systems available with a fresh air supply. I have an exhaust fan in my shop that pulls air/smoke out above my welding table. I crack the window at the end of my shop to let in fresh air.
I have to do a test for a qualification at work. It’s an aluminum fillet. 6x6 .060 base plate to a .025 top plate. No burn through or suck back permitted and lack of fusion in the root can’t be greater than .003. If you can do a video on that and how you’d weld it that’d be great 😂
Absolutely. Some people buy a smaller machine and regret it (especially for aluminum welding) use the code "6061" to save a few bucks if you decide to order one directly from their website: primeweld.com
6061....building big doors where i work....4043.......print called out plug welds....you should make a video about getting correct penetration while performing a plug weld.
I will guarantee that the $45 will give you more education than any other welding training you could possibly get from RUclips. My investment in the training, time and materials allowed me to make 500x in my first 6 months. Trust me when I say it made me very very good with aluminum welding projects.
I have the same welder and have done a fillet in the past and could not get a puddle to form. I tried pre heating and just heat soaking, went up in tungsten size, tried different grind angles, different cup sizes, adjusting frequency, ac balance, Nothing seemed to work. It was an 8ft piece of 3/8 aluminum angle that i was welding a piece of 1/4 flat bar to. Couldn't puddle on the angle to save my life...
@nathancole8188 Please email me with the exact dimensions of the aluminum angle (leg lengths), and exactly where you were trying to weld the 1/4" flat bar.

Loved your comment about freaking out over not full penetration, so often like you said, it depends on what your making!
I don't weld and have never tried but it definitely looks like a fine art and I love watching your videos ✌️
Love from the UK ✌️
Welding cans together seems like a great idea for free practice. Thanks!
Awesome channel and the work you put in to help the next guy learn the trade! Well done to you sir. 👍

Excellent work... Thanks for sharing.
What's your power source for your welders? Aren't you operating out of a semi truck? Ive always wondered since you "moved"
Nice video welding aluminum

Crispy glove territory. Very nice.
Damn good welder, thanks for inspiring us buddy
Please tell us about lung and respiratory protection when TIG welding aluminum, stainless steel and steel!
I understand this is a newbie question :)

@@6061 we use 2091 filters for a 3m mask since our company cannot afford expensive hoods.
Always great to see your content. Thanks!

Email me the specifics through the website. Metal type, etc...
Thanks you . Looking forward to practicing your techniques.
Wow! Awesome vid and weld bud. I'm buying my first tig. Only ever mig welded. Would you reccomend the 325 for a beginner? Thanks.
Absolutely. Some people buy a smaller machine and regret it (especially for aluminum welding)

When the weld cools did it open up the angle between the parts to greater than 90?
When do you prefer to use a mix gas when welding with aluminum?
When sealing parts are welded, do you get it right the first time?
Super great ad Arron . I'm in Brother . :)
Great video as always!!!

what about porosity at the beginning and tack joints?
Nice 👏 😊
Are you using the 225 with water cooler or without?
Without. Just using an air cooled torch in this video to replicate exactly what he was using.

Beautiful
Will your Tig button work on my Andeli Tig 250pro?
No, sorry. The list of compatible machines is on the bottom of this page:
www.6061.com/tigbutton.htm
Did you pre-heat the material?
No
Would this work if you’re right handed?
