    I miss Gallo on the Knicks man, he's way better than trash Bargnani. MSG was louder here than it is now. Dolan messed everything up smh.

    This team had so much heart man. Should have left the team the way it was with a core of young players with Amar'e leading them to victory. Melo would've came in the offseason.

      This Team was soft as fuck and below 500 stop if fam..

    • @ANTBOND004
      @ANTBOND004 10 лет назад +7

      They weren't below .500 are you nuts? They were the only team that was beating the Bulls, Heat, and they were young. That's the way a team should build. Not all this mid-season trading for All-Star bullshit

    • @ChangGangy
      @ChangGangy 10 лет назад +1

      ANTBOND004 Lmao if this team stayed together it'd be Fields who is not even an average player anymore Felton who we have and is pretty good but not gonna be our second scorer consistently and Amare who was at a high level then but he broke down the last couple years. The only player I miss is Gallo. And we had the option to keep him or Fields with Melo and made the wrong choice I think. Anyways Melo isn't the problem so stop with that.

    • @ChangGangy
      @ChangGangy 10 лет назад +1

      The2Packaveli Btw Amare is still good but is not gonna lead us to victory now a days not a great defender and gets in foul trouble easily

    I’d show this video to top tier free agents if I were the knicks. Look how excited and loud knicks fans were to have a decent basketball team. Imagine if they signed a star or two? The garden would be going crazy every night! And the support for the team would be unreal

    I hated that they gave up Gallo man. Felton Spencer was a dam good point guard, but in my lifetime, The Knicks have never had a point guard for a long time. Even during The Ewing days it seemed The Knicks changed PG's every other year

  • @hcrtoothy
    @hcrtoothy 12 лет назад +1

    Carmelo is being the player that he was in the Nuggets. Nothing more nothing less. Might as well get rid of Stoudemire or put him in the bench because he isn't going to get the ball that often.
    If you have noticed anything, although the team has been winning as of late, Carmelo is still ballhogging hard and the onyl time other players get shots is when he is cold or isn't doing anything. Hence why JR, Novak and others can get points.

    Felton was the best Knicks PG in the last decade. Better than Charlie Ward, Chris Childs, Stephon Marbury, Chris Duhon, and-yes-even Jeremy Lin. He brings so much energy and flow to the offense, can shoot, and can penetrate. If Carmelo comes back and it doesn't work out, they should find a way to get Felton, Chandler, and Gallinari back. The Knicks would be unstoppable with this incredible offense, and their newly developed defense.

  • @jazzalex22

    Raymond Felton is coming back to New York. I wonder how he's gonna gel with Melo. Amare actually tweeted a million times last year that he missed Felton and wanted him back as the point guard, Amare's wish came true. New York is gonna be right up there with Miami and Boston next year since Felton has come back.

    @AJVersatility19 We need a LOT more than just a big man. We also drafted Jerome Jordan and Josh Harrellson, and Donnie Walsh is reportedly grabbing Jeff Foster, so that solves that. We need depth. We need a backup PF and SF to come off the bench and help keep the scoring going, we need, a backup SG to ease the load off of Landry too. I see Andy Rautins getting some minutes because of how well he played this summer. I also see Grunwald picking up JJ Barea, Shawne Williams and Kenyon Martin

    dude, this comment really bit you in the ass. jeremy lin had an average season in Houston while raymond felton (who is very athletic) not only led the knicks in a 54 win season but also to 3 wins over the heat, one of which he lead directly WITHOUT melo OR stoudemire

  • @hcrtoothy
    @hcrtoothy 12 лет назад

    Lol you're kidding me right? Kidd when he won the Finals was averaging 7.9 PPG, 8.2 APG and shooting .870% at the FT line. 2012, he only averaged 6.2 PPG, 5.5 RPG and .786% at the FT line. Now the shortened season is partially an excuse but surely someone of Kidd's caliber should still be able to run as you say right? Now, how does the Knicks play with a decayed and ready to retire Kidd who is nothing but close to a paperweight and mentor now for the team over youth and potential?

  • @spanishsupafly
    @spanishsupafly 12 лет назад

    maybe a change of coach and having kidd will change that. kidd knows how to run a team... he doesnt bend to some other players whim just because. stoudemire can now become a factor.

  • @nycsultan1

    @hcrtoothy I'm not a fan of Melo, but when you can land a superstar, you make it happen. It's much, much easier to put the supporting cast together than it is land a franchise player. Also, both Knicks teams, pre-melo and post-melo were were really about the same record wise. The Knicks have something to build around now, let's see what happens.

  • @Harker911
    @Harker911 12 лет назад

    @AJVersatility19 No one loved Gallo as much as I did. Underrated defender, good passer, great outside shooter and very nifty all-around player with a ceiling to become a franchise player, though his mid-range game was suspect. Raymond, to me, is a second-tier PG. Very good player. Tough and talented. Wilson Chandler was a good defender and coming into his own. Mozgov was becoming a better offensive player and coming into his own on a defense.

    @Patrock96 J-Lin has always had this talent but the teams just never took the opportunity to let him show it. It's honestly just sad how the Rockets and Warriors didn't even give him a chance.
    I'm proud to say that at least it was in New York. As much as I hate the Knicks because they are just so bad all the time, I'm only proud of him making his breakthrough performance to prove everyone wrong in a stadium with a HUGE amount of people.

    @bronxrell 12 лет назад

    @hcrtoothy You said that team actually had defense prior to the trade, they were giving up about 105ppg and teams shot high percentages against them so idk what defense you saw lol. Look they had chemistry and no doubt the trade kind of made things difficult, but people act as if the Knicks had a great team before the trade. They weren't going anywhere far in the playoffs with the old team, and the only reason why the Knicks aint win in the playoffs was cause of the injuries.

  • @hcrtoothy
    @hcrtoothy 12 лет назад

    @bronxrell They didn't play any defense? They had defensive players am I not correct? Wilson Chandler? Felton? Gallinari? I do believe that Gal-o is doing very well at the moment coming from that injury. I do believe that Chandler had a LOT of potential. Felton has a lot of potential and he was a BEAST with Amar'e coming off the pick and roll. And the 3 of them knew how to play defense as well. I still don't understand why you look at the bad aspects when team chemistry was still bad...

    I'm sorry but that's where I have to disagree with you.
    Iverson? He wasn't a cancer to any team. He only had one wish and that was to play basketball until he died. The guy was dedicated to the game and he wanted to play his heart out. There's nothing wrong with that.
    Do not penalize him for his major family troubles getting in his way. Do not put his family troubles as a reason for him becoming a cancer. The problems in his life caused him to go through troubled times which made him sad

  • @hcrtoothy
    @hcrtoothy 12 лет назад

    Kidd is old and should've retired after he won the championship with Dirk. He can't run anymore. He just isn't what he used to be anymore and is pretty much a deadweight now. The only he could do now is just help Felton get the PG position down better. Stoudemire can now become a factor? How so? After working with Hakeem? He doesn't NEED OFFENSE. He needs to learn how to play defense. That's the biggest factor with this team. NO DEFENSE is ever played.

  • @hcrtoothy
    @hcrtoothy 12 лет назад

    @knicksandgiants I personally do not have a favorite team. I like individual players on different teams. The only team that I would support would be the New Jersey Nets because I live in New Jersey and i've always watched their games. Although they suck, I still cheer them on.
    But again, I don't have a specific team I like, I just support different players and like different players.

His heart is far greater and he has the experience to not get rattled by Wade and Chalmers trapping

  • @AJVersatility19

    I hate the direction the league is going with these teaming up bullshit. Now CP and Deron Williams want to play with Dwight. Everyone wants to be on the same team. Dallas showed that with one superstar, a defensive anchor and dedicated role players, you will win a ring. And I stand by that, the knicks before the Melo trade coulda won a ring if they filled the gaps they were missing. I feel really bad for Gallo, Ray and Wil. They played their hardest in NY just to be baits for Melo.

  • @Harker911
    @Harker911 12 лет назад

    @Harker911 halfway thru the season. It was the same argument for crawford and Randolph... Not... Goood. Enough in the playoffs. You can't have Amar'e take on almost everything... I think a lot of Knick fans forget how how and COLD--emphasis on COLD-- they were with that team. With Melo, Amar'e Billups or a different PG (don't think chris or deron is coming), you can build a team now with a legit Center and a good PG and a solid shooter. This team, if built correctly, has greater

    @HoodStyles2 Regardless of what Denver ended up losing, that doesn't take away from what WE lost. Just because they lost their players doesn't mean we gained ours. It just means they ended up worse than us. With Raymond on the team, and Stat, we did NOT need Melo. We needed a big man. Just like this season we do NOT need Chris Paul, we need a big man, it seems like nobody cares about what the Knicks' actual problem is. This trade fucked us up and we got ways to go from here.

    @DRAMAKIN9 The players we had before the trade played with hustle and heart. Melo literally brings zero on the defensive end. Unlike Galo and Wil who were pretty darn good defensive players. Mozgov might not have been Dwight Howard, but he had promise. I don't see why everyone's so hyped up about Melo, he's been the exact same player the last 7 years. Wtf are we really looking at? I liked the team before the trade. But ever since Boston and Miami everyone feels like we NEED 3 superstars to win.

    @knicksandgiants I"m not a knicks fan, but that was a horrible trade for the Knicks. Trading away almost 3/4's of their team to get Carmelo and Billups. Caused more harm than good for the Knicks.
    The Knicks, PRIOR to the Carmelo trade actually was very strong and could've made it past the second round possibly. That team actually had defense...

  • @AJVersatility19
    @AJVersatility19 12 лет назад

    @Harker911 What we had in NY was a foundation. You can't tell me that from that one season, in which half of that foundation didn't even have a chance to show their playoff play, you were able to deduce that that team was a waste. They never even had a chance. They has promise. Idk what the NBA has done to you and other. But it takes a loooong time to win. And all this win now mentality is going to backfire on many teams.

    Felton is a proven player. Who struggled with overweight problems and is not very athletic or is THAT good of a PG. How is Lin a flash in the pan. He's a great player who can put up numbers and just needs some help that's it. Kidd will help but won't be helping as much as they think he would. Better a mentor than anything and Felton isn't as good as Lin.

It's obvious him and Durant can't play together, but the team is willing to wait a while more. I bet you'd get rid of Russel Westbrook for CP in a minute if a surething like CP was coming. But OKC said NO to NO. They're going to stick with that team for a long time and watch them win before any of the other teams.
