Imagine in chapter 2, Kris uses a weapon called the Real Sword, it does tremendous damage and can actually kill enemies because kris is using a knife, not a pencil. Perhaps thats why nobody could be killed in Deltarune, Kris wasn't using an actual weapon, only a pencil. Edit: Also, The Real Sword would also be silver instead of yellow, mainly because Kris is using a silver dagger rather than a yellow pencil Edit 2: Thank you all for the nice replies!
