Paul G Johnson No, as usual health issues stopped me. Off up to Wathendlath today which is a shorter run, formatted a card I did there last week so going to try to retake? But on A/L this week and hoping for at least 3 trips out, but I may be being a little over optimistic.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Paul. Three to go I believe... My personal favorite was the 25 sec. beneath the pier using the "rust filter" ( never heard of that one ) & a 10 stop I think... It felt like I was looking down a tunnel to infinity... The various compositions taken is what makes your style of shooting so enjoyable to watch... Wart's n all... I have spent at least several hrs. researching the NISI filter system & have concluded that I am 90% certain this is the route I will go... I have available to me a nice starter kit to get me started on this & it incl. the " All In One Case "... The beauty of NISI, it is ALL optical glass, considerably less components involved, compared to the Lee system, high quality stds., not a lot of reviews on them, surprisingly... The kit will provide me with a 100 X 150 mm soft edge grad 0.9 ( 3 stops ), 100 X 100 mm ND 1.8 ( 6 stops ) & a 100 X 100 mm ND 3.0 ( 10 stops ), all 2 mm thick optical glass. Buying it as a kit saves me $77.00 & change, versus doing it separately... $629.99 versus a Lee set-up at close to a $1000.00... I simply have to figure out how I am going to strap it to my LowePro AW400 Fireside pack... LOL... Bill... :-)
Hi Paul - very impressed with all you are doing on here. As I said in my text it looks like you live under the pier at Southwold. Keep it going - I knew my son-in-law was clever ( getting Andrea off my hands helped ) but this really is very good stuff and you know I am no fan of vloggers in general, probably an age thing I know. The videos are great and not punctuated with "what's up guys" all the time - don't you dare - and the images put mine to shame. Can't wait for the next ones
Thanks Owen, that was shot with the phantom 4 (now sold). I now have a mavic pro as it packs up small for carrying. I am very wary about using it if people are about as I don't want to disturb peoples enjoyment of the countryside. Both the 4 and the pro are great and surprisingly quiet.
Hi Joao . Thanks for your comment. I got to the location just after sunrise and stayed for about two hours. Due to the time of the year the sun stays low in the sky at this location. Other than the pier and the beach huts there wasn't a lot of focal interest to use as a back drop against the sea. The sky wasn't doing much so once i got the shots i was after i left.

You have lost your suffolk accent ( :
Great video as always, I see you bought (or borrowed) a drone, very tempted to get one myself!

Hi Paul! Nice place, and some nice images. By the way, your link to your website doesn't work for me. I guess there is a "." dot missing. 😉
Hi Thanks Heinz. I'll check the link , appreciate you letting me know.
Paul G Johnson no problem! Was looking for "about me" from you. Or is there a video to get to know you a bit? ☺️
It's next on my list to do :) I will update the about me section too.
