Most people will just put one or two frames up for the duration but yours really helped keep track of where you were in the video. Yes, that definitely is 2013 Mitch! You haven't even scratched the surface of Mitch-looks yet 😆 I'm fond of 2012 goatee, 2014 hipster, 2015 emo and 2016 punk Mitch. There are only 2 PTX videos where you can catch 2016 bald Mitch between punk Mitch and 2017 fringe-bangs Mitch... and on and on... This is definitely the video to mention how they didn't even know where they were headed. Daft Punk was not only their first Grammy, the video going viral is what got them their record deal with RCA. They'd had hits before that qualified as viral, but this is what really opened doors.
They did one other EDM song called Love Again. It is not quite as fast as Daft Punk medley, but is a complete original and has a really interesting texture and some good contrast between sections. The beatboxing is really good and Avi's complementary bass work is really well integrated with the beatboxing.
They are open about the fact that they use studio magic (reverb, double tracking, layering, etc) in the audio for many of their songs. They also usually record separately. However, they are always able to do excellent live concert versions of their songs.
Beatboxing comes from the rythmn section (Kevin and Avi together). The term was changed at the ICCAs to award it to Avi as a vocal bass before he was in Pentatonix. It has been awarded one other time to a bass instead of a vocal percussionist in 2017. If you watch the video when the wind sound is being made watch Avi he's doing it. Mitch and Scott have some awesome tunes in their group Superfruit, (not acapella), Mitch has done some of his own stuff with Messer, Kevin has his own stuff, Kirsten has been on Broadway. They're incredibly gifted artists. I would love you to react to their way back (so young) cover of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. They RAP and Mitch has a super super HIGH run in it!
They were so young then! Mitch dropped a lot of weight and often changes his look. Kirsty changes her hair colour and style plus in later years she has had some minor cosmetic work - lip fillers and so on. Kevin, Mitch and Kirsty sometimes wear glasses. Avi’s hair and beard grow ever longer and Kevin’s hair grows higher. But it’s been 10 years since they started - change is inevitable. Great reaction, by the way!

That whistle with the bass is actually Avi playing with overtones...it's the ability to sing 2 notes simultaneously, very common in Mongolia and Russia, and mostly heard as a whistle tone.

Yeah, they didn't know how far they would go then, but they mostly stayed together, and they called their last originals album "The Lucky Ones." As if luck instead of persistence, hard work, and complete unselfish dedication would get them a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, which they and the Jonas Brothers will get next March! Yes....you are right...they use boxes a lot. During the pandemic they had their own home studios and used boxes a lot during that time.
Seems I've seen the boxes a time or two also. I like it. The camera panning around doesn't catch what they are doing at all times. The boxes allows us to really see what each singer is doing. The couch videos do too. Love Gold for that reason.

PTX are masters of timing, precision, and control, as well as dynamics and emotions. Certainly for this and for the pandemic lockdown videos, they use the boxes - I just recalled that Attention also uses the boxes. The Trio - Scott, Kirstin, and Mitch, friends since schooldays - were very young when they started, and it's not surprising they have changed again and again. Scott's long face and coloring are consistent enough that he's easy to spot over time, but Mitch and Kirstin have changed both with age and by art - makeup, haircuts, dye and wigs in Kirstin's case, facial hair changes for Mitch. Even Kevin, the PTX rock of stability, has significant changes in his haircuts and facial hair over time. You might try some of the live performance videos. The recent Christmas tour, titled Evergreen (as was the recent album), has a lot of video available via fans with good cell phone cameras, as well as professional recordings from the televised specials this fall and early winter.
When watching live they are still great but the Official video is best (in my opinion). I would recommend Can’t Hold Us as next Pentatonix reaction. Scott and Mitch have some great rapping.
Your audio was quite good. A few pillows or blankets on the walls would kill the small amount of room echo on your voice/mike. The music video's audio was fine. The slideshow was very effective and maintained contact with the flow of the video.

Avi and Kevin's shared apartment kitchen. $400 was just for the supplies, blue contacts, ring light, black sheets etc. Fifgen Films did the production and editing.

I’d like to second the recommendation for Love Again. Avi and Kevin are especially awesome. They are 10 years older than they were when they started. It has been great watching Mitch grow from the recent high school graduate who was bullied for his voice to the man he is today. He appears so confident and comfortable with himself today. Kirsten changes looks like the rest of us change clothes.
I’m sure others have told you, but these are the same people. Only change in the group was bass. Matt took over when Avi left the group. Mitch changes his look a lot, as does Kirstin. That confuses a lot of people :)
You have to do what you have to do to get your video out. I was used to the video and I can do what I want to do by not excepting this. I’ll watch others with video. This is the first time someone has done this for me. Others are doing videos successfully.

They are 10 years older than they were when they started. It has been great watching Mitch grow from the recent high school graduate who was bullied for his voice to the man he is today. He appears so confident and comfortable with himself today. Kirsten changes looks like the rest of us change clothes.

The reason you see a lot of boxes from Pentatonix is because they continue to do videos during Covid.

I’m sure others have told you, but these are the same people. Only change in the group was bass. Matt took over when Avi left the group. Mitch changes his look a lot, as does Kirstin. That confuses a lot of people :)
The only member that has changed was Avi left and Matt has taken over the bass. They always look different, but Kevin and Scott

You have to do what you have to do to get your video out. I was used to the video and I can do what I want to do by not excepting this. I’ll watch others with video. This is the first time someone has done this for me. Others are doing videos successfully.
