This is the first tutorial that someone actually explains how this game works. Most iv seen barley explain objectives and how the maps are set up. Thanks for a good tutorial!
***** ? Please don't. I thought Hearthstone had some fucked up prices, but this is a whole other level of shit. Sadly I can't do much about it, but even buying this crap on sale gives this business model legitimacy. I'm not saying every hero should be free (would be nice though, I'm sure the cosmetics will sell as well, but hey, Blizzard is sooooo poor, I'm sure they need it...)but a buy every hero for 50-60 euro option would be fair IMO. Instead they expect me to pay ~200-300 for a chance to play this game to the fullest. Absolutely disgusting. So sad Blizzard has decided to go the F2P route (HS, HOTS, Overwatch). Ohh I'll be playing the games, nostalgia/a confusing love for all games Blizzard will take care of that. But if you think this is the way to get another cent out of me, think again. I don't need it that bad, not when I can buy at least 20 brilliant games for the same money as your full DOTA clone experience.
Frans Blaz The difference between Blizzard's F2P model and most others is that you don't really become overpowered when you buy the stuff, and just not buying the stuff is a totally viable option. Sure you can buy all of the heroes that you want but that doesn't buy you good skills at the same. Same with Hearthstone. You can have every card in the game but that doesn't mean you know how to make good decks.
Frans Blaz I agree, as a big fan of WCII and III and Diablo and DII etc, I sort of miss when i was a big fan of blizzard. Luckily i never actually played more than 20 hours or so of WoW and it seems around that time that they just straight for ur wallets lol. I do happen to play dota2 (played it back in SC and WC when i was dar too young to be any good). My main issue for this game is if there are obvious counter picks to an enemy hero or strat, but u simply do not own that hero. Also i would expetc a LoL style churn out of new heroes in order to make more cash, each new hero being usually op for a week or two before its nerfed. no doubt a genius strat in order to make people getting owned by the new hero think "damn i wanna buy that guy!" If they had made a genuine f2p moba i would have been so up for grabbing my dota chums for a game when it came out, we all used to play the classic blizzard games and most of them played WoW, but as it is none of us are interested... Having said that this does look fantastic for a younger audience to get into the moba genre. The vibrant colours, mounts, and lack of denying or costing ur team greatly with each death. Its like a starter moba with familiar faces. Overwatch also intrigued me but that could not have looked more like tf2 if it tried. the medic and the healing guns, the turret that happens to use the exact same amount of "scrap" to upgrade and has levels 1-3. thats not a bad thing either cus i love tf2 but that is also gonna be so god damn p2w. (i would love to be proven wrong)
Whenever I used to lookup help when I needed it for DkS 1-3 I always appreciated your videos. I just did a search for a guide and as soon as I heard “hey guys cowboy here” I knew I had clicked on the best tutorial. Thanks man
I REALLY appreciate the guide and the entire playlist you made, thank you for all the time, effort, and passion you put into your work and being willing to teach new players and current players about new things! This means a lot to the players, especially the ones that need more information
I installed this game yesterday and did the tutorials plus 1 ai match. I hate MOBA's, but definitely had some fun, I'll try a player match today to see if that ruins my experience like it did with LoL.
Ravitsunami 2000 I cannot handle the game, its really no fun for me. I can't play a game that I don't enjoy. I left half way though my first match. I really want the skin but I don't play Genji so I can live without it.
My GOD. This sounds daunting as fuck. I'd like to recommend as well as doing the tutorials (I'm re-installing after not getting it the first time) is watching pro game tournys or descriptive twitch streams to get an understanding of how to play the objectives of each map.
Hey there cowboy, I was just wandering if u could make videos for the updated heroes. Kidding aside, can't find a youtuber that is as informative and details as yours. Thanks!
Very good guide. better in the in-game tutorial imo. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seemed like you got a bit quieter around the time you started explaining Blackhearts Bay
I have been a League of Legends player for quite a while now and i don't think that it has a lo to offer anymore, so I am really intrested in playing a game such as this, with higher level of complexity. However that's just my opinion and i don't know if a lot of people would agree with me, because games that are harder to play do not really attract gamers as much.
Very informative and well explained. I'm a hardcore Dota 2 player and HoS seem to require more skill and cooperation between players. Would you say they differ a lot? Will try HoS once I get my hand on it thou :)
"Yo, this guy is helpful as shit, huh?" said dad. "Yep. Shh." said daughter. Well excuuuuuuse me. Thanks for being more enthralling than I when it comes to explaining WTH is going on in this game haha!
Thanks for the video. I'm currently a Dota2 player and I do like the game. There's plenty of things I don't like but what I do like is the competitive aspect of it. This can be frustrating with the poor match making system but I like the level of skill required for it and the amount to learn in it. Do you think I will find HOTS a bit 'dumbed down' for me?
Is this like the smash and all-star for PC because I don't play PC but recognize a lot popular faces or would PC players still like a party brawl game?
20:31 underground??!!! Why play League when you literally have an Underground location on the map in this game. It just shouts creativity from the developers of this game
Thrall definitely shouldn't be "assassin" category. Already a complaint. He should be warrior or support for sure. Def mis-categorization on Blizz's part. Not a big deal, but weird and out-of-character design going by the "squishy" comment.
Looking for some people to play with, i'm level 9 atm. I like to think i'm alright at the game, (def not bad) know the mechanics, etc. I'm just tired of queuing solo and getting the teams that literally is their first times playing mobas, and the other team just steamrolls. General chat in the game is always full and there's no real way to talk to anyone else in-game other than whispering so I have to ask in outside sources like this. :P
Tea Drinking Top Hat Tipping English Man i can appreciate their efforts for trying something else but it won't be very successful because it's just not nearly as competitive.
+Liam Han Sorry but I have to disagree. This game sounds like the game that could actually get me into this sort of game. The problem with all the things you mentioned is it's fine if you have an IRL friend willing to sit there and teach you the game. The problem is some of us don't have that. Some of us friends that don't have any idea what MOBA is. Some of us have friends that have actual lives and families and can't sit in a match for over an hour on one match Those of us that don't have these luxuries should be able to play a MOBA game if we want to without being yelled and screamed at by a bunch of toxic people. All those things you mentioned are the exact reason why the other communities are so horribly toxic. They expect you to know every term every build every tactic in every lane before you start you first match. That is unrealistic. Contrary to what people believe about "having a thick skin" and "tough love" a vast majority of the people don't want to be on receiving end of that kind of treatment. The game will last because people like me that have been called every name in the book (and even a few that aren't) by the LOL community will flock to this game. So what if it isn't super competitive? Can't people just play a game to have fun anymore? If people play this game and have fun so freaking what if isn't going to net them the big bucks like LOL players. I swear gamers anymore are so concerned with every game having to be super hardcore and competitive they forgot to actually have fun. This entire generation of gamers have lost the whole meaning of game. A game is something meant to be fun. It is meant to be a past time. Not an ultra serious do or die blood sport,
Umm... Do you think you could do a guide for intermediate players? I've just been REALLY sucking lately. Like, Haven't won a non-bot match all week and I play 3 or so games a day sucking. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I've been reported several times for "Not Being a Team Player". I'm starting to consider just uninstalling and being done with the game, but I'd rather not. Edit: I'm currently player level 72. I used to main Tychus because he just seemed to work for me as a newb, but have been discouraged from doing so due to his situational trait. Also, the whole team player thing, it's not that I'm not trying, it's that I suck in team fights.
I just installed it today, first moba, 10 games and not even 1 win. Is this normal? Do I really suck this much that I make everyone lose? I try to go for objectives and I don't really get killed that much. It's getting frustrating. Seems I suck at mobas.
This is the first tutorial that someone actually explains how this game works. Most iv seen barley explain objectives and how the maps are set up. Thanks for a good tutorial!
10 bucks a hero?
I tought Riot was moneyneedy
***** ? Please don't. I thought Hearthstone had some fucked up prices, but this is a whole other level of shit.

Sky Flawless Yea, i just started playing, and the price are just outrages. Few heroes worth, and i can buy a whole damn triple A game.
Frans Blaz The difference between Blizzard's F2P model and most others is that you don't really become overpowered when you buy the stuff, and just not buying the stuff is a totally viable option. Sure you can buy all of the heroes that you want but that doesn't buy you good skills at the same. Same with Hearthstone. strikewolf42 True unless you have Dr. Boom. Always Dr. Boom...
Whenever I used to lookup help when I needed it for DkS 1-3 I always appreciated your videos. I just did a search for a guide and as soon as I heard “hey guys cowboy here” I knew I had clicked on the best tutorial. Thanks man

Hi! Are all heroes unlocked? Or do I I need to buy?
Ishy Yoshihara You need to buy most of them, but a few are on a Free to Play rotation. You can buy heroes with ingame money or real life money
Thank you!
Yeah man like I hate them too but it's just because I suck. I want to get better but idk why
It's almost always the players that ruin the moba experience, I believe..
Yep watching this just so i can play the Nexus challenge for Genji Oni Skin
same xD
i really want the genji skin... but this game is so boring... i just cant...
F E A R . Just grab a mate and snap out 15 games, they dont even have to be wins. The promotion lasts a month so one every two days works
Ravitsunami 2000 I cannot handle the game, its really no fun for me. I can't play a game that I don't enjoy. I left half way though my first match. I really want the skin but I don't play Genji so I can live without it.
same
I was there when it started, and play it again today. HotS is one of my all time favorites (and I am 58 years old so that means something).
When you need to start playing Heroes of the storm to get the new D.Va skin
Rowan Mayer yes I really need help with that so I get him, anyone up to play with me?
I was in th same boat as you, but once you go on there are more than enough people looking for more
there is no game i google that you don't have a walkthough for but keep killing it.
You should do a new version of this cowboy, pls.
GREAT video , thorough explanations & I learned a few new things , despite not being totally new to Heroes !! Keep it up !
Thanks for guide, mate. I found it quite helpful. I appreciate the map-specific tips
My GOD.
This sounds daunting as fuck.
I'd like to recommend as well as doing the tutorials (I'm re-installing after not getting it the first time) is watching pro game tournys or descriptive twitch streams to get an understanding of how to play the objectives of each map.
Fox Makeba I've watched some pro games and they don't really say anything, similar to most pro moba games, but this was great
Hey there cowboy, I was just wandering if u could make videos for the updated heroes. Kidding aside, can't find a youtuber that is as informative and details as yours. Thanks!
great! looking forward for it. More power!
is it weird that I watched this video and enjoyed it even though I have no intentions of getting this game? lol
ITS HIS VOICE
is it only me or the sound is a low ?
The sound could be a little is a higher.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
or you could turn up your sound -_-
I have YT & Computer Volume all the way up on laptop. TV muted as well. It's too quite. Great guide but volume needs to be louder.
Good guide. I'm looking forward to guides regarding the different maps (when to take mercs on haunted mines etc.).
thanks. this video helped me to basicks 😊
Shout out to all my boys doing their homework for that Overwatch loot instead of collectively throwing matches
Very good guide. better in the in-game tutorial imo. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seemed like you got a bit quieter around the time you started explaining Blackhearts Bay
When can we expect showcases for the new heroes?
Great video very informative. thanks
Very good guide! Thx!
Great video thank you
Thank you! 😄
I have two questions. What do the mercenaries do exactly, and what map is the best for a new player that is used to league.
Empi I think a lot of people find this game to be simpler than the others...
majik16106 I know I do.
Very informative and well explained. I'm a hardcore Dota 2 player and HoS seem to require more skill and cooperation between players. Would you say they differ a lot? Will try HoS once I get my hand on it thou :)
Very nice guide , you earned yourself a sub and a like m8 ;)
Thanks Heaps
Well explained video, subed.
In LOL,melee assasins are the best match to my playstyle (talon, zed, etc) so in this game, whose playsyle is closest to theirs,im looking at illidan
Thanks for the vid
Thanks a lot for this Vid
Reordered overwatch origins,
Gotta learn this game for tracer xd
Im a beginner to heroes of the storm, what character would be good to start with? Ive played league of legends
Thanks :)
Just here so I can learn how to easily do the nexus challenge :).
looks good
The beginning was helpful, but I don't know anything about strategy behind the placement of dragon knights and such so the ending didn't help at all.
"Yo, this guy is helpful as shit, huh?" said dad.
"Yep. Shh." said daughter.
Well excuuuuuuse me. Thanks for being more enthralling than I when it comes to explaining WTH is going on in this game haha!
I'm more surprised this is still relevant considering how old it is.
heros of the storm 2.0 made this game a lot better
9 years ago. DAMN
Thanks for the video. I'm currently a Dota2 player and I do like the game. There's plenty of things I don't like but what I do like is the competitive aspect of it. This can be frustrating with the poor match making system but I like the level of skill required for it and the amount to learn in it.
Do you think I will find HOTS a bit 'dumbed down' for me?
great vid, really informative cowboy so thanks, looking forward to release, what do you think will be best character and map when it all comes out?
TheMad Celt
Is this like the smash and all-star for PC because I don't play PC but recognize a lot popular faces or would PC players still like a party brawl game?
There isn't any relation with those games, this is a MOBA
+FightinCowboy Thank you for making this video, you just made a lot of people a whole lot better. :)
20:31 underground??!!! Why play League when you literally have an Underground location on the map in this game.

Anyone else wanna reach level 12 for a hearthstone card back? :D
mrjossu yes
9 months... still haven't reached level 12
You''ll get it.
can you get gold from just playing the game or only missions and leveling up ?
Only missions and leveling up
TutorialCheese you get gold per game
Looking for some people to play with, i'm level 9 atm. I like to think i'm alright at the game, (def not bad) know the mechanics, etc. I'm just tired of queuing solo and getting the teams that literally is their first times playing mobas, and the other team just steamrolls. General chat in the game is always full and there's no real way to talk to anyone else in-game other than whispering so I have to ask in outside sources like this. :P
Gonna go the game in 4 days we can play then xD
stiches is basically pudge in dota 2
Pudge is based on abominations from Warcraft...
i like how they are making unique hero ability icons now it was pretty lazy just reusing the ones from the franchises
shay campbell With everything they had to do. I'm sure their highest priority wasn't icons...
shay campbell who gives a fuck?...
Its an interesting game!
What hero do u think is worth buying? I want illidan and nova but they seem pretty hard to play
Amigo Wonka That entirely depends on your play style.
Great video but you can get a lot more than 3-4k a week.
I don't understand ;-;
me too. i lost it at the map...
I hate this game but I want that mount so bad damn it...
Too much information to remember.
This game looks so interesting and fresh from league/Dota but it's so confusing , or am I just over complicating the goal of the game
just playing to get the oni and officer skin for overwatch ;\
i wanna play a murlock :l
You have the sexiest voice I've ever heard xD
Should play some more dota 2
Yotek G&A nothing new for him to play in dota
this wouldve been such a better game if it was simply 3 lanes with items and no talents like dota and LoL. the graphics are astonishing
key thing you mentioned which is probably why they didnt do it.. "like dota and LoL"
Tea Drinking Top Hat Tipping English Man i can appreciate their efforts for trying something else but it won't be very successful because it's just not nearly as competitive.

I don't play competitively enough anymore to really do guides to be honest.
Who else came here for oni Henri and d.va
I CANT EVEN LAUNCH THE FUCKN GAME
I just installed it today, first moba, 10 games and not even 1 win. Is this normal? Do I really suck this much that I make everyone lose? I try to go for objectives and I don't really get killed that much. It's getting frustrating. Seems I suck at mobas.
Well it's your first Moba so your going to be pretty bad for a bit you should prob do some bot match's till you get a feel for the game
Sorry for being a little late but if it's your Moba it might be a little rough but you will get better in time
You need to use beginner terminology too cause I'm still having a hard time understanding LOL
Just started playing this and I suck. It feels awful.
OK so pretty much Heroes of the storm is like and adventure game of chess?
Like you have to do something to do something to destroy the enemy team?
dota is from wow
not starting fast
this is a dota rip omg
Well if it isn't overwatch i will never ever play this game
Like
great video! love watching you. got a channel myself! I really would appreciate if u could check it out!
to me it looks like a mixture of Dota 2 and LoL (dota player here)
