I tried the true tf7 in EE and I felt the same thing with the pinky toe so I didn't buy them, I got pair of ccm ribcor 78k size 8 EE, they are actually wider than the new ccm model 88k and the ccm tacks 9370 ee were still too narrow.
Hey nice vid Big calves as well !! I wear 9.5 EE in CCM and 9 EE in bauer but it has always been too narrow so I punched the boots out Yet my feet are so wide and my shoes have been so narrow ever since I was young that my pinky twisted a bit I am looking forward to purchase the tf7 what size should I get ?
I would go 9 EE if I were you. I can skate with TF7 for 8hrs easily that never happened before because of the pain from my feet. This one has the widest toebox. Make sure to bake properly for the better fit. I looked around some reviews on RUclips and found negative reviews for TF7 being way too wide and saying that causes the foot sliding and hitting the toebox. I was like that's perfect for me. That's not going to happen to my wide feet and also baking skates provides ankle lockdown so that my feet will never slide. Also good idea to try them on at your local store to make sure the sizing.
@@shomurakamisan thanks a lot for the reply and the advices 8 hours !! Can't skate more than 2 hours with the tacks ! I've seen a couple of reviews that mentioned the width of the skates I was kind of worried about it cause I thought it could be too wide for me and they even said it opens up a little bit more after 2-3 times wearing them but I'll give it a try Unfortunately there is no local store close to my place that sells the brand so I might send an email to True hockey as well Thanks again
How's your heel lockdown? I'm 8 4E in running shoes too. I thought True runs longer than usual compared to Bauer/CCM? I'm thinking about picking up a TF9 in 6 Wide as I'm hoping for wide foot friendly but with tighter heel lockdown.
If your size is size US8 and wide last in shoes, you should go size 7EE or 6.5EE in hockey's. For me size 7EE is perfect. Comfortable on toebox and heel lockdown is ok because when baked in oven heels will shrink.
Hi, I'm extremely flat footed, do u know if this model may match this foot type? Do you know if the low arch Insole type that comes with the TF7 may be good for flat feet?
I have flat feet as well...I didn't get any issues so far with original insole. If you have flat wide feet, this model is perfect for you. I got these because I saw some reviews complaining about those skates being way too wide. Also remember it feels different before baking and after because you will get more ankle and heal lockdown after baking then your foot doesn't slide and hit the toebox.
Hi, thanks for the information!! Also, do you have a way to know If the low arch footbed that comes with the tf7 has lower arch then ccm low profile insole or some other hockey insoles? And if because of the one piece boot, the arch area is thermoforming? Thanks a lot🙂
I’m thinking about getting a pair of these, I’ve heard they fit longer than Bauer and CCM skates, also I have a high volume foot so would a 9W work? Or should I get a 8.5W
If you are US10 in shoes and have a wide foot👟 , you should get a 9W. So many people say they are too wide in reviews maybe that's why feel like they are longer.
Hi, Thanks for ur question. I felt a little pain on my pinky in the first try as I said in this vid but after baking in the oven, I feel much comfortable with those. I think toebox streached a little bit. I said wear double sock for molding but actually I didn't wear double sock, just single sock but thicker one. I am going to skate with these tomorrow then I will do the performance review soon. Do you want to know the insole measurement by tape measure or the size? Size is 7W.
@@shomurakamisan yes please and thnx in advance, although I user Bauer 8EE. Very interessed in these skates. Always have a hard time finding skates due to wide forefeet
My longest foot is 26.8 cm, I got the True TF7 in 8.5EE and I found it narrow in he pinky toe too, do you think it's going to stretch after breaking period use?? I found the insole very narrow even for a wide fit compared with Bauer Nexus or CCM Ribcor and Tacks, thanks
@@shomurakamisan nope, I haven't baked them yet, I will skate a few times to see how they mold naturally to my feet and then I'll seek for baking if the issue continues
@@Monsieur-Estrada I highly recommend baking. You can use the ordinary cooking oven. I did it for the first time but it was easy. Follow the baking instruction to make sure the temperature and time etc and you might need shrink wrap for your ankles. I followed the instructions carefully because you got only one shot for molding.
@@shomurakamisan do you think the trick with double socks did the job? I ha ve the same issue. Do you think I can heat up locally the place where it hearts pinky and push it from inside. BTW, I have the issue only on the right foot. The left is perfect.
@@shomurakamisan thanks. I wish it was still available. I ordered their custom (which is not custom its a lie just like other "custom" skates of buaer and ccm). Do you know their new version that you can currently buy?
