@@adebeautybox You have to wear them in the right season. I wear in the cooler season. It’s not nice in warmer weather. In fact, I get lots of compliments. It can be overwhelming when worn in hotter weather.

China Town was not a love at first sniff. However, it grew on me after sitting on my shelf for almost two years.

Chinatown is good in the winter. I didn’t like it when I first bought it but it grew on me. I didn’t like Black Orchid for years now I can’t get enough of it. Black orchid is a compliment magnet. I haven’t worn Chinatown enough to see if the compliments are there but I usually wear it when I wear a bob and bang hairstyle 🤷🏽♀️ it has to be a vibe 😂
I didn't like Black Orchid either at first, I decided to get my bottle out and try it again and I love it!

My SOTD is something light because today is Sunday Bum day for me lol, Vanilla Bourbon by Mixbar. This $20 fragrance from Target does its thang you hear me 😂❤️

Went to brunch with the "gworl-friends" today, the S.O.D. was Casablanca layered with- in you guessed it, my favorite of the moment Kay Ali Vanilla 28. The valet driver told me I smelled intoxicating...EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I've never been told that before. As I walked into the building, two ladies told me I smelled lovely. My besties told my I smelled sophisticated and they loved it. One of them told me to text them what I was wearing. There is absolutely no better compliment than "you smell good-good!!" I love the velvet rose and Oud. That one I didn’t include in the video I sent you on IG but that was my SOTD! I mixed it with the crème and topped it off with Rose 31 from Le Labo for longevity. It’s 8:15 and I’m still getting compliments from when I put the pair on at 8am so it’s giving 10-12 hours.
There's just sooooo many floral floral's out there so Bond 9 would be a skip for me. Doing Fall blends like the new Gucci Guilty Intense.

I am a longtime Bond No. 9 fan but their offerings can be hit or miss. I bought my mom a bottle of Chinatown about 20 years ago. You are correct that it is not a new fragrance. I bought/absolutely love the original New Harlem formulation and it has been unavailable for a few years. Apparently, its back and I am afraid to try it because retakes/remakes can be so different from the original. I also own Madison Ave. Its not a fave of mine. If you know of something that I can pair/layer it with to change it slightly, please share! I want to like it and wear it more.
I have been wanting a JM perfume. I might pick up the one you recommended I have heard so many good reviews.

I got a sample of China Town I did like not loved it though but I layered it with Fall in bloom from BBW and it came out a nice combo, I tried the same with Aventus for her that I felt a mature vibe as well but did not work because Aventus is stronger 🤦🏼♀️ What’s the difference between Tom Ford Black Orchid black bottle from gold bottle?
