Had an LG flip phone at one point around 2005 or so. It had what we now call a selfie camera for video calls, which was really cool back then.

My very first "portable" phone was a Motorola Startac, and my second was the Razr (back then we actually hung on to phones for _years_ )...good memories.
And I wish they made good flip phones today! Not everyone wants a so-called "smartphone". Right now I use an Alcatel flip phone, because there are just very limited choices for flips in the US, though I'm hoping that with the current desire building up for "detox" phones, more and better flip phones become a thing again.

I have two nominations; the Sanyo SCP-5300 and the follow-up SCP-5500. Both phones were from an era when someone making or receiving a phone call in public was still something of a showstopper. I brought my SCP-5300 to work and took photos of co-workers to show them. I think that this would have been late-2002. The novelty of taking pictures with a phone was something new and pretty wonderful.
The SCP-5500 remains my favorite phone. The selling point of the 5500 was in being able to record and send 15 second videos to loved ones and friends. I still remember how utterly cool that was.
A good selection of the photos and videos taken on the SCP-5500 in the early-2000s yet survive since I had uploaded them to Sprint's website then to my computer. Yeah, they're somewhat grainy and crude but each is a precious artifact recalling simpler and, for me, better times.
The SCP-5500 was my last flip phone and I still have it. It can hold a charge for three days or more and contains original photos and videos which were on the device when it was decommissioned on Saturday, December 4, 2004 when I bought a Palm Treo 650. As I stated earlier, simpler and better times.

I had the blue 5500 when I was living with my dad in his apartment…at that same time I watched Igor over and over.
This was back in 2008 when I was in preschool. My first-ever phone that kicked off my collection was a pink Motorola RAZR on Verizon. After that I got a Motorola V60T Color on AT&T, then a Verizon Kyocera KX414, and then a BlackBerry 7105T, and then my collection grew bigger and bigger.
