    You showed very little Mussoorie, specially when you were there during weekdays. In weekends, this place is fully packed with no hotel rooms. There are tourist attractions nearby ex Kempty falls, Company garden and even Mall road is more vivid during evening.

      Thaophy Thaophy Do good research, don't travel in trains unless it is AC Tier 1 or 2( u have to pre book it i guess),try maharaja trains they are very luxurious.
      Northeast, Kerela,Goa, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Hill stations of north are pretty beautiful.
      They are a bunch of places of historical significance but you may find them a little overwhelming.
      Book hotels from OYO ir MakeMyTrip App
      Have a good journey and sorry for the incidents of racisms faced by some people of your community.

    Hi Gabe. Don't know if you'll see this but just rewatching & wondered if you've read any Ruskin Bond? He's elderly now but from Mussoorie. *Amazing* writer. Anglo-Indian & writes the most incredible descriptions of India. Hope all good with the current island life dude. Stay safe👍👍👍👍

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  3 года назад +1

      Nope, never heard of him. How has your year been during the pandemic? Did you manage to travel anywhere?

    • @unklemunky8992
      @unklemunky8992 3 года назад

      Nope, stuck at home in the UK unforch & it's cold af. I think I've cracked it though. At the grand old age of 53 I've decided to do a university degree. Anthropology & Global Development with contemporary Indian Studies & Hindi. Four year course with a year funded at an Indian (or course relevant country) University as well. Fieldwork. Heh. Turns out that these days, if you can read & write & string a sentence together, Social Science admissions boards just *love* old hippies with chequered pasts, a love of people watching and lots of life experience. Who knew? .......Might be an interesting potential option if you occasionally think of hanging up the ole backpack & slipping the boots off for a few years, temporary-like. Jus sayin bro. 😉

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  3 года назад +1

      Right on man, sounds like a pretty darned good plan, for now. I'm thinking about slowing down the traveling to some extent somehow, but not quite sure what that will look like yet.

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  6 лет назад +2

      No the altitude there didn't affect me at all. I don't get affected by altitude unless it's pretty high up. I did notice it in Cusco, Peru and in Leh, Ladakh which are both above 11,000 feet. Even then it was fairly subtle. I went trekking in Nepal up to 18,000 feet and noticed it then but even so I didn't get altitude sickness. Some people can be affected much lower than that, so it just depends on the person.

      Keep in mind that Bhutan has a tourist surcharge of $250 per day. Not certain if it would apply to you depending on where you're from. But that has keep me away from visiting Bhutan. Otherwise I'd love to see it. As for India or Nepal, just depends on what you want to do. If you're in the mood for trekking in the Himalayas, go for Nepal. Depends a bit on the season as well. Nepal is best to visit from late March to early June and late September into November. India you can visit any time of year but the season will determine which part of the country is best to visit. In summer go into the mountains, in winter probably want to go south, etc.

      If you are looking for calm & peace, visit -- 1. Bhutan 2. Nepal.
      Add to that, the whole country can be covered in a few days.
      Anything opposite of that is India.

      abhineet negi have you ever visit nepal? Who told you that whole nepal can be visited in few days? Nepal has so much to see like Tilicho lake (highest lake by altitude) , Rara lake ( lake which change 3 colors on a day ) , bhaktapur( Ancinet valley) , kathmandu's world herirage site like boudhanath , syayambhunath,pashupatinath, pokhara, Everest base camp, annapurna base camp and many more.. nepal being small than india doesnt mean it has less place to visit... typical proudy indian

      Poojaa Dhakal Kid ..!!
      You need to understand the meaning of "a few days" here.
      15-20 days or 2-3 weeks are more than enough to visit Nepal.

      Bangkok Bound Gabriel has not explored western ghats of India. Especially in Karnataka. You should visit Coorg.

    Perhaps you should explore Himalayas. There are around 5000 Yogi's(mediators) there living for hundreds of year
