This song is like, huh? The first time, then you end up listening 50 more times without realizing. It’s ultra deep and smooth. It’s got really good tension oddly enough. I think it’s genius.
It's like when Tim said "we make hip hop with guitar". This band is very similar to that premise. Im super happy with the vocals. Such an interesting fusion of genres.
really digging these atmospheric funky vibes, there were certainly some tokyo ghoul and death note references with the animation, only thing missing would be some ichika in the track somewhere tho lol
"That's it? Okay.." I totally feel you. That's definitely an unusual mixture of groovy prog elements and light, almost pop vibe, and it's extremely well done, but felt a bit empty to me. Was really hoping to hear more of those shhka shhka from Unprocessed
I actually found these guys yesterday, when Tim announced this song on his RUclips community page. I heard abandoned by them, and I feel like you should really listen to that one, didnt feel this one as much as that one.
I really enjoyed the abasi influence in this as you highlighted with their use of that thumping thumb. However I tend to agree, I feel it needed another more chaotic section before drifting off with that dreamy melody to an outtro. Edit: I forgot to mention I really enjoyed the song. These guys are incredibly talented will have to have more of a dig into unprocessed.
"I like blue" this is why I watch reaction videos. Your critique of the composition of this song, is really how I feel about every Unprocessed song I've heard. The parts that feel good feel fucking GOOOOD, but for the most part the songs feel like they end up stagnating towards the middle and not really going anywhere.
Well they had that super catchy first video single (Fear) for their last album, but the second, super complex and "unstructured" song (Abandoned) somehow managed to quadruple the views up to over a million and make that their most famous song. I guess they concluded that they can easily stay on the weird part, structure-wise, without having to adapt "pop music" structuring to appeal to a larger audience.
Old video - but I just saw unprocessed live opening for Polyphia, and I just want to add that Clay Gober is one of the most underrated bass players out there - he’s SO fucking good. SO GOOD. Also, Unprocessed is one of the most diverse bands I’ve heard in a while. Manuel sings everything from falsetto soft highs to screams. They definitely have ALL of the sounds! Agreed with you that the song leaves you wanting more, in several ways.
@todayisdream i think I thought that too.. I don't watch every anime in the world so I don't know. But I've seel a lot of clips and pictures of shows I haven't seen
Tim being able to thump is pretty nuts. The dude is such a jack of all trades when it comes to guitar, but he's also really good at everything he does. Dude is just nuts.
The japanese garden in the backround is actually in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. I'm living there and Unprocessed is a German Band from Franfurt. I love these guys and met them once.
Faithleap Night Terrors, Animus, Submerged, and Morphine Eyes are a good start. They also just released a song titled Psychosis. Honestly, their whole last album was 10/10.
I died at "don't be looking at me with dem seductive eyes fam, i know you're gorgeous af" but like got resurrected immediately 'cause the song is really nice. I mean it is soo chill and l kinda forgot how chill music sounds like lol. So this was really refreshing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nik if you haven't heard of them, can I recommend |Hunt The Dinosaur - Couchlock| just wait for the vocals near the end. I have no idea how that guys does it
I have given it like 3 or 4 listens, and I really like it - but it doesn't end right... In terms of hyping and energy, it feels like ending on a pre-breakdown and it feels so unsatisfying.. Its sad cuz I really like the song, I'm just left disappointed afterward
Hey, Nik. Found your channel quite fun, thanks to your subtle and not so subtle humorous approach :) I thought, maybe you'd like to see Anaal Nathrakh - Forward? It's a super brutal track and I'd like to see what you think on some sfx they put in as well as how they use guitar to give an impression of something else (you'll know what I mean from the first few seconds).
Nik, you are about to be mind exploded. Very underrated set of bands. As a musician I guarantee you're catching that sharingan that guitarist is playing.... But seriously, nik. How long before you assemble your 4 Kages atop the summit of my ears and give us TERMINUS! Hey again, just quantum entangling You into everything I like. #niknocturnal #terminus #blegh
Same for me. I was super hyped at first because I liked it alot but it didnt go anywhere. I feel like that it's a good song to play in the background when you have a barbecue or dinner.
I like this song and I respect the musicianship absolutely amazingly talented dudes but I just felt like the song was really missing that signature Unprocessed sound. Idk I was just kinda disappointed honestly still a solid track just not really what I was personally hoping for.
I really like the instrumentals especially Tims solo, but Im not a fan of the vocals on this one. They sound too poppy imo. I was hoping for something in the style of Abandoned
Dude! I love that you're covering a wider range of bands in the scene 👌 I recommend you check out "Ugly Love" by Like Vultures! One of my favorite bands from back in the day that had a huge comeback recently. I'd love to see you react to that video of theirs! Thanks man, love your vids!! Love from Russia 🇷🇺
You have to check out Experiment on Me by Halsey. I know, but hear me out: she wrote it with Oli and Jordan from Bring Me the Horizon and they produced it with her. One of my favorite songs ever! Sounds just like a BMTH song
*Talented thumpy bois in here*
Nik Nocturnal Who is Tosin Abasi?
i can comfirm, unprocessed's bassist is in fact, one of those, he's so good, Flea would be sweating.
New song worth checking out, from Australia
Diamond construct - phycosis
Hell yea
Y^_^Y
L isn’t dead, he’s playing bass for Unprocessed!!
It took me scrolling down 20 comments to notice this was a Death Note reference
he's playing bass for polyphia** ;D
Awesome comment! I'm making my fiancee go through it and it's her first anime series.
@@donk2427 I commend you sir. A great choice for a first anime.
I just finished that shost
Nik looked genuinely disappointed that it was over
I felt that way too. They should have extended it to 4min
@@monocyte2210 same I was not satisfied
i was expecting some popping in the song, even that type of music can have more energy
Ya my head tilted at the same time as his lol. Felt like I wanted 20-30 more seconds
It built up and built up and BUILT UUUUPPPP and ended. Lol
Polyphia and Unprocessed bassists are god-like!
Word I hope one day they will get as much love as Tim, Manuel and co. everyone of them is insane
from a bassist: YEAH DEFINITELY

Nik, are you okay? Every video starts with a sound weirder than the last
Nothing will beat his moan on Eye of God

Ichika on this track wouldve be a perfect duo
@@greysinclaire ichika just makes everything better too
Swear down that would've been the ultimate trinity
It would been awesome if Ichika had a riff, then another drop and then the actual song's outro
thats the "missing piece"!
"I like blue. All about that blue light"
Someone played to much BF3.. HAHA
Hahaha
Still hoping for a remaster!
“Doo doo brrrrr” so catchy
Tim be getting that Tosin thumb on 👍
it's really cool to see how polyphia has been getting better and better both technically and musically with the years
He even did a promotion for Tosins thumping course on instagram
"That's it? Okay.." I totally feel you. That's definitely an unusual mixture of groovy prog elements and light, almost pop vibe, and it's extremely well done, but felt a bit empty to me. Was really hoping to hear more of those shhka shhka from Unprocessed
I don't like the vocal lyrics. Didn't fit the song.
Enough bands do that . I love that they are getting away from heavier stuff
I actually found these guys yesterday, when Tim announced this song on his RUclips community page. I heard abandoned by them, and I feel like you should really listen to that one, didnt feel this one as much as that one.
Surprised he hasn't reviewed that song, that's the song that they're most known for and I feel that's the reason they blew up even more.
The anime references make me so happy! I almost lost it when I saw L and Kaneki
I really enjoyed the abasi influence in this as you highlighted with their use of that thumping thumb. However I tend to agree, I feel it needed another more chaotic section before drifting off with that dreamy melody to an outtro.

This song really great but it seems like a lot of bands are having trouble ending songs lately
All about having a good outro
it’s the instagram influence
Polyphia Goose has a cool ending imo, not even that hard to play
I love standard metal. But like, so refreshing to hear things that arent just 0s and 1s in a super drop tuning. This is really unique and fun
Loved the vibes but it felt like it was building to something that never came IMO which is a shame
Same here and a lot of people were saying that in the video
I completely agree, it would fit perfectly as the beginning of a 5-6 min epic track
yes...same
Yeah, i see a perfect intro for a metalcore music in that song.
@@Alucard_Dead Maybe if they wanted to ruin an incredible song lmao
Wasn’t the ending a bit abrupt? Like it felt it was gonna pop or something
Felt the same
Nik! You should do a cover of Better Days by Currents!!
Yes!! He should make another heaviest riffs drop e video as well
bro thatd be sick
Yes, please
Are we going to get unprocessed covers? I would love to see you cover Fear

I guess they concluded that they can easily stay on the weird part, structure-wise, without having to adapt "pop music" structuring to appeal to a larger audience.
Such a good song, I really hope it gets some main stream success. It has the potential to.
The more I listen, the more I love this track
Tim's part is very much like Owane - One Curl in Bangkok
Owane is good
I knew I have heard that part somewhere
lowkey lol
Thank you for introducing this to me Nik! This is beautiful! Sincerely, Nick ♥
Nik's reaction to Tim is exactly how I feel every time I listen.

People: Unprocessed sounds like darker Polyphia!
Unprocessed: *makes a song with Polyphia*
People: :o
I'll jam to this band.
I reckon this was shot in Kaiserslautern, Germany, near where they live.
That city harbours the largest Japanese garden in Europe.
I like everything individually, but together it was just okay ( if that makes any sense)
Happy for them boys from my home country🙏🔥🔥

Major avatar last airbender vibes with the art and backgrounds

He has guitar covers for them. Look up Shrezzers on his channel.

love how they turned clay into basically L from death note with the animation xD
Cannot wait for album 4 polyphis 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
I like their djentier stuff way better. And sounds awesome live. Saw them opening for animals as leaders last year. Was a great warm up
Nik, react to Diamond construct - psychosis. Dropped yesterday and its a total banger
Oh man I wasn't ready for that slap part this is so fucking cool, and I don't usually listen to a lot of things other than death metal

Davie is annoying. I know it’s a joke but it’s way too repetitive and most of his content is memes when he’s a music channel
3:34 is what you are here for
I don't like how it just ends, I expected some sort of ending, instead of just not staring the riff back up.
Sold Soul - For Whom the Banshee Cries (Feat. Brittney Slayes) - YOU HAVE TO!
I wash thrashing my house to heavy metal but this came one on and now I'm majestically cleaning up. Untill the next song at least.

I understand the confusion at the end. It sounded like it needed another minute or so =/
Beautiful fkn song though.
Actually that little trick must be concerned by polyphia because polyphia usually use that skill in their song such as Lit, champagne
Gotta love the Kaneki ref
