Don't think the bezel is ceramic, pretty sure it's steel, and in a similar way I don't think the indices are applied, rather pushed through. Either way great looking watch.
Yes, I was looking to see if I could find it listed somewhere. Thinking that maybe they could have changed it for the Black Series, but in my brief search I didn't see it mentioned. I'm assuming still steel.
@@watchchimp3102 I think they're all hardened steel bezels on the 62 MAS models. Ceramic would look a lot shinier and not be in keeping with the vintage aesthetic.
I like it. I want one. I like the date being on a white background so it balances out with the indices. If it was the same color as the dial, it will leave a dark empty spot between the 2 and 4...
Great review. I passed on this one (so far) because of the orange on the bezel. I'm good with the pip though. I need to take a drive to Exquisite to see it in person.
I’ve got the SPB255. It’s great but the included rubber strap is very below average. The nato is far better as you mentioned, but I’ve got an aftermarket sailcloth rubber hybrid that is the most preferable. This watch acts as my “beater”, my infant son has scratched the dlc coat many times 😅 agree with the date window, would have loved matching. The movement is a little inferior than other watches at this price point in terms of accuracy and nowadays I feel like seiko isn’t the value proposition it once was.
Agree 100% on the movement. For this price you should expect an ETA, Sellita, or even a Miyota 9000 series at minimum. Seiko movements are bulletproof but I feel the NH is better than the 6R. All of my NH watches have been very accurate and durable. The 6R, from what I've read and heard, is hit or miss.
Personally, I don't see why people feel the need to get so bent out of shape about low audible clicks of the bezel. Loud clicks serve no purpose other than to alert others nearby of what you're doing. As far as I'm concerned; the more muted the click the better. Feeling the "click" with the thumb & finger is more satisfying. Audible clicks don't make the bezel line up any better. Bezels with quieter, muted clicks line up & lock in place just as well as the ones that can be heard from across the room.
Seiko movements are bulletproof but 3 Hertz just gets a but boring. I wish their 4 hertz movement didnt cost a ton. Miyota 9000 series have rotors that spin forever and are annoying and ETAs are hard to come by (not Powermatic 80, those are 3 hertz) so really Sellitas SW200 seems to be the go to movement for right now. NH35 if it's a cheaper watch. I've had great luck with all of my NH35 watches.
I really love the black series. One of my favourite releases of each year. Seen a few in person and they're just incredible to look at
Good to see you here 👍
Sharp looking watch! 👍🏻
Wow, looks great on the wrist!
Nice. Love the Seiko stealth models.
Enjoyed the vid 👍
💕 Black/PVD watches when done right (no gloss - unless it's a dress watch). ⌚😎🤙

👍👍👍 Another Nice Watch introduce by Watch Chris - Seiko Black Series SPB253 limited Edition 👍👍👍 Nice Watch 👍👍👍
Sharp! Maybe a dark brown padded leather strap with orange stitching? Lots of strap options here. Bravo Seiko🏁

Wow thats beautiful...
Love this!!
Hey Chris, what mm metal strap can I put on this? Is it 22mm?
Good video review. . Nice Seiko.
love mine
...still...? (thinking about buying) happy ny from berlin/germany😉
Like any black watch.. all's great until you put a mark or scratch on it.. then you gotta break out the black Sharpie and move the watch on quick.
Nice watch, but shtrap? What is a shtrap, exactly?
Seiko do not specify that the bezel insert is ceramic. My bet is DLC coated stainless steel.

I kept thinking of the song 🎶 .. The Dark Side by John Cafferty & the brown beaver band , Check it out ,👍

Seriously, a $1,000+ watch and the bezel STILL does not line up with the indices. I'm beginning to think that this is an inside joke at Seiko.

No chapter ring!
Limited edition yet looks like every other black watch. Pathetic
Funny thing is they will sell out then get flipped for a premium.

Looks nice but I’m tired of all these Seiko colour variations….what we really want is a new model a new design.
Nice watch. Just not a NATO guy😞
I bought this watch, it's lovely looking watch but movement 6r35 is utter shite ,ever 2 ,3days it loses 2to 3 minutes
It wont take long, Pagani Design will have it's own version of this for around $100.
