Great video. Everything was clear and easy to understand and see. I agree that these printers are not made to be user-friendly. Maintenence should not mean taking apart your printer just to clean it. Thank you, sir, for helping users tackle this complicated task.
Wow, thank you so much for this, thanks to you, I fixed my scanner! I though there was no way to fix it and I was feeling really sad about the idea of it being just more waste. Thank you SO much!!
Great video! Very clear and good pace so I didn’t have to pause it and rewind multiple times - thank you so much for saving me from the boredom of having to go scanner shopping for a new one :-)
That really helped me fixed mine, thanks! I made the mistake of not watching the video till the end, and just closed it up when I had it cleaned. But the black motor rod must have not been lined up, so it wasn't feeding! After reopening and closing carefully, all good :)
Also, I'm quite sure the reason it got so dirty is that I tried to scan a sheet of really thick art paper. Don't do that! This cheapo scanner is only good for standard paper.
A mystery to figure out how to access the scanner, I want to thank for your detailed and complete instructions . Getting just long streaks, I think I've got a faulty scanner sending unit. The HP print doctor didn't work either. It will print in color from the computer. It won't print from a scan. Your video helped me figure it out --so many thanks for it .
Yeah too bad that HP doesn't offer any repair services and even spare parts to fix our own printers by ourselves or by third party technicians :/ happy you found this video useful!
Tried this and it worked great! I agree that HP could have designed it better to allow people to easily clean the scanner slit glass without having to unscrew anything. My glass was filthy. Luckily I had the star tool in my supply for these particular screws. I didn't have a spring hook, so I used a metal tooth cleaning hook, lol. Thank you for this video! Very informative and easy to understand.
Bro, please make tutorial for fix vertical lines of printout wheb print in HP Deskjet 3700 series. How to fix it when I already many times clean print head alignment, still found vertical lines printout.
hello, what should i do if the scanner part stopped eating the paper after i tried your method? I did a test print and it printed fine. I tried to do a printer diagnostic through hp smart and it said nothing was wrong.
Hi how do you fix colored vertical lines in the scanner? I did the same thing like you did I also cleaned the surface of the sensor. But after scanning it is still the same except there is a small portion of the paper where it scanned fine but the majority of the paper is still covered in vertical lines. Please help me

Thank you mate for giving this instruction. Shame on HP not to make this easier for the clients.
THANK YOU!!! I fixed my printer because of you!!
Thank you for this! Amazing job.

Thank you thank you!! This was so easy to do! My scanner experienced a spilled drink from the kids.. but doing this got the nasty juice gunk out!

Hi! Could be that the scanner itself (CIS unit) is defective, but I'd have to do a proper diagnose of the printer to be sure :/
I damaged, disconnected the thinner flat flexible cable 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Did it tear or it just came out? if it's not damaged you could reinsert in the connector I think, never opened that part though
I have a 3755 and I agree. A terrible design when it comes to cleaning.
there is a far easiest way,i did it today without screws....
May I know how?
