Nothing like good old fashioned ingenuity!!! Thank you 😊 🙏 big help!
You can actually replace these stems without having to remove the tire or breaking the bead. There are kits that allows you to insert the valve stem from the outside. Search the web for where you can buy the cone shaped tool that you slide the valve stem through and the tool that screws onto the valve stem. If you have the "TPMS valves" that monitor the tire pressure you do have to break the tire bead.
WaveAction777 good to know thank you!
a. you don't bother to include a link?
b. you leave the old inside part of the stem bouncing around inside the tire?
Yes, it is possible to do so, but the new stem is screwed into the old base, which is hollowed out and threaded to accept it. This means the old base is fairly weak; if the problem was mechanical failure of a metal valve base on the original stem, then likely it will fail again. The replace in place kits are not the same strength as a replacement.
@@mscir No stem is left inside, gets pulled out then a new one installed.
Here is one example of how it's done:

@@seabirdsolar No, he's talking about the kits that have a forcing cone to put a normal valve stem back in. They are the exact same part.
Thank you for making this. Helped tremendously
Hey no problem. Subscribe :)
Just done this thank you mate, you saved me few quids, cheers
Cheers! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks....
Thought breaking the bead on my 13' wheel (1965 Valiant S/W, Slant Six) would be easy...it wasn't. Your info on that was exactly what I was looking for.
Glad it can help!!! That’s a old wheel eh?
Thanks. Although I had to waste four minutes to see the stem change, this was still more helpfull than other videos
And you wasted another minute commenting.
You should learn how to skip ahead in videos, super tard!
You could also use a valve stem puller tool to get that old stem out in one pull and you won't lose part of the old stem inside the tire!
I liked your video. But I'm definitely not going to drive over one of my tires to dismount it from the rim :)
WJ Handy Dad
Haha thanks bud!
Like I said I had to get creative!
Common practice in the UK.
It doesn't do any damage and it takes like 5 seconds .
Very ingenuitive ways to break the bead.
Indeed! Haha works
Pozdrawiam serdecznie chłopaki! Dobry i przydatny film!
Hey boy If you use stem.replace tool. It is so easy to replacement.
I had the same exact experience. They didn't replace the stem when they replaced the tire. Thanks man!
Do you have any tips on how to repressurize the tire with a low pressure tire pump once we have broken the bead and the tire isn't seating against the rim and all the air just leaks out as we pump?
Superb! Thanks!
Good easy fix. ignore the stupid remarks.
Just done this, amazing worked a treat thanks so much £15 saved lol
Hey thanks glad it can help! We are all on budgets
Nice. That’s how I broke the bead on my bike tires with a car.
Outstanding
thanks for showing this veryhandy tip Bulli kid
Break as much as you can at a time like a 2x6 vs a narrow pry. You will damage the internals on a tire sooner or later.
True. Not the best removal idea
just back your car up over the edge of the tyre and have someone stand on the far side of the tyre. pops in 10second
You only need to break the bead in one place, just opposite where the valve stem hole is located.
What if the bottom of the valve stem does fall in? What will happen?
Will mess with wheel balance possibly.
TAKE IT TO DISCOUNT TIRE. (FREE)
😊thank you a lot
Welcome
Maintenant il existe des kits pour changer une valve, et ne pas faire de cette façon.
Will this valves fit in any rim...maybe like in a 94 accord rim?????
Yess!
Hi handsome kid. Here you go. Laser 5540 Tyre Valve Tool Set 3 buy it from amazon. Your welcome.
I’ll check it out. Thanks
I decided to do this for my scooter wheel after a few glasses of wine, I got the pry bar in and I was putting in a shim and it FLOOMP and caught my finger in there, a cold tire, chinese rubber, I was 2 seconds away from screaming for help lol they would of had to break my door down, I was fuckin stuck man lol got it out tho lol I hate tires
you can see you were man handling that poor rim all these years
Thank you.
NO PROBLEM HOPE IT HELPS
Thanx
No problem
Don't have an suv so I got a bloke driving a road roller to run over the wheel.
Thanks boss
Pop it out with a set of vice grips good way take someone out of the equation
This boys and girls is how NOT to change the valve stem.
buahahah
If it works, it works
you're not telling us why it's wrong or what to correct, so your comment is absolutely worthless.
Tire shop in my area does it for 10 bucks hassle free and they balance it after. Plus I know it was done right and not half ass buy me 😂
Can’t beat that !!
Yeah, when your skills are worthless and you are not willing to work on them, than you can't beat that deal. Good for you.
drop an addy lol
Would not break the bead like that. It'll cause some creasing on the tire, over time those creases can crust.
daddy You may be right that tire is still leaking so I’m not sure if it has to do something with The bead not seeling properly or another issue
@@BulliKid honestly I've found that it is just a matter of dealing with it. I've had this problem too. Changed the whole valve, even changed the actual tire, so I'm now convinced it'san issue with the rim.
I'v just been inflating them every 3-4 weeks for now. Eventually will replace the rims.
Hmm maybe some hair line crack in the wheel?
@Rex Erection yes. There is a leak around the stem for some reason. I have replaced the entire stem before but I can still hear the leak.
Very creative. Good job!
I like it!
Thanks
where do you buy stems? thanks
Ebay or any tire store
Can you install the stem without breaking the bead?
Some people said there is a tool you can buy to make it work.
I am fine seeing you do rest but the running over it with a car made me feel bad seeing you do it
No tire was injured during this lol
@@BulliKid I know but the going over it made me think tyre split or something so need a new one
Adam Sandler/Little Nicky, Thanks
I don’t need to do all dad there is a tool on Amazon that you could buy without removing tire or breaking the Bead
I didnt know that. Good to know
BULLI KID You’re very welcome just to let you know I think the tools called a quick valve tool
You really need to get the cheap valve stem tool and not use vice grips.
Didn’t know there was one at the time
have it changed in a house of filthy rat tires!!!!!!
Tire shop charges 10$ to do this. Lol
Lol dang fail
@@BulliKid be best for me to pay 10 bucks. Cause I'll tear some stuff up trying to get that wheel off. End up costing me 100$$$ for smashing rim. Putting dent in car. Lol.
Damn it took 2 days to change waste of you tube
Today Tomorrow lol yea pain in the ass
I don not understand breaking the Tire Rim seal ! Totally unnecessary !
How else can you remove the valve?
There are some RUclips videos on this as well. There is a Kit sold on Amazon ,but read the comments . I used a Wood Hanger wire ,it is perhaps a bit large but worked . Bend, form a small hook and force this between Rim,and Valve Stem . Then turn wire so hook will insert in bottom of Stem and full up vigorously ,it should easily come out . Putting it in is where Kit Part helps, but can be done without Kit . Force is needed so be careful not to force it too far ! Once you get the hang of this ,it will take no longer than one minute ,literally . Good luck ,hope this made sense .
NoNeomarxist Actor any link to the kit?
search Valve Stem replacement Tool on Amazon ,or Google. Have no expertise with this Computer.
