    Nothing like good old fashioned ingenuity!!! Thank you 😊 🙏 big help!

  • @WaveAction777

    You can actually replace these stems without having to remove the tire or breaking the bead. There are kits that allows you to insert the valve stem from the outside. Search the web for where you can buy the cone shaped tool that you slide the valve stem through and the tool that screws onto the valve stem. If you have the "TPMS valves" that monitor the tire pressure you do have to break the tire bead.

      WaveAction777 good to know thank you!

    • @mscir
      @mscir 2 года назад +3

      a. you don't bother to include a link?
      b. you leave the old inside part of the stem bouncing around inside the tire?

    • @seabirdsolar
      @seabirdsolar 2 года назад +1

      Yes, it is possible to do so, but the new stem is screwed into the old base, which is hollowed out and threaded to accept it. This means the old base is fairly weak; if the problem was mechanical failure of a metal valve base on the original stem, then likely it will fail again. The replace in place kits are not the same strength as a replacement.

    • @WaveAction777
      @WaveAction777 2 года назад +2

      @@mscir No stem is left inside, gets pulled out then a new one installed.
      Here is one example of how it's done:

      @@seabirdsolar No, he's talking about the kits that have a forcing cone to put a normal valve stem back in. They are the exact same part.

      There are some RUclips videos on this as well. There is a Kit sold on Amazon ,but read the comments . I used a Wood Hanger wire ,it is perhaps a bit large but worked . Bend,form a small hook and force this between Rim,and Valve Stem . Then turn wire so hook will insert in bottom of Stem and full up vigorously ,it should easily come out . Putting it in is where Kit Part helps,but can be done without Kit . Force is needed so be careful not to force it too far ! Once you get the hang of this ,it will take no longer than one minute ,literally . Good luck ,hope this made sense .
